Both sound good! Looking at buying a Golf R myself and struggling to decide between the 7 and 7.5. Would you say 7.5s are worth the extra money? I prefer the headlights, sweeping indicators and more aggresive looking styling parts on the 7.5s but heard that the 7 speed DSG box has much quieter DSG farts (if not any) compared to the dsg farts in the 6 speed that the Mk7 have. Not a deal breaker but wanted to know what your experience has been with dsg farts on the 7.5 if any of the cars are dsg?
I say the 7.5 is the best golf R We got a video this week about the 7.5 review But the sound on the golf r is amazing both dsg gearbox and the farts are crazy even stock So it is worth the extra money
I think your talking about the farts on the mk7s or 7.5 that have no opf on them which have the farts and are loud because i dont believe the opf models 2018 and above have loud or 0 to none dsg farts @3PetrolHeads

Great video, just have a question the golf r mk7.5 what year is it smd does it have a opf fitted, ive heard that the opf models or thr 7 speed gearbox models dont have dsg farts or quiter ones compared to the pre opf such as the mk7s as they have a resonator and a 6 speed rather than a 7 so they dsg fart nicer and louder as well as overall is more louder can you please let me know how yours is or tell me how true this is and is there anything that can be done to bring bsck the dsg farts on the mk7.5 with a opf fitted that has a 7 speed
Both cars are 2017 & 2018 models the stock golf r sounds perfect you get dsg farts that are loud and even the tuned golf r without a decat downpipe it’s still loud for a car back exhaust We will post 2 new shorts videos this afternoon about the dsg farts in the tunnel and on the road and you will hear how loud they are 👍
@@3PetrolHeads so the 2017 will definitely not have a opf however you said 2018 if it's late 2018 then it will have a opf but if it's early 2018 then it wont do you know by any chance if it is late 2018 or early 2018 model or if it does have the opf, because some people get confused with a resonator and a opf which the resonator is replaced with a opf on the new models such as late 2018 and onwards however the early 2018 you said it still farts loud and is loud I'm guessing it could be because it doesn't have a opf rather a resonator the only way to really find out would be to look under the car if there's no mid section resonator it means it's a opf model if it does have a mid section resonator it isn't a opf model, thank you for the reply .
