We don't have pumpkin Pie here but the soap reminded me of Banana Bread. Understand about the cooking and Children leaving home, but the upside is that you will start cooking heaps again when the Grand Children start. They love Nana's cooking. Thank you for explaining about the dripping down the side of the container, I have not done piping yet but i love that I learn something new every time I watch.
What a beautiful pumpkin colour on the unmolding then the last photo of it turning a dark brown wow, it does look good enough to eat, I'm going to have a go at growing my own pumpkin next year, I love it roasted in the oven yum 😋🎃🧡
Autumn is the best and I believe all of us living on “hot” weather climate appreciated the most, can wait for Fall anymore! We had another heat advisory yesterday!!! Anyhow beautiful, beautiful. I kinda like that they dollops flatten, looking like when you add cream or ice cream to a hot pie( I like my dessert hot ) weird I know, 😂

Also I blame you for the weight I'm about to gain, because I got a wicked craving for pumpkin pie. So I made one this afternoon, and I've already eaten two blissful slices.
If NG Pumpkin Cheesecake smells anything like Studio Fragrance own it is amazing! Loved how the soaps turned out. Imma go smell that fragrance now. ❤🤍🖤🇹🇹
Just today:"womens weekly(magazine) had a recipe for a pumpkin pie cheesecake a few years ago. I only know because my sister in-law-from my 2nd husbsnd cut it out and lassed it along to me!😉😘its even better thsn it sounds!😁😘👏👏💖 oh! And a chocolate chip, mint and oreo cookie crust...plus a few other..yes, i made myself sick our 1st Christmas after by msking almost one of every recipe. And then * licking the bowls!*
Loved it. The color change came out great. I agree the before discoloration looks just like a good sweet potato 🍠 pie. 😋 yum it’s almost holiday season. Which means good smells good food, football (go Tampa bay) and Hallmark holiday movies. Yessss 🙌🏽 I can’t wait!!!
This soap looks like a delicious dessert to satisfy many sweet tooths! This is something I would definitely use in the shower as I love the hair & skin benefits of pumpkin and I love the Autumn season! Good job on this one!
Is there an episode where you explain “water discounting” -what it means and how you know how much milk and lye you use? Loving your videos and the way you explain! I’m trying to learn! 😀
Fall time is also my favorite and I enjoy foraging or growing my own soap additives. I have white pumpkin for this year and watching you gave me some wonderful ideas I will adopt. Fall time is like another spring where every bar of soap becomes a new flower. Wonderful job Ellen! :)
Hi Ellen, this looks beautiful, I'm so jealous of your piping skill, I wish mine can come out looking like that. I'm sure it smells wonderful too. Have a great day
Does look like Pumpkin Pie. I have the same issues with baking. Love it all but with just 2 of us, it would be too much. Kids not close by. 😕 Cheers 💕👍💕
Do you always add kaolin clay and collide oats to your soap making? Why and what does it do? Thanks in advance Love your tutorials! Could watch it all day
Great question! I do add them to most of my soaps, reason being that I simply love how they feel in the finished lather. I do leave out the oats sometimes if I'm needing a crisp color with no specks... And I have a friend with oat allergies, so I try to make some oat free for her occasionally...
Love this soap Ellen. What was the percentage of vanillin in your fragrance oil? I plan to make a batch of soap tomorrow with a scent called “Sweet pumpkin spice”. It is 11% vanillin. I am prepared with a vanilla stabilizer. I’m wondering if you’ve ever worked with the stabilizer before. Google search tells me that it doesn’t always work and it doesn’t always last long in the soap bar. I just don’t want a brown bar of soap, I want pumpkin pie color. My plan is to add some turmeric and a half portion of adobe orange mica. I am going to say a prayer before I make this batch of soap. I need all the help I can get with how it turns out. Also, do I have to worry about the addition of a half a teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice speeding up the trace? Im going to be ready for an accelerated trace, and like you, I’m not going to do a swirl so it should work out. Thank you Ellen. Love your videos 😊❤
11% vanillin will be a dark brown. I've only worked with a stabilizer a few times and found it didn't help as much as I had hoped... I've learned not to fight the vanillin and just plan around it.
Looks delish! I am just learning & was wondering if the oil you mixed the mica with part of the oil amount of your formulation or is it a small enough amount to not be included in your batch amounts used in the soap calculator If that makes sense.
Unless I'm eating it,I'm not too focussed on"organic" or not. If I'm that concerned, I'll just grow it myself. Then i have zero questions as to validity of clsims etc...

I talk about it in several videos, here's a recent one where I discuss it: th-cam.com/video/yf-zzbXY60c/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for sharing this wonderful soap! It reminds me of my pumpkin spice soap!
🥧💕

I grew my own pumpkins this year they turned out sooo amazing just like this soap!🎃

Oh yes, I love fall! This soap smells good just thinking about it lol, and it turned out great, white frosting would even be nice too 😋 😅.
Thanks so much! 😊

I don't think I can trust myself with this soap..I might forget it's soap and try to eat it😊😊

I am just learning & was wondering if the oil you mixed the mica with part of the oil amount of your formulation or is it a small enough amount to not be included in your batch amounts used in the soap calculator If that makes sense.
I’ve done it both ways.. the extra oil is such a small amount, it just boosts the super fat a bit..
Is the Tumeric ethically sourced?
yes
Beautiful soap! I can just imagine how luxurious this feels on the skin! By the way, how much fragrance oil do you usually use in your soap?
Thanks! I use the max recommended volume for each F.O. in soap.
Are you adding anything(vitamin E oil?)As a preservative with all that fruit in there?
No, the volume of puree is preserved by the lye.
Just wondering if the color changed even more after this video was filmed.
It did darken up a bit more.
@@EllenRuthSoap - It looks great!!!! Although I'm still fighting autumn...;)
How you made the citrus shape, that was a mold?
This is the citrus mold I use: amzn.to/47e0pGb
@@EllenRuthSoap thank you 😊

Good point. Some day I hope to grow my own pumpkins and make my own puree.
