    FAQs??
-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How much yarn do I need?
Unfortunately, I will not be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.
    -What equipment do you use?
    Camera: amzn.to/2jkNDl2
    Tripod: amzn.to/2w4ReK8
    Ring Light: amzn.to/2w4vrC7

Brilliant video, such clear instructions. I managed to make this using 1 100g Ball of King Cole's Sprite double knitting as couldn't get hold of the yarn you used, it gave much the same effect but without the sparkle. I am fairly knew to crochet so really pleased I was able to make something that looks that impressive. Thanks for your help with this, looking forward to trying something else from your videos!

Wish I could add a photo to my comment. I used your wonderful tutorial to make this shawl for a wonderful friend and edged it with a border by stitchdiva.
I finished shawl with the dc, ch1 row.
Placed a row of dc across shawl tip to tip. Working from tip to point and back up to the other tip, her edging was-
In 1st dc do a dtc, picot and then chain 1. Do this repeat across all fans. ONLY between fans, last dtc of one and first of the next, do NOT ch1. So beautiful. Thank you both.

Thanks for this tutorial, nice and easy to follow. Thanks for the extra help tutorial, much appreciated. I even managed to figure out how to read the written chart for when I get confused which stitch to do next on the longer rows. I'm probably an advanced beginner, but luckily I've just finished the lost souls shawl, struggling through that after the tutorials helped me understand how to continue after you stopped this one. I did get confused a few times between uk and us stitches when you say them... being used to watching US ones, even through I'm UK, slight arg moments when I realised half-way through a row. Cheers. :)

Thank you so much, I'm really happy you find my tutorials helpful 😊 The virus shawl can be quite a tricky pattern to master. You should be repeating rows 4-7 to continue the pattern. You might also find it helpful to take a look at the chart of the pattern which shows all the stitches and where they should be worked into; you can find it through the link here: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/virus-shawl--virustuch

When she says double crochet she means a single crochet ryt?

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

This is in UK terms not US terms so a double crochet in the UK is a single crochet in the US :)

Good video except that you would say (US) dbl crochet instead of treble crochet and then you’d say dbl crochet instead I’d (US) single crochet. You kept mixing both of them together. Example in the US we’d say single crochet then the next stitch was a dbl crochet. But you’d say dbl crochet then dbl crochet but actually you’d do a single and then a dbl. I hope that made sense. I kept having to go back to see which one you meant.
