It would fit with previous games too. Darkspawn/evil doesn't care about your identity or past, it kills you and that's it. You don't get to survive because you overcame an identity crisis, you get to survive because you overcame genuine danger. (Kinda like initiation in origins.)
SHOULD MENTION THAT I LOVED THE VISUALS IN THIS GAME AND THAT WAS THE ONLY THING THAT KEEPT ME PLAYING IT FOR AS MANY HOURS I DID,BUT AFTER A WHILE I MYSELF ATLEAST STARTED TO SEE THAT EVERYTHING WAS LOOKING PRETTY MUCH THE SAME(MAYBY JUST ME THOUGH?) PLAYED THE 1ST GAME RECENTLY AND THAT STORY WAS WAY BETTER SADLY !
For me personally i dont agree with your opinion about the fake dagger but its a genuine point you make. The fact that solas thinks hes better and smarter than everyone is the exact reason hes easily tricked. He didnt think anyone would try to outsmart him and underestimating rook was his downfall even solas laughs at the fact rook beat him at his own game. He possibly did think something was up with the dagger as he stares at it for a bit before using but he obv thought noone could pull something like that off and used it anyway. The only ending i hate is the "best ending" most players ive seen on youtube sit bitching about solas and that they hate him for what he has done and they still pick to save him at the end 😂

The southern Thedas, including Ferelden and Kirkwall, is completely turned into tainted wastelands. Everything you tried to protect in the previous games is gone, every choice was manipulated (or did not matter). I would call that utter destruction.
