    I learned today that if you top up the AdBlu while the system is warning that an oil change or service is required that will cause an AdBlu Sys Malfunction and No Engine Start warning. Solution is to clear the service warning and then the AdBlu warning.

    Just had similar messages today on a 2018 Transit Custom lwb, guy changed adblue level sensor , 450 quid 🤣🤣 as reccomend by main dealer , even though still under warranty, the dealer said 6 weeks lead time , I did regeneration with snap on verus , all good apart from 30 mins into it , battery went flat on scanner , van stopped running , would not restart, plugged charger into scanner , then cleared codes , re started ok , then regeneration again , and it now said on dash , adblue tank level 10 litres 👍👍, cheers

    Just got the adblue system malfunction message on my 2017 Ford Transit Custom, so I googled problem, and youtubed problem...There is a load of differing information as to what is causing this message, and like everyone who has encountered it, I was starting to panic because I only had 800km before my engine was going to shut down. Before I took the inevitable decision to take it to a mechanic, or worse still, to a Ford dealership, I decided to try one thing. I took my van to a quiet place, with the motor running, I put it in park...neutral would also be OK...and pushed the accelerator to the floor for 5 seconds, then took my foot off the accelerator for 5 seconds then repeated.....I switched off the engine, then started up and repeated the process...Guess what? ...the warning message had dissappeared..only the yellow engine light remained on the dashboard display. The next day there was still no warning, just the yellow engine...so I repeated what I had done the day before. The next time I started the van there was no warning, no engine light, and the information screen said adblue was OK. It has only been 2 days, but I am hoping the problem is fixed....and it is worth trying before you take to a mechanic for an unnecessary costly solution. ...

      Although this fix has worked it’s nothing I recommend, I would advise to do a
      DPF Regen but I suppose if this worked and your not highly fussed then it’s okay.

      Would check live data how the dpf is and what door levels are would require a bit of diagnostics to find out the fault alternatively you could just map the Ad blue a lot of Ford owners recently opt for that option

    Ok guys please help me I have 17 plate ford transit custom (116k miles) I had same message on dash ad blue sys malfunction 400 something miles engine won't start. I watched your video brought it to garage they done regeneration of dpf and it didn't help it actually dropped to engine won't start in 30miles. I brought it home had a coffee started the engine and it says engine won't start in 0 miles. I turned engine off and I started it back again and there was no message any more I was happy. I drove few more days and had this problem back again but now also I had engine management light on. I kept driving and my van broke down I had to call recovery I dropped it to my local garage and it was wet belt snapped whole engine out and it cost me over £4000 to replace cam shaft cylinder head basically everything you can replace on engine. Now just today I've collected my van with whole new engine and everything and the ad blue malfunctioning is still coming on on my dash board right now it says 435 miles to drive. I booked it with ford so they can investigate but I'm desperate and also after so much money I just paid and still this problem. Also they booked me for 12th of the march as they are busy. Now the question is could this issue led to wet belt snapping or was it just coincidence? I had regularly changed oils and servised my van with ford every year. Is it safe to drive or should I wait until they investigate? Please help me (I'm located Liverpool-st Helens)

    • @carhelpforyou5650
      @carhelpforyou5650  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Does the van have any ADblue in it? Is it topped up? Are any lines blocked? Is your DPF filter finished? Does your dpf need removing or replacing? Without seeing the van there are a lot of questions however the garage that charged £4000 should have looked into this issue as changing a engine for a adblue light is not a route I would go down until I’m certain that is needed, as it’s booked in with Ford I’d wait it out and let them check it.
      If your in a serious a hurry try have someone check your DPF and let you know if that’s any good, there is a Ford forum where someone had their DPF removed and mapped the van to rectify this issue.
