I was one of the few people who never used his 6th gen Nano as a watch. I even discovered the whole watch thing after the 7th gen was already out. The story of how I got my 6th gen in the first place was kind of interesting though: I've had a first gen Nano, and my device's serial number was actually on Apples list for a worldwide recall in 2011. Apple promised to replace my old Nano with a recent model, if I send them my device. So I did just that, and actually received a brand new, factory sealed, silver iPod Nano 6th gen just a few weeks later. In retrospect though, I should've kept the 1st gen Nano, as it is now the more valuable and rare device of the 2.
I recently picked one up from my mum. It's an 8 GB model in pink that I mainly use for the FM radio feature. It's fascinating how somewhat decent the radio sounds compared to compact radios you can buy in 2020. I own an iPod collection ranging from an 60 GB iPod video all the way to a 256 GB iPod touch 7th gen. I also recently picked up two iPod touches... a 1st gen and a 4th gen to add to my collection. iPods were really neat pieces of tech in their golden age and I wanted one so bad, but my mum said no because they were really expensive, but now I actually have the means to buy one haha!! It's a bit of a hobby for me to fiddle with these things. I really need to buy a new screen replacement for my iPod video, it's quite sad right now with all the dead pixels. I had one when Apple recalled the iPod nano from the late 2000s. It was the replacement. I only sometimes used it as a watch cause you have to turn it on to see the time. It was kinda annoying to listen to music when you hooked up headphones to your arm haha
@@adoreyou7449 Try doing that when power goes out and you forgot to charge your headphones. I recently bought Bluetooth earphones (to use in the car). In 2011 I turned in my 1st generation 1gig nano due to them being recalled for catching fire. Apple sent me an 8 gig 6th generation as a replacement. I immediately started using it as a watch. First by clipping it to my yellow live strong band (yeah remember those were a thing) and then I found a band on a shelf at Walmart. I used as a watch from 2011 until 2014 when the power button failed from me pressing it 50 times a day. I still have mine though it's docked in my basement iHome. Maybe someday I'll open it up swap out the battery and fix that lock button. Great video my friend!

I'd feel a lot better using on of these for my music as opposed to my apple watch. I still have tons of my CD's stored in my iTunes too
I have that iPod nano. It’s the best iPod Nano by far given its small form factor without sacrificing touchscreen functionality. Clip it on your workout outfit and you’re ready to go. Only thing I wished it had back in the day was internet access for streaming music, news, etc. But I guess back in 2008-2010 media streaming hadn’t taken off yet.

I bought a nintendo ds lite at a garage sale for $10, later I traded it for one of these. It comes with two band, the battery relatively good, and i love it! I use it every day.
The Nike+ didn’t track your steps through the iPad Nano. It was meant to be paired with the Nike+ product, which was a Bluetooth chip you put into a compatible Nike shoe. Then the iPod used the shoe chip to track your fitness. All of the Nike+ features didn’t work if you didn’t own the Nike+ chip and compatible shoe.
Ah, my very first Apple device ever! I got it in 2012 after I joined Apple, and I actually used it as a watch from day 1. In fact, that was the primary reason for me to get it. I used it until 2015, when I moved on to the original Apple Watch, and absolutely loved it! I actually had a stereo system in my apartment that had a compartment with a 30-Pin connector that would automatically slide out and that I could pop the iPod in. Back in 2012, it was pretty sweet, and listening to your iPod music without any cables snaking around was convenient as hell as well!
8:17 it’s a nixie watch using nixie tubes, this is actually 40 year old technology... excuse me flight attendant, the man next to me appears to be detonating a bomb
I bought a silver 8GB sixth-gen Nano from a local Cash Converters, and it's one of the best things I've ever bought. I wear it as a watch today, using a stretchy red band. The battery is still in very good condition, I love the nixie tube watch style, and since I buy my music rather than stream it, this Nano still has great utility for me as both a watch and music player.
I remember actually making fun of people for getting the new Apple Watch. "Oh you got an ipod nano but without a clip and no storage for your music." They did not seem to like that much.
Can't forget the days that I lived with this iPod. It was truly a good friend while I was in the military. I'm sure that I'm still use this if this model has Bluetooth :P miss my pod.
I bought a watch strap for mine as well, even bought a tiny 30pin bluetooth dongle as it didn't have that built in until the 7th gen. Worked pretty well until the first gen watch came out.
@Fermín Cirella, A view isn’t from a full watch; it’s just when you click on the video. TH-cam just can’t keep up because literally half of the internet/WORLD uses TH-cam and you can’t expect it can handle a billion clicks in a few seconds. The likes on the video should always be less then the views, if its not, then the video is probably new and people are just clicking on it and now TH-cam is refreshing the pages. That’s logic.
TH-cam doesn't recognise a view until you have watched it for 30 seconds. Which means that lots of people could be liking and commented without actually counting as a view. Also, TH-cam actually holds back view counts until it's verified that it was a real view and then ads the number later.

I bought a nintendo ds lite at a garage sale for $10, later I traded it for one of these. It comes with two band, the battery relatively good, and i love it! I use it every day.
I missed that. I saw that in real life and I wanted one before. Apple just stopped selling it at the time.
I’ve always wanted one until, the Apple Watch came out, then I wanted one of those
Ah, my very first Apple device ever! Back in 2012, it was pretty sweet, and listening to your iPod music without any cables snaking around was convenient as hell as well!
its feels like 2005 was 5 minutes ago
this intro is dope!!! 👍🏻👍🏻
"Caveman"
That's a strange way of pronouncing "Person that doesn't pretend Apple's scams are courage".
Ok

La Féte lmao no😂
I bought a silver 8GB sixth-gen Nano from a local Cash Converters, and it's one of the best things I've ever bought.
I didnt even knew about this
So THIS is the original Apple Watch.
It’s look legit for running as a watch with headphones in for music. 🏃♂️. Having it in pocket sucks and clip always falls off.
I bought a watch strap for mine as well, even bought a tiny 30pin bluetooth dongle as it didn't have that built in until the 7th gen. Worked pretty well until the first gen watch came out.
Believe it or not I still use mines as a watch lol 😂
Had the same "iWatch" Setup and loved it.

That's TH-cam.
Lol yeah
Because people likes the video and comments "first" before watching it.
That's TH-cam users
I was like 1-2 years old when this released, but i remember my big brother using it.
