@@nightnav yes it flew great till the motor mount gave way on take off. It swung back and ripped through the left wing covering then twisted the motor wires off. I have since repaired the damage and will test it again.
The crash looked like to much right rudder! Always takes you into the ground! Your wing may have jumped the keys when landing & a skewd wing is like adding massive rudder!!!
Just before that last flight, it appeared that you made an adjustment on the flight timer. Was the adjustment to add more RPM? That last flight speed appeared faster to me than previous flights. That might have contributed to the spiral in.
Thanks for the feedback. The last adjustment was to increase the dt time from 30 to 90 seconds. That timer does not control the RPM. Only the run time and the dt time. I got it all back together and flew it yesterday. Didn't take any video. There was a little more wind yesterday and I could not get a reasonable right hand glide, even when I added more stab tilt. I was carrying a bit of left rudder to prevent too tight of a bank in the power run. So what I thinking about trying next is to give it a little more left thrust to help with the power run. And then maybe I can take out some of that left rudder to get a reasonable right glide. Had to rebuild the whole front end so its like starting over now. Thanks for the help. Frank
You sure are a wizard at flying most any type of aircraft Frank, always interesting and fun seeing what's next! Have you flown any fpv planes this year? Thanks!
Hi Don, thanks for the compliment. I haven't flown a lot of fpv this year. Did some back in Feb and March. Been busy with other stuff but I'll get back to it. I did fly one of my racing drones the other day, that's fpv but no fixed wing stuff. Take care
@@nightnav this year with having the stroke has been so disappointing for me.I was just ready to maiden 2 glow planes I have and finally get my small squadron of 4 miniskyhunters (still have 1 nib)all flight and fpv ready flying.Still have hopes of flying a new Durafly Tundra V2 this fall if the body and brain cooperates. The dream was get them going and take a road trip and see about flying with you,and another friend in S.C.,maybe in '21 now!
@@jettechdonatkins Don, I wish you well with your recovery. Hang in there and keep fighting. I hope you can make it out here in 21. We can ring out those MSHs of yours.
Hi Colin, Yes I repaired it and it flew again. Once the weather warms up a little here I will see if I can get it trimmed out a little better. Here is the link to the flights after the repair: th-cam.com/video/CPJX-or9WGY/w-d-xo.html
Yes, I remember. Back in the 60s and 70s I flew 1/2A free flight, hand launch gliders, and towline gliders. All had snuffer tubes and used the fuse from SIG with 30 second increment marks.
awesome plane, i just maidened a javelin with a strix timer and 8520 geared motor.
Thank you, I hope the Javelin flight went well.

Frank, Shawn and I were overwhelmed watching it until the end. It's heartbreaking. Man I hope the repairs are easy. Ken

May I ask where did you get the plans / kit for the E-36 Mutt? Thanks.
I bought the kit from Top Notch Models Company. Here is the link: www.topnotchkits.com/index_files/TN_Kits.htm
Anyone else here remember lighting a dethermalizer fuse?
