由橫琴粵澳深度合作區城市規劃和建設局主辦、澳門特別行政區政府市政署協辦，廣州市嘉卉園林綠化建築工程有限公司承辦的“蓮彩聚琴澳”第二屆橫琴荷花節於2024年6月14日至23日在中國廣東省珠海市橫琴粵澳深度合作區荷花園舉行。
本片拍攝的荷花名為"秋牡丹"，是中國武漢植物園從野生荷花培育出來的新品種，開花期可從春季延伸至秋季長達11個月，重瓣大型花朵形似牡丹，花色黃白中帶綠，故名秋牡丹。
本屆橫琴荷花節主題為“樂享荷香”，旨在憑“香”喻意，延續琴澳兩地一衣帶水的歷史脈絡，讓市民大眾深入體驗橫琴自然生態的無窮魅力，並藉此推廣中國傳統文化與非遺元素之美。
在佔地約4.5萬平方米的荷花園內，大/規模展示着，打造如“鏡湖三百里，菡萏發荷花”的弘大75個荷花品種場景。荷花節特意選取“神州美·粵”、“神州美·澳”兩大品種作為主題花，展現神州大地上的粵澳款款情深。
同時，在以中國革命進程為序的“中國紅”系列荷花中，精心挑選北京、瑞金、韶山、西柏坡、嘉興、井岡山、延安等7個“中國紅”品種，宣揚中國紅色文化，讓市民遊客在賞荷遊覽中緬懷崢嶸歲月。
本屆橫琴荷花節圍繞自然生態、琴澳特色、民情風俗等豐盛多彩的內容，推出16組荷風打卡景組、11個科普攤位、10場研學活動及34場科普導賞，營造共遊、共創、共學、共樂的熱烈氛圍。

蓮或荷花，自古受中國人所喜愛。宋代學者周敦頤有散文《愛蓮說》稱頌蓮為"出污泥而不染"，像徵着君子和廉潔的品質，使蓮花成為中華文化重要傳承像徵之一。
蓮（學名：Nelumbo nucifera)是蓮科蓮屬多年生草本出水植物，又稱荷、荷花、蓮花，古稱芙蓉、菡萏、芙蕖，是多年生草本花卉。蓮花原產於中國，在水中生活，通常被種植於池塘之中。花一般盛開於夏季，蓮花也因而成為夏日之風物。
荷花的根莖種植在池塘或河流底部的淤泥上，而荷葉挺出水面。故說蓮花是出淤泥而不染。在伸出水面幾厘米的花莖上長着花朵單朵，少數花莖上長著雙朵或更多。蓮花一般長到150厘米高，橫向擴展到3米。蓮葉最大可達直徑60厘米。引人注目的蓮花最大直徑可達20厘米。蓮花有超過800個栽培品種，花色從雪白，黃色到淡紅色及深黃色和深紅色，其外還有分灑錦等等的花色。
