I do hope we get a video on the fly off with her other bird. I would love to see how you got her back. It would be such a good example of why using professional trainers, like you guys, is so important. I personally wouldn't fly with anyone else. Hoping I can join your free flight training program this year. Saving up my money for it now.

Ok, who is the kitty near the batting cage? We have several in this area. Great Video! I wish my cockatiel was this responsive, he purposely refuses when he realizes we are training. He is coming up on 2 years old. Won't be able to fly outside like these beauties. You have made so many birds lives better. Can't tell you how important your feeding system and videos are, please know BirdTricks makes a huge difference to many birds and their humans.

I want a macaw and this is a good time in my life to have one. I recently got a budgie and have been working with it. I'm going to polish my skills with my budgie then work on getting a macaw.

That's awesome, I have a conure and It was really hard to train him, but all you have to do is trust in your bird and the time you spend with him/her.
20 seconds into watching this video I saw Jen fall on her butt ready to catch her bird and laughed. This is going to be a GOOD one.

I seem to be stuck at similar stage with my 1 year old green cheek conure in terms of training where I call her and she just flies straight past me. It's super annoying but I'm sure I'll work through it eventually. Also, your macaw is beautiful! You did an amazing job with her!

So exciting! Can’t wait to see more. Bubbalicious is still missing feathers but he continues to choose more complicated maneuvers including a flight down the stairs through the doorways and landing on my head. Sometimes slow and letting the bird chose his pace is worth waiting for. Love baby birds. They are so precious!

Tegan is so beautiful!!! I was also wondering if you have any tips to get my budgie to eat his veggies. I have tried mixing his favorite seeds (millet, which is all he eats because he is stubborn) into a chopped mix of carrots, kale, apple, strawberry, banana, and sprouts but he just picks it out. He stayed overnight at the vet once and they said he really liked the strawberries they gave him but he now refuses them

I don’t seem to get her to step on my hand or trust me at all.
Been trying for 2 months with little to no progress, what should I do?
Try using millet to lure her onto your hand, and did you let her settle in? Letting a bird "settle in" teaches them their cage is a safe place and it will be a lot harder to gain their trust.

Nice video, but it's just a lot easier in the desert, I can say that this is half a free flight .. because you are the only stand in the distance. where I live, free flight is much harder to learn because the surroundings are full of trees and other things that easily distract
i just got a budge her name is meadow she comes out of her cage on a daily basis and i got her on the 15th of march from a pet store and we have a bird gym for her and i let her play on it and she loves it do you have any suggestions on what i need to do this is my first time owning a bird and i did a lot of researcher before i got her and i am 12 and i really want her to be happy and you seem pretty educated on it pleas let me know

I have this big pack of unsalted nuts from Costco. They have cashews, almonds, pistachios, and pecans. It says they are roasted in peanut oil. I can’t find anything online saying if they are safe or not. Are they safe to feed birds? I am getting a Indian Ringneck and kind of preparing and just wanted to know if they were safe or not.
