I remember seeing these on the track and wished I had one as a kid but could never afford lol. So now I ordered 2. One for the shelf and the other for bashing! Thanks for bringing these out Team Losi!!!
Why does it say JRXT 1/10 if it's not 10th scale? Or did they make a typo in the description?? As it says the original was a 1/10 scale...Really hope it is and it's just the camera angles being used here! Also what size were these originally? Thank you for any info! I never got to experience a "real" RC truck until I was in my 20s and got hooked immediately and LOVE Losi I would love to have one of these just to remember where RC came from to where it is today with an updated original sounds cool to me 👍🏼 Weird I google it and it's a 1/16 or something. Why mention 1/10 twice in the description... Think it was a typo unfortunately 😐
It's a retro gimmick to lure the vintage crowd as well as new people not looking to spend $500 on the real deal. If you don't buy it they won't push the 1/10 scale later due to lack of interest and poor sales performance for this vintage test run. They are testing the market with low out of pocket expense models for the consumer as well as the manufacturer.
It’s 1/16 scale, and they said it in the mini jRX2 video that they don’t want to mess with the vintage market so they did the “mini” scale to not depreciate the value of the original JRX series
Was my absolute go-to for fun back in the the late 80's. Should have made it a kit or a roller. I hate buying an RTR and tossing all the electronics. Just goes against my grain. Plus the original, like all rc cars from back then, required assembly. Most of us old timers still think it's half the fun.
My first hobby grade RC. I saw the Jrx2's in 1989 at a demo on a baseball diamond and knew that I was going to have one. Being 10/11 I had no money. Over the next year I saved up and did what kids back then with mowing lawns and shoveling snow to earn money. By the time I was ready to buy, I could afford only the Jrx2. By then I had seen the T and knew that the 2 was no longer my option. On Christmas day that year I got the JrxT! One of the most poignant memories of my entire life. I still get goosebumps remembering all those times. Since then I have rebuilt 3 of the T's. I have rebuilt 3 of the 2's. I of course picked up the mini 2 as well. I just knew that Losi was going to make this happen. Like the kid I was back then, the kid in me today got to live that moment of knowing I was going to have the mini T. I have two on order and just might scream with glee when I see this next to my box art JrxT, Jrx2, and mini Jrx2. Thank you Losi, from someone who has been brand loyal since 1990! I can't believe that 33 years has passed! Thoughts of Sr. fill my head. Good on him and Jr. for what they accomplished back then and now!!! Oh, and if anyone has an original JrxT box that they want to part with please let me know!
cool we are the same age. I didn't get into the losi and AE stuff until i was an adult. always a diehard tamiya/kyosho guy. first was an original clod buster in 1988.
Still have 2 of my 1/10scale losi trucks. The original jrxt and the improved one that came out later. Used to race every weekend in Seymour CT. And Danbury CT back in late 1980s and thru 1994 or95. Maybe I will put up some pics😂
Just got my hands on one yesterday and oh man it’s it a beautiful truck. It handles good it’s super smooth suspension and just a fantastic truck to drive. Mine will be a shelf queen tho lol 😆. Thanks Losi for this truck!!! Btw mine is Chassis Number 4515
I converted my JRXT to an LXT, which I still have. Wish I had kept all the old parts to rebuild it years later, but they were pretty clapped and my interests went to quad racing for a lot of years. But a mini will be fun!
Would you guys consider a mini of the 1991 XX prototype that ran at the IFMAR Worlds and Roar Nationals? The one with the hinged front bulkhead and bearings in the hubs. For people my age, 1991 was the golden year for unobtainable factory prototypes.
Still have my original JRX2, and Junior T. Somehow I missed getting a JRXT back then, but I had so much fun with these things, I went on and got into racing in the 90's. Fast forward to today, I'm 66 yrs old, and my shop is full of various rc cars, so I had to order one of these. Still love them. How about some replacement parts for the old 1/10 scale cars?
@@LosiRacing I've been collecting them since a kid, still use them to this day, I have designated shelf queens, carpet runners and outdoor spec micros, probably own 10% of the UK's entire stock of the micros as I'm that obsessed and always want spares for piece of mind. I cant expect you guys to make a line of micros again but I'm incredibly envious of everybody who grew up with Losi RC's as a kid and got to see a re-release of their favourite childhood RC's once they grew older, if ever a Losi micro line was re-released, just know that my dreams became true!
I said I'd buy three if you did it, unfortunately i can't right now, and limited to 5K just makes it out of my budget forever. I really wish you all could have done it right and offered it without the limit, I always wanted a JRXT, wanted one of these, but looks like it'll never happen. I appreciate you offering it, but under limited numbers, you know the scalpers will snatch them up and double the price the first day, then we'll never see one again
@@LosiRacing You missed the point, Unless you get the limited one, you pretty much have to buy two to get the one you want. That smile at the end, I interpret as you know someone is stupid enough to do it huh? The only way to make it cheap enough to actually do is to make a conversion kit, otherwise it'd cost the price again just to have a truck. hence why i said that route just priced me out, I will not pat $300.00 for a 1/16 scale car with an actual retail of $169.00 (your price). Good luck with that sir
Especially after I missed this time in RC as I was born in 1993 so wasn't old enough to buy to real RCs. Coolest thing I ever had/have but missing two rubbers for back tires is a RadioShack Hot Machine II hahah it was alot of fun as a kid for sure and went pretty good just the no battery pack thing needing I think like 20 AA batteries REALLY sucked!! Losi if you see this you are an amazing company from the beginning to the present you've designed and created some of the best running IMO and have only gotten better with time taking customer feedback and building the EPIC trucks you do now like the Losi DBXL/E and I LOVED my Losi 5ive-T it was a beast with only a 29cc in it! Can't wait to pick up a DBXL-E and another 5iveT but I really hope I can get one of these wicked little trucks just to have part of the history of such an AMAZING RC company! Absolutely nothing but support from this RC enthusiast and so nice to see one go back to their roots! Thank you for ALL you've done and will do for our RC community 💪🏼 Wish your company and all its employees nothing but the best! Losi for life! I actually have my 5T in my display pic on here! Wish I still had it for sure but I'll get another one this spring/summer as it's dirty ol' winter here in Canada! Thanks again for every last thing you've done to make sure you're giving us the best RCs you can!! Losi lover for life 💪🏼🤜🏼🤛🏼

Sell the stock electronics on ebay thats what I do I sometimes ill get half my money back then I have the roller to build

These retros are awesome but really don't understand why they aren't in the original scale..
I've preordered mine - purely sentimental value for me as my 1st RC back in the early 90's was the JRXT :) great memories as a teenager!!!

Why not in 1/10th scale, why????😢

Yes let's do 1/10 losi
When they released the JRX2 Mini they said they did it that way so original JRX2's don't suddenly become worthless.

All slow motion video?

where to get in eu?
Will this be available worldwide or just in the US.
I would have been more satisfied with a tenth scale re-re, rather than this novelty.
