The literal translation of the Chinese name of irresistible force is "force like wind and thurder", implying Xiao and Bosacious. As the special remix version for Yakshas‘ story, it describes the struggle by adding Chinese instruments. A brilliant work.
why is no one praising seething animosity , this song is easily one of the best ones in the entire game. You can just feel the vibes of "there is no saving this place but still we have to fight" from it which just made the latest dain quest even more of a masterpiece
Seething Animosity is underrated and it’s godlike. Tbh, I got tired of hearing Tremor Of Menace over and over but after getting deeper into The Chasm and finally hearing Seething Animosity I was so relieved. I will say, I like Irresistible Force so much more than Tremor Of Menace, the added Instruments and the Erhu give it so much more oomph.
20:37 is the best soundtrack that i’ve ever heard in Genshin. The serotonin when you first stepped inside the crystal cave and fought the abyss mages I will never forget
I love the fact that each track of these has an exploration and a battle variant, so the music has a perfect transition between the two. The same music is calm and when an enemy shows up it becomes more intense, and when you beat the enemy it's calm again.
I love what they did with that! I hope they keep doing it for every other region. The transitions are so smooth it actually brings me chills. It makes the game way more immersive
i hope not. the transitions are an excelent solution for small places with so many areas like the underground mines. but, for overworld this can be boring and monotonous (specially because the overworld themes have patterns). Also, this brings more exclusivity for the underground mines of the chasm
One game that mastered this technique is Nier Automata, which has multiple layers of dynamic tracks for the same theme. The dynamic change not only happen between area/combat transition but also at key plot points. Genshin managed well this time but not yet at the same level. Next I hope to see Hoyoverse integrate dynamic music into their quests too.
Absolutely love Irresistible Force. The addition of traditional Chinese instruments gives the original version the unique Liyue flavor that ties closely to the 2.7 Archon Quest. The sense of dread and despair when you're battling deep beneath the surface with no way out is accurately captured by the melody and it recreates what it was like when the Milleliths, Bo Yang, and Bosacius fought against the flood of monsters, knowing their fates were sealed to begin with. Interestingly, I hear 5 Chinese instruments (Gu Zheng, Xiao, Di Zi, Pi Pa, Er Hu) being used in this arrangement, and I wonder if they correspond to the five Yakshas. Notice how harmonious the five instruments work together? ;)
It's very amazing on how you could tell the names of different instruments when some sounds the same as the other (at least in my ears). I like reading comments like this 👍
Wow really?? I thought there were 3 Chinese instrument (Guzheng, Xiao and Erhu) and 2 Japanese instruments ( Shakuhachi and Taiko) to represent the 5 characters we meet in the quest. It’s really awesome! Thanks for the info ^^
"Inevitable Conflict" exemplifies why I love video game music. Not only does it have impeccable composition, but it tells a full story using instruments alone. All of this is my interpretation, but I imagine it as telling the story of Khaenriah. It starts out with the growing tension between Khaenriah and Celestia knowing that they have gone against the gods, and that they know the Inevitable Conflict is coming. It almost sounds as if they are pleading for forgiveness, or maybe just trying to reason with them. This builds and builds until the bone chilling climax, which I think is the dropping of Celestial Nail(s) or perhaps the start of the cataclysm. After that is the distress and panic coming from the Khaenriah'n people, who are now either dying, or being turned into monsters. We get the rage and sorrow of the destroyed kingdom, then as the tracks descends into what sounds like despair, there are a couple hints of hope. I don't know what it's referring to, maybe Dain, maybe the twin? Not sure. But this small glimmer of hope carries us to the end of the song, which ends on a mysterious almost lingering note, indicating there is more to the story yet to come. That's my guess at least. But even if I'm totally wrong, Hoyomix's ability to craft music is simply unparalleled.

Irresistible Force is so emotional. It's the true Chasm theme since it tells the story of the ancient Battle, the bravery and resistance, and the pain and death. It's the only battle theme I cry to.
Inevitable Conflict is a solid conclusive soundtrack for the exploration, fits very well. Personally the Irresistible Force (remix from 2.6 - Tremor of Menace) needs to be used for the Ruin Serpent. Glad to see this soundtrack collection out! Fell in love with the Chasm's dynamic/ adaptive soundtrack, it's a treat to hear switch seamlessly in-game! Thank you Hoyo-Mix!
Idk why but so many people say that Irresistible Force is a combination of liyue and inazuma Actually there isn't any inazuma element in it, all of the five instruments are traditional Chinese instruments
They say that bcz the only "ancient civilization" related they heard is in "inazuma", but is on enkanomiya That's at least what i get from most people, i make them clarify from where on inazuma and they say enka
cause they're similar, and Inazuma music is traditional instrument heavy, and Japanese culture is more popular worldwide, so whenever people hear traditional Asian music they think of Japanese instruments. Besides, most Japanese instruments originated from China, so of course they're easily mixed up.
I think Battles of the Chasm is underrated for just one track for each location but as always, Every each track are pure Masterpieces. Seething Animosity 8:25 gives me chills everytime i hear it. Impending Danger 16:32 gives me Final Fantasy X flashbacks, again.
Inevitable Conflict really feel like you cannot predict what will come on melody music just like chasm everything in there is unpredictable, i really like Yu Peng Chen and Hoyo mix GOOD JOB
It's crazy that Nintendo all but deleted music in BotW for an "atmospheric feel" (big mistake, but I guess they wanted to experiment) and here comes Hoyo with one of the best video game soundtracks of all time
When you start a fight and "Decayed in the Darkness" fades into "Seething Animosity" that's a bit of melancholy from Khaenri'ah and Dainsleif's tragic past.
Track 3 is just my favourite. I still remember the first time I was progressing the underground story line well into wee hours like 3-4 am and I just couldn't stop at all. Not only it will transition from normal back ground music to intensified in combat music. It gives you this sense of urgency to push on further, yet at the same time, it gives you this feeling of a great lost, knowing something really bad had happened here and could never be revert to normal.
alot of ppl love inevitable conflict since it has strong use of classical techniques and make it feels like an piano concerto and I'm fan of it. I wish more ost can be done based on classical music in the future.
I love that they added SIX fully fledged battle themes in the chasm and all of them sound absolutely amazing. And even more amazing, some of them are dynamic with the non-battle theme of some regions.
All this are just masterpieces mainly "Inevitable Conflict" as many had said but what I mainly love about The Chasm is how seemingless the battlemusic and the overworld/main chasm theme just blends in perfectly
I will never forget fighting the Ruin Serpent at the end of the quest, with Inevitable Conflict playing in the back. An amazing fight with an equally amazing theme to go with it.
this is why we need more world levels. Or at least bring out the lv 90 and lv 100+ enemies from the abyss into the overworld. I dont think fights last more than 10 seconds for me now and I miss these bangers.
dizi for yanfei, guzheng for yelan, some argue that it's the shamisen instead of pipa to represent shinobu, and taiko for itto, and finally, xiao for xiao (of course) and erhu for zhongli, as it was in Azhdaha's battle music.
@@yuanbintang2014 oh I thought it used the 5 Chinese instruments to represent the 5 yakshas (which are also presented by the characters in the perilous trail quest)
@@chinesefood7350 Well, 3 of the yakshas died way earlier before the battle of the Chasm 500 years ago, so I don't think the instruments are a direct representation, but HYV actually arranged the party to match the elements of the yakshas so I guess you could say they represent the yakshas in a way.
The chasm gotta be one of my favourite areas in the game not only for it Exploration and lore, but mainly it music! Such genius idea to give transitions between battles and explorations themes. My favorite one is probably "Inevitable Conflict" especially at 23:15 !

In my opinion they need to do better for their next concert, mainly because some of the tracks were done quite weirdly and too different from the originals. Also where were all of these masterpieces? Others: All-Conquering Tide Never-Ending Performance (This one exists, done weirdly) Ariel's Footprints Liyue: Tales From the Snow Mountain Gallant Challenge (This one exists, done weirdly) The Realm Within Mondstadt: Forsken Child of Ancient Times Symphony of Boreal Wind Caelestinum Finale Termini (This one exists, not so great) A Tale of Two Dragons
8:25 When this song played during the archon quest at the moment that Dainsleaf was confronting the abyss herald it gave me chills, man. I feel like at this moment you can really tell that the abyss order is also fighting for what they believe to be right, however twisted their methods to achieve that may be.

Glad to see this soundtrack collection out! Fell in love with the Chasm's dynamic/ adaptive soundtrack, it's a treat to hear switch seamlessly in-game! Thank you Hoyo-Mix!
Idk why but so many people say that Irresistible Force is a combination of liyue and inazuma
Actually there isn't any inazuma element in it, all of the five instruments are traditional Chinese instruments
But I like hearing the sound of a drum called taiko.
@@mossfoxic28 it's Chinese drum. The rhythm and style is different from Taiko.
They say that bcz the only "ancient civilization" related they heard is in "inazuma", but is on enkanomiya
That's at least what i get from most people, i make them clarify from where on inazuma and they say enka
cause they're similar, and Inazuma music is traditional instrument heavy, and Japanese culture is more popular worldwide, so whenever people hear traditional Asian music they think of Japanese instruments. Besides, most Japanese instruments originated from China, so of course they're easily mixed up.
Favorites being the first and last ones what an absolute amazing OST.
Frr
I think Battles of the Chasm is underrated for just one track for each location but as always, Every each track are pure Masterpieces.
Seething Animosity 8:25 gives me chills everytime i hear it.
Impending Danger 16:32 gives me Final Fantasy X flashbacks, again.
Inevitable Conflict really feel like you cannot predict what will come on melody music just like chasm everything in there is unpredictable, i really like Yu Peng Chen and Hoyo mix GOOD JOB
YESSSS
irresistible force gives me chills 🥶🥶awesome soundtrack
That moment when an f2p game delivers more banger soundtrack than the AAA games I played.
isnt hoyoverse a triple A company? at least in china i think
It's crazy that Nintendo all but deleted music in BotW for an "atmospheric feel" (big mistake, but I guess they wanted to experiment) and here comes Hoyo with one of the best video game soundtracks of all time
Well... genshin impact is a AAA game now lol
I never disappointed with genshin music
edit : I freakin love with the mix damnnnn

most of these tracks blend in with out of combat music bg
i like the transitions, looks cool
@Titik Koma ew
inevitable conflict is quite calming for a battle music
When you start a fight and "Decayed in the Darkness" fades into "Seething Animosity" that's a bit of melancholy from Khaenri'ah and Dainsleif's tragic past.
Even after updates of the new underground desert area, The Chasm is still my favorite place, the atmosphere and the music give me chills down my spine
Track 3 is just my favourite. I still remember the first time I was progressing the underground story line well into wee hours like 3-4 am and I just couldn't stop at all. Not only it will transition from normal back ground music to intensified in combat music. It gives you this sense of urgency to push on further, yet at the same time, it gives you this feeling of a great lost, knowing something really bad had happened here and could never be revert to normal.
the last one (inevitable conflict) is my personal fave! its so dope😁
03:12 Irresistible Force with a insane awaken
Impending danger and inevitable conflict are definitely my all time favourite!
alot of ppl love inevitable conflict since it has strong use of classical techniques and make it feels like an piano concerto and I'm fan of it. I wish more ost can be done based on classical music in the future.
what a timing.. i was reading while listening to genshin musics and this came💖
I love that they added SIX fully fledged battle themes in the chasm and all of them sound absolutely amazing.
Man I wish God has gifted me with such talent Yu PengChen has.... his compositions moves the very soul!
this is why we need more world levels. Or at least bring out the lv 90 and lv 100+ enemies from the abyss into the overworld. I dont think fights last more than 10 seconds for me now and I miss these bangers.
Seething Animosity has a really good tragic battle theme feeling
"Seething Animosity" is my favorite
Sounds like stormterror's theme
Mine too ❤️
same
Genshin's music just gets better and better with each new region, the music team never lets us down
dizi for yanfei, guzheng for yelan, some argue that it's the shamisen instead of pipa to represent shinobu, and taiko for itto, and finally, xiao for xiao (of course) and erhu for zhongli, as it was in Azhdaha's battle music.
@@yuanbintang2014 they're wrong. It's the pipa
Irresistible force is soooo good omg
The chasm gotta be one of my favourite areas in the game not only for it Exploration and lore, but mainly it music!
Such genius idea to give transitions between battles and explorations themes. My favorite one is probably "Inevitable Conflict" especially at 23:15 !
Irresistible Force, Seething Animosity and Inevitable conflict, mainly those two when they transition, i just get chills, chiiiillls
Simply amazing
This is the type of music that make people go "Wtf this came from a mobile game?!"
Dear hoyoverse i admire your work but im sad some people never will get to play the full game as for health problems im one of them but i would like to thank you for what you have done its sad i'll never get to see the ending to anyone out there i hope you appreciate the game more and value life as it is i hope oneday you will finish the game in my name yes?
Salute for the soon-to-be fallen!

Las tres piezas maestras de este álbum en mi opinión.
inevitable conflict and tremor of menace never fail to give me chills. I absolutely love all of genshin OST though. can't stop listening to it daily
take a moment to appreciate tremor of menace, so simple yet so elegant. They should have still used irresistible force for the serpent though.
I'm addicted to HoYo-MiX music 😍.
I love all of the battle themes tbh, they all sound absolutely wonderful.
22:26 woah! that woke me up much for a second. In love with both this tracks.
Last song is my most favorite this time. Love all songs related with abyss theme like Enkanomiya OST.
Love the dynamic soundtrack in Chasm.
Seething animosity has to be my favorite one.
I really love how i can feel the wind around me when in listening to irresistable force. It makes me feel like standibg in a empty field with the wind blowing my way.
These music make me feel like I’m in an escapable place…the chasm… surrounded by walls, fighting against the dumb fatui
the fact that fatui means stupid in latin lmao
@@kokofishmain_ wtf xD
Genshin Impact's music legendary.
genshin music never misses
Plz add the fantastic work in the next concert Mihoyo 🙏
Agreeee 🙏🏻♥🎵
In my opinion they need to do better for their next concert, mainly because some of the tracks were done quite weirdly and too different from the originals. Also where were all of these masterpieces?
Others:
All-Conquering Tide
Never-Ending Performance (This one exists, done weirdly)
Ariel's Footprints
Liyue:
Tales From the Snow Mountain
Gallant Challenge (This one exists, done weirdly)
The Realm Within
Mondstadt:
Forsken Child of Ancient Times
Symphony of Boreal Wind
Caelestinum Finale Termini (This one exists, not so great)
A Tale of Two Dragons
Chasm was such a great content. Everything about it surprised me.
10/10. best region in genshin. the architecture, sound designs, and item/mobs placements are top notch. my fav region so far, very satisfying.
8:25 When this song played during the archon quest at the moment that Dainsleaf was confronting the abyss herald it gave me chills, man. I feel like at this moment you can really tell that the abyss order is also fighting for what they believe to be right, however twisted their methods to achieve that may be.
Seething Animosity is my most fave battle theme in Genshin ever so far, and the Chasm's my most fave area ever as of this time too. Whenever this one starts I sometimes don't defeat the enemy immediately just so that I can hear the music longer, hehe 😊
been waiting for these tracks. thank heavens for bringing yu peng chen to earth. bless him, what a composer
inevitable conflict gave me feelings of incredible elegance.
It reminds me maybe one of the greatest musical masterpiece I have ever heard : la signora battle music ( chrisallis suspirii & saltatio favillae ) dispite the huge difference of style between them
Irresistable force and Inevitable conflict are just incredible, so epic and melancholic at the same time, god
So close to hearing Sumeru’s battle themes and I’m all for it!
É impressionante o quanto esta empresa tem investido na sonoplastia e trilha sonora desse game! Parabéns!!!
omg this is perfect my exams just finished now i can listen to these stunning soundtracks!
Cant wait seein this orchestra...
Oh my god the piano and violin at the last track went nuts!
Everything in the last track went nuts
Gave Yoko Shimomura vibes

Dont mind me I just noted something

Am i the only who loves Seething Animosity
No ur not
Nope,I've been scrolling through the comments here and there are tons of others who love the soundtrack, me being one of the,
Nah, Seething Animosity is godlike. Tbh, I got tired of hearing Tremor Of Menace over and over but after getting deeper into The Chasm and finally hearing Seething Animosity I was so relieved. I will say, I like Irresistible Force so much more than Tremor Of Menace, the added Japanese Instruments and the Erhu give it so much more oomph.
@@raemonn15 there aren't japanese instruments in any of these songs 🤨
XD
Nah u not alone bro
16:32 is so underrated, gives FF vibes
i'm so glad the special event music made it into the album! it's such a cool variation of the main battle theme
It's not the event music, it's from the Interlude Chapter Act 2, no?
These songs are truly beautiful! I love this game and it's music! Couldn't love any less
Inevitable Conflict currently the best track in the whole game change my mind
The last track is such a mix of Inazuma, Enkanomiya and Liyue all together, but filled with sorrow and sadness. It's like point of no return, but Morax did it for some reason
