Chris is my uncle ^.^ he was so fun to grow up with. I'm glad you all like his work! He used to let me play in his garage/warehouse of arcade games ^.^
I met Chris a few years back, he he one of the few people in North America that can actually repair system 80B boards. He brought my pinball back to life :)
I got a chance to watch him work on a machine. He's an electro-mechanical engineering artist. Extremely fast, extremely knowledgeable, and able to explain what he's doing on the fly while maintaining an intense focus on the machine as a whole than just the problem on hand at the moment. And thanks for mentioning Sam's in Cameron Park! I used to work nearby and had a lot of pinball lunchtimes there.
I'm an electrician by trade and I'm a self taught EM pin repairman. I've considered going into business and even doing it for a living, but I don't have the personality to deal with strangers and their money. I'm too much of a nice guy and they'd walk all over me. But I have, worked on about 30 different pinballs and bowlers. I have a collection, and I continually buy, sell and trade with several people who know me. I've also fully restored 6 pinballs so far that started out as junkers

Beautifully done documentary. Thanks!
Lol. It's the details like the bolt heads that will drive me nuts if I know they're not right.

Hey do you know which pinball machines were at the library in Davis? I used to go there as a little kid but don’t remember.
Have you been to the Pinball Hall Of Fame in Las Vegas????? NEW building coming in late 2019! 3 times the size.
An arcade named "The library"...genius😎
Very cool!
Wow what a knowledgeable and attractive group of people!
Great video! Is there a version where the music doesn't drown out what people are saying? 🙄
Ever work on a gottlieb big house with no speech and some targets missing sounds
Dammit Toshio!
My first date with my now wife was here in 2006.
The pinball community is still very small, we all know each other. Pinball survives because collectors keep it alive, not the manufacturers.
Pinball genius
I know Chris's less attractive brother, Andy. Great guy. Big heart, mediocre hockey player.
They are all kuntz
Quality is way down from what it once was. The sweaty guys on cocaine building these in the 70’s put our modern craftsman to shame.
