Forget 20 cows: you can kill hundreds. A hole would work, but it can only kill or maim one cow at a time.
To be fair, the smell of vomit is instinctively a very VERY bad smell to humans/animals. It means that there is something seriously wrong, and you need to avoid that vomit like it's about to shit down your throat. Most people would gag and want to leave immediately if they caught a whiff of vomit. Unless you're around it frequently, in which case you may be used to it, but that doesn't negate your instinct to hate it.

There was an episode of the Street Fighter 2 anime where Ken and Ryu were in Spain attending a bull fight. After the fight, a bull got loose and started running around. Ken stepped up and was about to attack the bull, when he suddenly realized that he had no idea what part of the bull he should be attacking. Do you go for the legs and try to trip it? Vega was there and he told Ken to attack the base of the horns. He did, and the horn came off and the bull apparently had enough and stopped charging at people, but I suspect this may not in fact be the optimal way to fight a bull.
