Honestly didn't realize how much content Seth has made since he started out. I went back and started to re-watch everything and I mean everything after finally getting into mountain biking about a month ago and I am still only about half-way through all the Old Seth's bike hacks. Moreover, me and my friends built 4 singletracks in the woods by ourselves and basic tools and lots of sweat which has jumps, drops and gnarly stuff, all by your inspiration. Thanks a lot.

This looks amazing, I wish we had trails like this around where I live! Also, genuine question, what would have to change for Berm Park to allow e-bikes?
Yeah, it makes no sense, some places are just slow to adapt and too many riders upset about ebikes when it does not effect them. That being said, Seth said on the East coast most public trails do not allow E-Bikes, maybe in the south east, in Pa. most trails are e-bike friendly, public and of course private.
@@lforrest14 to be fair, Kolo, Kanuga and plenty of places with in 20 or so minutes all e-bike friendly. People will have to convince the city that ebikes aren't motorcycles and people won't be ripping around the mountain at 20mph non stop running over everything and everyone they encounter. I feel like that is the main false impression by people who don't have any hands on experience.
@@BryanKeller724 It is absolutely the wrong impression. I have see a full trail system closed to all bikes for Two years due to the resistance some Mountain bikers gave to allowing E-Bikes on the trail. They went to the board meeting, and those against made those same tired arguments of bikes going super fast up hill, destroying trails, going super fast downhill. Counter discussion pointed out the bikes go no faster downhill, and they were wrong about the uphill speed. The board decided to ban all bikes as the riders themselves could not agree on the safety of people. It was weird, an only changed after the older people were finally voted off the board.
Real shame on the eBikes. Plenty of folks out there with chronic medical conditions, long term recovery or pain that can't do manual climbs anymore. eBikes allow them to get back out there without needing a gravity feed park (lift/bus). Also allows them to stay active and get stronger so maybe they won't need the e-assist at some point in their future. Not criticizing you or Berm Peak/Park specifically since it's clearly not your call. Just a frustrating mess trying to find places that do allow it. Please make that extremely clear on any informative pages that exist. Nothing is worse than not seeing them disallowed on official sites. Then driving a couple hours to find it posted that you can't ride.
Your channel inspired me so much i used to bike when i was like 12 now im older i got another hard tail bike and so motivated with your videos ! How i wish i can visit this some day! Canada here!
Bummer about the “No ebikes” bit. 😐 Hopefully that changes soon. I have a disability that has limited my ability to pedal my Amish bike much. But my ebike does let me get out there still.
Fantastic to see the blood, sweat and tears culminate in to what looks like an awesome biking experience, Seth! Well done, and congrats to you and all the supporters that made raising happen.
Being from England its kinda strange to me why ebikes are banned lots of places in the USA I thought it was suppose to be the land of the free do what ever you want, ebikes aren't any faster than normal bikes you can just rider further. When was the last time someone got seriously injured riding up the fire road. They're allowed here everywhere a normal bike is allowed here and I can't recall it ever being an issue ever anywhere. can anyone explain this please
makin' a comment to see if anyone answers this. I have some snarky thoughts on the topic, but also genuinely want to know why all the e-bike hate. Surely its more than just "e-bikes are cheating" bigotry.
In theory e-bikes can sustain higher powers in a way most un-assisted do not, accelerating erosion and perhaps posing a hazard in share spaces. I don't know whether there's any strong evidence either way on the reality of it. The 'rules' are only part of the story anyway, in the UK (and elsewhere) some people ride technically illegal derestricted e-bikes and scooters in public places and go unchallenged. Road-legal e-bikes are limited to 25 kph and 250 W I believe, and the user must always be pedalling to get power. In the UK, electric scooters are only allowed by local by-laws for hire schemes. Many of the 'illegal' bikes and scooters do no harm at all, and they're preferable to more cars, but we clearly need a properly harmonised approach to electric and e-assisted micromobility.
Love my ebike. Makes a 40 minute climb 5 minutes without huffing and puffing at the top before a descent. I feel way safer on the way down because I’m not as fatigued. They’re becoming more accepted in the US. It’s going rather slowly but in many situations where ebikes are not allowed the rule is not enforced.
I was planning a trip to ride there with my family, but no ebikes means no visit and no income for the surrounding community. Hopefully, things will change down there.
E-bikes not allowed? Didn't even know that could be possible... It's like no electric cars allowed on a road...just silly... Are they afraid they'll be faster downhill than the non electric bikes? That seems weird...
Why aren't ebikes allowed? How different are they from other bikes besides they take you up faster on the climbing trail? I don't actually like ebikes that much, thats not why I'm asking, I'm just curious

Your channel inspired me so much i used to bike when i was like 12 now im older i got another hard tail bike and so motivated with your videos ! How i wish i can visit this some day! Canada here!
Why no e bikes? I don’t ride anything but an e bike anymore bc of my arthritis. Guess I’ll go ride somewhere else
This is really great, one day I hope I can come and test this place out
Bummer about the “No ebikes” bit. 😐
Hopefully that changes soon. I have a disability that has limited my ability to pedal my Amish bike much. But my ebike does let me get out there still.
Kanuga, Fire Mtn and all of TN is emtb friendly
@@brandihodges9548 the point is simply that you should be able to ride a class 1 emtb anywhere you can ride any other mtb.
@@BryanKeller724 I agree
Fantastic to see the blood, sweat and tears culminate in to what looks like an awesome biking experience, Seth! Well done, and congrats to you and all the supporters that made raising happen.
Why is everybody so scared about ebikes? they ride the same as a regular one downhill, but help a lot uphill...
sad hearing this.
This is 5 minutes from my house! Thank you so much and see you Saturday!
I feel u bro
Nobody really understands it
Having watched you since your Trek days I can’t believe how far this channel has come.
I was planning a trip to ride there with my family, but no ebikes means no visit and no income for the surrounding community. Hopefully, things will change down there.
Hit Kanuga...an awesome place to ride!! Fire Mtn in Cherokee, NC and all of TN is emtb friendly
thank you so much for featuring my video on your channel! thanks to you Seth, my channel exploded!
Why no ebikes on public park ? wtf
watching it rn at like 7:30 in the moring in Canada hope today is a great opening day rip hard guys
E-bikes not allowed? Didn't even know that could be possible... It's like no electric cars allowed on a road...just silly...
Are they afraid they'll be faster downhill than the non electric bikes? That seems weird...
Congrats. Hope the weather is amazing for opening day. Looks beautiful.
What is it with the US and ebikes not being allowed in a lot of places? So backwards!
Oh and the park looks great, good job Seth! I had a question, are there toilets anywhere for those of us with small bladders?
Awesome effort Seth and team; what a great contribution to the local riding community.
Why is america so obsessed with E-Bikes? Here in Austria i dont know any trails or parks where you cant ride an E-Bike
It's so crazy. We have been watching this for years and it's awesome to see it open! Congrats Seth and team
Why aren't ebikes allowed? How different are they from other bikes besides they take you up faster on the climbing trail?
I don't actually like ebikes that much, thats not why I'm asking, I'm just curious
Congratulations Seth for our new bike park
