- At the WWE 2K24 Community Day event I had the opportunity to sit down with the lead MyGM Mode Designer to discuss everything new this year in the mode.

GM looks like the big surprise this year and 2K seems to have undersold it during the marketing, this is a lot closer to a true GM mode than previous years and as someone who has spent hundreds of hours in games like pro wrestling sim I can see myself playing this version of GM mode now.
I like the fact that they changed the way steel cage matches work in GM. And now those are the ones that you use to finish rivalries
Its like old school wrestling where those matches finish rivalries. Love it.

With the game close to release I have to say it again: it is so refreshing to see previews from a guy who talks like a fan of the franchise instead of trying to make the developers happy. You did a fantastic job since they have given you access and I hope you maintain that energy

I wish you’d concentrate more on what’s good rather than HYPER focus on some minute detail that isnt included rather than the multitude of improvements.
Rather than celebrate the release next week, the incredible number of playable characters, etc … i GUARANTEE all you’ll harp on is the blood doesn’t work…

I like this new talent scout system, the search fee for the higher tier character's is a bit annoying since what we get is random but I enjoy rhe added challenge.

Once they'd added a few things via patch, it became quite a good mode. Admittedly, I rarely get through a full season but it's fun to chuck on, do a draft, work through a few PPV's and because of the shake up cards, I still come across a few features I wasn't aware of.
I've been waiting so long for info on myGM
GM mode is looking good this year, one thing I would have liked is the ability to draft tag teams rather than selecting the individual superstars
I can imagine if Jim Johnston makes a return back. This game will not only be the goat, it will also be make the legendary game Comeback and for WWE at the same time.
I wish they made up a women’s title for ecw or brought back the divas title/women’s title. Ecw is my favorite brand and there’s a lot of awesome women in the game this year that would fit the vibe of ecw very well but kinda pointless to invest in without titles.
Thanks for the info. Really hoping Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber etc. get added in next year, as multi-brand matches like in SDvR. With rewards for the winning brand. Also hope to see brand customization!
Sorry if this was covered, I only skimmed through. But is the a way to upgrade mic skills? I feel in-game some of them are so horribly wrong that they need upgrading.

The steel cage match makes so much more sense as a rivalry ender! In real life, steel cages are more often than not the blowoff of a big rivalry and now we can blow off tag team rivalries!

They should just merge MyGM and universe and allow us to toggle off/on which features we want and which ones we don’t. They should take note from NBA's GM mode, which is incredibly detailed and immersive.
You need to understand 2K has been creating NBA game for decades now, but they just recently started creating WWE games.
2K20 was a crash course in wrestling game development when Yikes walked out with all of the game building tool kits, so 2K had to try to reverse engineer WWE 2k18 in hopes to try and finish making 20. That's why 2K skip the year so they could develop a tool kit to create the next game, so basically they've only been making WWE games for roughly 3 1/2 years or so.

2K became the publisher when 2K14 was already finished and THQ had only just gone out of business.

I can't count how many times I forgot to click on show Logistics and got no extra bonuses and the computer passed me. I am so glad that is in there.
is it just me that wants them to add an option so you and the other brands cant use power cards against each other cause i will have my main title match for mania and the other brands just use veto champion and it really ruins it for me

Ich kotze mich mal auf Deutsch aus und mir scheißegal ob ihr das versteht oder nicht. Mich regt es jedes Jahr aufs Neue aus dass man den Sieger nicht bestimmen kann als GM sollte man dies auch ohne supercard. Außerdem sollte man auch die Match Wertung verbessern können indem man selber spielt aber nein so einfache Dinge kriegen sie nicht gebacken das ist sehr traurig.

Loads of fantastic additions, would love to know what the PLEs are and if they're different. Hopefully they can add in MITB and the Rumble in 2k25, these are the biggest pieces missing from MyGM in my book. Other nice to haves would be Gauntlet match, Special Guest for Tag, Triple Threat and Fatal Four-way, Number One Contender matches and the ability to set up tournaments for them. Can't wait to play the update though 🤩

Great video. You usually kill it and this was no exception. My enthusiasm for the mode and for the game has gone up even further.
Really the only thing that is missing from what I have seen is the ability to have 6 and 8 man matches
I hate that I can’t have women’s title matches for ECW for MyGM. Like, I get that it’s historically accurate, but my CAW fed with the same name does.
Still waiting for the My Faction News. I’m really hoping the address a bunch of issues, with boring repetitive matches(having to face the same opp up to 9 times to unlock all tier prizes)all AI opp having the same payback(Resiliency) As well as no longer getting Duplicate card pulls from a digital pack. That was some might BS. Those are just the basic improvements needed, there are more
mygm needs custom shows, arena's and logos period.
This is a good gm mode but....... it is NOT the GREATEST their are alot of WWE wrestlers in WWE and the idea of having a sum of 10,000,000 would be even better a few more in the list getting to choose only 9 on the roster a roster is 12 to 20 stars maybe in GM MODE IF YOU CAN put in something special for the fans such as like a idea of something like the BARBER SHOP or HEARTBREAK HOTEL HBK. Have the fans have the choice between SURVIVOR SERIES TRADITIONAL TEAM MATCHES and the new main event for the PPV ORIGINS It will not only get them excited but it will keep them happy EXCITEMENT is what you need to be putting out there or people just are not going to be happy if you are a true fan or not just my opinion and the best advise I can advise to anybody being a creator I am a student with special needs
Since the Bloodline story been the face of the WWE for the past couple of years, would of been dope if we would of got some faction DLC's (DX, Nation, Corporation, 4 Horsemen, Ministry of Darkness, DOA, etc ).....also bringing story designer back to create old classic storylines

Good video but the class system and small hard to read fonts are absolutely a deal breaker for me. I dont think they really get what people want out of this mode. Just let me book the shows, manage.problems that come up with the wrestlers, and have the match rating simply be based on how the match actually was using the already built in star rating that really serves zero purpose in exhibition. The difference between this and other gm modes is this is not how a wrestling company is run...at all. There should be politics, egos, wrestlers jumping from show to show. This mode sucks. 3 years now, and it sucks. Cant play matches that involve interference, cant see anything visual with promos, this mode sucks and im tired of being nice.
Screw My GM, should have grilled them about Universe mode, the only mode that keeps people playing after they 100% the game. I get the platinum trophy and all that’s left is Universe. Last year was the first game I dropped after getting the Plat. Universe sucks now!
Hate the show logistics change, that it’ll all be permanent. It’s always one step forward and two steps back with these developers. Why take customisation away? Make it make sense!!!
I never got to Survivor Series or Royal Rumble on 2K23, are they handled the same as any other PLE? Just think it would be awesome if for SS you could pick a team to represent your brand against a competing brand with a big ratings or money boost on the line, and similarly for Royal Rumble, if there even is a Rumble match, selecting an even amount of participants per brand and hoping one of your guys wins.
Reduced budget, so even smaller rosters? Looks like another year of skipping this mode. It's so disappointing because this is a mode I want to love, but I want the freedom of a real WWE company where I can have some midcarders who don't appear every single week, etc, etc. These 12 person rosters are shit. I get bored of the matches by like Month 3.
I only have 1 and a half complaints about the new GM mode: starting with the half complaint... it's a half because I'm happy that they put in the option to class change, but I wish they got rid of the class system all together like I want undertaker to fight Kane without risking my entire show quality for it...
Full complaint (which isn't a complaint more just a "it would be cool") but I wish you could buy sell and trade power cards between brands like if I'm in desperate need of a vibration negotiating power card but it's not popping up for me I should be able to buy one from someone who isn't using theirs
I'm happy to see at least one of the modes actually gets an update. But yet again, it's just meh
I'm stoked to see we can change classes. That's been my biggest complaint about the mode. Makes it almost unplayable. And I love the XP thing. Trades are a nice touch.
But I'm disappointed that it's still missing a full calendar. No rumble, war games etc. These are the match types that make the wwe season special. So, not including them just kills fun and realism.
It's great we can do tag team call outs. But there's no faction roster. So again. It's just bland. And I'd love stat tracking. I'd love to look at mine and other brands and see how long their champ has been holding the title. Which superstar has the most wins, etc,
I understand these take time. But when the company refuses to update Unicerse model, than you damn well better wow me else where. And this just isn't a wow! Upgrade

I buy these games for universe & GM mode. Really disappointed with the minor updates. All my excitement for this game is gone.
I don't know why people care about my gm mode I'm sorry but I play WWE games since 2006 and I tried many times to play my gm but I don't find it fun at all 😔
I like some of the changes some has not been back in the games some have been added for the 1st time ask the fans what they want who is the original developer for svr 2006 and 2007 and 2008 these are the 3 games of gm mode you need to look back at FANS were verrrry happy with these games the only issue with all 3 games is the fans want to see more now that the landscape is changing if you change the way of gm mode too much means people will not buy the product

Damn we're gonna need a lot of cash on my gm to sign talents hereafter.even for searching a certain superstar it costs a lot of money and to sign that talent even for 5weeks it costs about 120k . It seems like Gm mode is gonna be very difficult in wwe 2k24 .
Big question I've had. Do you think we will be able to import out characters from 23 so we don't have to recreate them
I like the changes they made to GM mode. It is definitively a move into the right direction. I hopw they continue working on it. Well done! I'll be definitely buying the game this year!

How do you create a Giant in CAW for the GM mode?
I have the Giant and several others come up in other categories. Is it related to skill levels?
The only thing I wish they would add is 5-6 man matches. Being able to book an elimination chamber would be cool.
I think the class change thing is pretty big. The class system felt pretty limiting and I almost never used anyone aside from brawlers and fighters because of it

I honestly can't wait I only played my gm for a few weeks on wwe2k23 but now this looks really cool and I will definitely play it more now after all the new stuff and I'm going to be my own manager and make it even harder so I can get really into it.
I would love to be able to use custom shows in mgm. In 2k23 I basically had to do my own my gm using universe mode in order to use my custom shows.

Im finally playing some gm mode on 2k23 and its fun when yiu have the ai book and u change some things and play the main event
man there is no excuse to not have an online mode for 2k25 for MyGM next year. Can't believe they didn't add it in this year tbh.
MyGM is what keeps me playing these games. I am glad they are adding more to it, especially the tag team call out promos. I hope next time they have the competitive matches between brands like Elimination Chamber, Royale Rumble, Survivor Series, etc., and also have an option for a full year of MyGM with all PLE for 12 months instead of 25 weeks.
I ordered the standard edition so I can unlock the content over time like older games such as the Mortal Kombat games.
U can keep playing until u decide to retire in GM mode .

I hate when they make it seem like there listening. They listen to the lil things and if they listen to anything major, it takes a few games to do so. What about the big things like superstarts not gett8ng up immediately after a move or the better universe mode
Lower budget whattt and the superstar asking price to sign is still the same not even lowered like thats been a major issue imo with the game at least increase the budget so i can have at least more than 2 or 3 big names on my show. Smackdown, raw and nxt have so many main event talent now that its lame in a mode where its supposed to be like that its not like 3 and half million how are you even a manager like most people in those positions have alot more to work with thats just me though still look forward to it and the game

why are the rosters so small when you first start out? like having 2 randoms superstars as tag teams champs and they have to fight the same people every week. makes no sense to me
