Hello. I'd like to ask a question i found this day date president 1991 rolex on a junkyard i can't see any reviews about it how can i see if its real? there's no rolex company on my town and i can't do a thing about it last time i asked it to be checked they said its real.
I bough one used, but the date just is separate and not altogether. Does that mean it’s fake? Or is it a different type of model? DATEJUST OR DATE JUST
It was Day-Date and Datejust from what I understand. Not sure if they ever made a Datejust with a space in-between. I honestly doubt it. Could be wrong.
I received a 70's Rolex oyster perpetual Date today at work (used gold and watch buying). While seeing how it sets the time, turning the crown CLOCKWISE made the hands turn COUNTER CLOCKWISE. Is that an immediate fake alert ? Id really appreciate a reply. Cheers
Take a magnifying glass and look at the markings on the dial, if you notice any imperfections then it's fake. See if the magnifier(cyclops) above the date window is 2.5 times magnification, fake watches generally have 1.5 times magnification, on a real Rolex the date should just jump out. Otherwise post on reddit (r/watches) there are Rolex experts there who'll be able to tell by just one glance.
No. Your watch's movement is a Caliber 1570 and turning the crown clockwise makes the hands turn counterclockwise. Of course a watchmaker will say the final answer.

I have ZERO experience with Rolex, however I inherited many watches when my father passed away. Included in the collection are three Rolex watches. I took them to a jewelry store where I have my personal watches serviced. They said the "Oyster Perpetual" was fake but the other two are real vintage Rolex's. Also the two Omega's I got are also real. My dad wasn't sure about the Oyster when I spoke to him about it while he was alive. My sister's ex-husband gave it to him. No surprise that it was a fake. did Rolex ever put anything on the outside of back plate. my neighbor has a OP datejust that's from the 70's or 80s and watching you vids I am thinking is not real. the calendar numbers look thin, the date is not magnified, there are no numbers, just jeweled diamonds clockwise and the backside. 36mm brushed outer bands w/ 3 gold thin bands in the mid. says Rolex of Geneva. swiss made with 16-78678 stamped on it
I mean if the date is not magnified that's a big deal. Rolex has been known to make some errors there but I haven't heard of zero magnification. I know the ladies models from the past had some engraving on the back of the case but from what you're telling me your neighbor's watch is likely fake.

Most Rolex movements when you turn the crown clockwise the hands turn clockwise, especially on the model I was talking about. However on some ladies watches, etc, that could be counterclockwizse. But I was correct in that a DateJust Watch turns cockwise while you set it. Maybe the one form 1943 didn't but they all do now and if someone is selling you a Rolex on the street this method still works.

Just curious about the Rolex etching? I have a 2004 Rolex Datejust and can't see that Rolex crown etching at the 6:00 area of the crystal even with a magnifying glass? Great videos, Thanks
Try shining a flashlight at the nine oclock or 3 oclock and see if it lights up. I'm pretty sure they started rolling those crystals out in 2002 but that doesn't mean in 2004 every Rolex had one. I'd have to look more into it.
@@itscomplicatedwatches I'll try that, but this is a Datejust, the cyclops is at the 3:00? This is my only Rolex. I bought this on a wim. The dealer didn't have this in stock. Well, soon four years have passed and by now the design and detail accuracy plus build quality of the best fakes have raised to unexpected heights. And so has the price of the high-end fakes. For the unwary this video now may be even misleading as a high quality fake is nowadays extremely problematic to reveal even by a professional watch dealer or watchmaker without a loupe and a real reference by side of the suspected fake. Still liked for the old time's sake.
Not sure why all the negative comments. I appreciate his video, nasty and all. And it confirmed my suspicion that my even nastier watch was not just a vintage, but a very nasty fake, even to the point where on the back it says gold plated, and the gold is wearing off, lol. But hey, I got it free from a client getting rid of the clutter because it no longer worked. I can't even find a look-a-like anywhere on the net, so it must be the epitome of fake.

Hi.i just had the watch guy at Ben Bridges Seattle tell me the only true way to tell ,is to take the back off to see if it's a true ROLEX,all the other surface tests ,are not 100%,but that store Seattle store refused to take the back off to see.to me that store "Ben Bridges" downtown Seattle,by refusing to take the back off of this" maybe fake rolex" are just as guilty as the bootleggers of said fake / fraudulent watch, and we all know copywright infringement is not a joke, this store in the above mentioned should loose their rights to be a authorized dealer of Rolex!!!!!!!
I subbed!
My mom bought a rolex watch (illegally) from saudi arabia a long time ago, it's kinda cheap but she said she buy it from auction market kind of. So i'm not really sure if the watch is fake.. I hope your video explanation would help me out thank you.
DON'T WAIST HOUR TIME!... YOUR WATCH IT IS FAKE!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
I must say you have a thing for the theatrics because you seriously over express simple things. However, I say you do have a passion and good knowledge
What about a 1000 dollar fake?
Your opinion help lot's of people from buying fake Rolex. Thank you.can you please give me these watch .I love watches but can't afford.pls if you can give.
Saved me from spending some money! Thanks!
Great video, now I really really want a fake because I know 99.999% of people would never notice the difference unless it was given to them for close inspection.
That's good things to know about a rolex we have a couple of them we're gonna have them checked out see if they're real nut thank you have a good day
I can actually hear my rotor, tbh, but that is because I dropped it on a tiled floor once.
That's a terrible fake. Clean Factory is almost spot on
Lmfaooo wow. When you put the crown up to the speaker it was a wrap for me 😂 Now I know what to really pay attention to. Even from stores. If it’s ot from rolex ig its a no.
AR Factory, Noob.....JF Factory.....they are 904L steel and do amazing datejusts.....that is a really really cheap awful fake.
There are better fakes for sure.
That’s prob a $60 fake Rolex. Of course it’s going to be poorly made. Haha.
Rat Rod Studios - DRR Customs Ltd At one hundredth the price, is a real one worth 99 times more?
Should have focused more on verifiable fact(s), such as where the serial number should have been located rather than speaking of opinions - how so-and-so should look like.
In my opinion get a fake Rolex make sure it looks good, but if I can save 3k and get the replica Iv saved like £2900
Awesome. And also, maybe some of your subscrbrs would appreciate an actual side by side comparison.
Pimping it out man.
Like your content, but I have a copy that is complimented on daily basis, but the folk know I cant afford a real one, so if it looks good and feels good, fuck it, you'll do me
My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from MAMACOO
The biggest telltale sign? A guy you don't selling it to you for $200.
I had to order it, so I ordered this watch with a slate dial with a jubilee bracelet. I've been on the internet trying to learn about this watch, ( that has been a safe queen sense new). And Wow, I see so much about counterfeit Rolex watches. I'm starting to worry. I'm trying to make sure the watch is as ordered. and the dealer didn't sneak in parts not OEM Rolex. I told the dealer I DIDN'T want any aftermarket parts on this watch. I bought this watch hoping for a good investment? I really appreciate all your help. Thanks
@@dougharlow6037 Will be easier to spot. If the cyclops is at 3 the LEC will be at six for sure. I've read people not finding theirs on no-dates only to find the crown was like at 8 or 2. On a date thought it would be right at 6. Cheers.
@@itscomplicatedwatches I'm looking at the watch right now. Just to make sure, we are talking about the etching on the crystal, right? I took a high lumens white flash light and can't see any etching?
@@dougharlow6037 should look something like this, www.fratellowatches.com/wp-content/uploads/140601_RolexLEC.jpg however it's possible that particular watch didnt come with a LEC in '04. Something to talk to your AD about if you're concerned.
Are the Bitter Poet Mad Man days and vids over for good?!
Yeah. Pretty much, man.
I'll take and wear the watch!
Too easy

Dios mio... La creatura
looks sooo les quality than a seiko 5. why someone would buy a fake like this instead of buing another original.great watches for same price
I got one fake in my hands and a real one there is no noooo difrents anything realy same i am scared i switch them already lol i dont know no more wich is the fake one :).. dont compare 50 dollar beach rolex ofcourse u can see the diffrents...
I got a tiffany blue.oyster perpetual...$500 1to1 clone..had it next to a genuine..no issues at all!..
This replica is a joke
Will you ever get sold fake from a jewler
Extremely doubtful. It would ruin their reputation.
Get a good fake. This one is bullshit. Actually good ones out there
That’s the worst fake I’ve ever seen review a super clone mine is flawless weight is even within a gram
None of these are good ways bc this is a fashion watch. A 50 buck fake. On more expensive ones, things are more correct
Every detail they defend is ABSURD!! The CLONES use EXACTLY the same machines that Rolex Factory use!!! *amzwatch* A SUPER CLONE is exactly the same quality and exactly the same WATCH!!
Who has a lot of money to buy originals and preserve them 1000 years wear a cheap use it and gift it... A deadly concept this guy is a chutiya fellow...man
Why give this to a friend? It should not be allowed to be out there looking to snare the next unsuspecting buyer.
i seriously doubt that his friend would ever try to sell it as genuine.
He would never try to move it as genuine. Ever.
why the dislikes?
Dude, you almost had me hurt someone. My perpetual time adjust is clockwise crown counterclockwise hand movement. Its a real rolex man.....
Thanks .. I paid 500 for my fake Rolex .. lol. I’m glad I looked you up before . I repent anymore cash on it ... awesome video.. you want to hit mine for your videos .. looked real until I did you check list
