The lume on yours looks better than mine. I completely agree with you on the bracelet. Especially the way the way those links jut out. Pagani actually contacted me, after seeing my review, and have told me they are working to improve all the issues. I'm just waiting to receive pictures, to see whether that includes those links though.

I have been wearing mine for 4 months. It is keeping excellent time -3 seconds a day. Very little back play on the bezel and i think the case is really well finished. I agree with you regarding the bracelet so have replaced it with a different one. I bought it for $100 so i think its very good value for money and the lume is excellent.

As crazy as it sounds, I think I like the design of this watch more than the original for one reason (other than the price). It's that ridiculous helium valve; it's a real turn off for me. However, I would've like a little red on the dial and second hand but at that point, it would a blatant attempt at a copy instead of a homage. Great review!

    • @PerthWAtch
      @PerthWAtch  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Thanks - the second hand does have a red tip actually. I think even without the HEV it’s still a blatant copy of majority of elements :)

Box spin 🏆. I like the watch, the bezel has a nice sound to it despite the back play. That clasp has that definitive snap and extension. The girth of the piece is appealing also. It’s a homage worthy of the price.

I just bought this watch without the bracelet. I love the color. And I bought a brown leather strap with it. So now it looks very cool.

As I have a bit larger arm, I don't mind the L2L, even with the long center link. I do understand your argument changing to the floating center link like the one on my PT time bracelet. BUT, I like this clasp better than the PT, it's short with NO adjustment. Yes, if they fix the finish and bracelet, I think it's very close to that asking price. Some are unhappy but the 2 I have run well, look good, keep good time n make me happy 😊 I hope others find some happiness too. Merry Christmas to you all. Appreciate the review brother as always....I think there's a great watch in there fighting to get out, a few minor adjustments and they'd have a damn near perfect piece....if they either matched or removed the date wheel, sort the end link, the diver extension is irrelevant and could be removed, can't see anyone using it....the price....I don't believe your getting anymore for your money compared to other PD pieces....if they made those adjustments then yes, paying more than there average would still be a bargain....as it is I believe they are cashing in on the JB hype....⌚🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⌚🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Finally got mine....after two months. The the pin in the hinge of the bracelet clasp is bent to shit and opens the clasp slighlty if pulled on a bit, the lume pip in the trinagle is off center like this one, the bezel gets gritty and hard to turn at the 9 o'clock and the 3 o'clock and the brushing on the clasp is terrible, like they did it with an SOS pad or something.
Overall I paid $127 CAD so I'm not too concerned, great little watch.

hey Ivan. how is it going, there? You guys are heading into Summer and we (L.A) are going into Winter here. Pretty cold in the morning. my morning leg heater is out, ha ha. This is second time watching this Pagani model review. I watched Jody's review yesterday. Even though I have an Omega watch (Believe it or not, I have 1969 Omega Moon watch original which is my Heirloom watch in my safety box), I am not really a big fan of the dial design. For me, that hand design does not really ring a bell...Anyway, I think that Pagani took a couple of steps back with this watch.
too much back play on bezel, push pins? and big awkward clasp design, even though it looks very very super solid, and especially the "killer" THE FIRST LINK of the bracelet. That will probably turn off about 90% of potential buyers....
However, Pagani is pretty quick responding to consumer's needs and requests. so they will probably come out with better version in about 6 month of time.
Thanks for the review, Ivan and have a super fantastic day in Perth.

As for this watch, I would the bezel feel is the same as my Sub Hulk homage actually. Push pins however are a bummer indeed when they could do screws for the cheaper Sub. The clasp is awkward in some ways but is also a faithful homage (at least in the shape and length), but I guess the could've done better on Omega's bulky one. Great video. I reviewed the Bliger version on my channel, and whilst the patins is way too pink for my taste, I believe is better finished than the Pagani Design. At least the bezel is great. It came with a Seamaster like bracelet, not the planet ocean model, but the older one, and still, I feel this watch is not fit for any bracelet, so I got it on a nato or a Vostok mesh strap, and it changes completely. I wonder how the Phylida will be like. I might get it and do a side-by-side comparison.

Are the indices white or cream colored? I like this watch. Also I replied to you not long ago that my Orient Ray II kept incredible time new--- then loosened a bit after wearing it, still keeping decent time but not like when it was initially new. Using a Time graph app and checking the watch against Atomic time every day --AND.. against wearing it on my wrist ---I got my Ray II dialed in to 0 to +2 seconds a day. I'm super pumped. I also bought a Ratio II orange dive off of Ebay and have it regulated to -1 to 2+ seconds day (Myota movement). The Ratio doesn't have hacking, but I'm okay with it. I liked the look of their orange dial. I took my time and ever so slightly tapped the +/- hairspring movement adjustment thingy (lol). I apply a VERY thin coat of silicone using a toothpick to the O-ring to prevent distortion and abrasion to the O-ring when closing the caseback. I couldn't be happier with both watches.

The main difference would appear to be branding and how much you're willing to pay for a name.

My collection is 17 deep. Seven of them are Paganis. I just got addicted to their value for money ratio for a while.
Of my seven Paganis...THIS ONE is my favorite. In my opinion, it stands toe to toe with the original and does not lose by all that much at all. The bracelet is garbage. Pagani bracelets are always garbage. That's where they do the majority of their cost cutting and I don't care, because I always replace the bracelet anyway.
Mine sits on a nice, gloss black Ritche NATO with black PVD. It's PERFECT!
***I wrote the above before watching the video. As is always the case with Pagani, they heard everyone screaming about the bezel and fixed that. I bought one that was produced later, and my bezel is perfect.
****aaand then...after updating MY comment, I saw that Pagani had come in and said they fixed the bracelet too. On that, I would not know. I opted for the black nylon/silicon bracelet, which I actually use on a different watch, and put a NATO on my NTTD. So, maybe they fixed that too. I just can't say because I did not buy the steel bracelet.

Thanks for time to share those many details and observations, it is much appreciated!
As you pointed out, I think Pagani used to be quite weak on the fit & QC of their bracelets - these have improved considerable in the last 12-18 months, to the point that many are surprised at hearing the price when they have felt the bracelet in hand. They are truly best in the price point as far as I know.
The bezel fit has also improved, but still feels somewhat loose - I think San Martin is a good comparator at slightly higher price, offering much better bezel feel and fit.

How extremely rude, Ivan's accent is what makes him an individual , national and local accents are what make's everyone different and may it always remain so , I live in NW England I dread to think what you would make of my accent, you probably wouldn't understand I word I was saying. Ivan keep up the good work ,stay safe.
