I love the house flip! But I give A LOT of props for the workers who PHYSICALLY build the house. They’re the ones who put the sweat and strength to build the house.
IKR! when they said how hot it was i wanted to see the Flipsters give them some iced cold lemonade, those workers are BAMF, I hope they get paid a fair amount for all their hard labor
They getting paid idiot
@@Angel-wd4qz “i hope they get paid a FAIR amount”
@Judith landa ,they are following the owners (the flippers) DESIGNS, that’s what they’re paid to do & the flippers actually DO some of the work!
Crazy when you think about how much money they waste by doing absolutely nothing on their own
My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article th-cam.com/users/postUgkxibD_L3sDyYENL5CwePCd9plRBqjzw2mw At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is a good stuff.
Early reaction: that's a lot of money for a dump.
location
its gotta be close to what the land value is
@@linkamazarin the ONLY reason it is that high.
We paid a lot for our small house, too. Location! Location! :-)
and they put a tombstone infront of it
Where’s the furniture from? I didn’t quite catch it when you mentioned.
😂nice

That house is at a really high price point to be so small, it must be in a very sought after area.
Yes! It’s a very desirable neighborhood! Thanks for watching!
I've lived in Austin for over twenty years. In addition to being very close to downtown, that area is covered in really trendy boutique shops and eateries. People pay top dollar to live there.
@@davidhennebach9114 I understand! It is definitely for a certain type of buyer because I wouldn't go nuts for house that small at that price point. It's a beautiful house and they've done a magnificent job. But hell and no!Lol!
@@princessbc9791 Agreed. I love the house, but if I had that money, I'd try to get more bang for my buck.
@@davidhennebach9114 Exactly! For 250k or more...my house needs to be pretty big. That price was shocking compared to the size, in my opinion. But, you said people go for that in that area so to each its own!
That house was BAD before. My God I’ve seen some bad ones before but man. Lol
Haha...yes it definitely needed some TLC!
Ik!!!
The inside of the house before the renovation is horrendous
I just don't understand how someone can live with a brown dark livingroom... I'd be depressed in no time. A coat of paint could pry save a life in this situation.
@@RosenlundTara That living room was creepy as hell. If someone invited me in to walk in there, I would think it it was a set up.
Ashley homestore must’ve paid a fortune for all the urbanology mentions
We love making these videos but they take a lot of time. Gotta pay the bills and we only work with brands we like. I think the furniture really turned out great. Thanks for watching!
Yeah this video feels more like an advertisement than an actual property flipping video.
@@AustinFlipsters Great answer. You guys did great.
That was a terrible house! What you did to it was absolutely masterful! Congratulations to you both. I was already a fan, but now I have to add some real respect. My God you guys are REALLY getting good!
Oh my gosh y’all!!! I cannot believe you were able to turn this ugly house into this beautiful home!!! I love it all! One of the things that really stood out to me is the trim work on the top of the cabinets! I am a cabinet freak and it made me so happy to see y’all actually added that small detail. To me that detail just made those cabinets look expensive and custom!
😁♥️♥️
I redid my home for only 600 dollars, took 60 rolls of duct tape. Worked like a dream
You paid $600 for 60 rolls of duct tape?? 🤣
Good one 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just discovered this channel and I'm hooked! I hope you guys consider posting more often. Really giving HGTV a run for their money.
♥️♥️♥️ Thank you Diana!!!
@@AustinFlipsters also just found the channel and love it! I would love to see a timeline on how long it takes y'all to do the flips.
Yes - commercials suck!
New drinking game: Take a shot every time Lauren says "Ashley home store" / by the way, you guys are awesome, keep up the great work!! :)
Stop it Aaron, you're drunk. 😂
I am so glad that you tiled the bathroom it not only looks great but it’s so much easier to clean. I think more bathrooms should be done this way. Overall I think you have done a wonderful job and I hope you get what you ask for it. Take care and stay safe.
Good on you guys on having a visions. I would have knocked the entire thing down and start over from scratch
Yes! It was tempting! Thanks for watching!
I would have torn it down too.
10:57 i like the idea of house number on concrete
Right!? Ok I loved that touch.
I know you are trying to get hipsters interested in your flips but to me this is my favorite because I an handicapped and this would be my dream house. All the open space that a wheelchair or walker can get around easily plus it it all on one level even going outside! I love it!
by FAR my favorite houses y'all have worked on. loved the bits of color and overall style. love the farm house sink. I think the island would've been the perfect color if it was a darker shade. I would like to see more colored tiles in bathrooms. great work!!!
it makes me so sick how expensive Austin has gotten. The neighborhood they are in was historically Latino. The Hipsters ran them out because property taxes got too high. It makes me so incredibly sad that native Austinites can't even afford to live there anymore.
Lot of reasons Austin is getting more expensive. A huge reason is zoning and not allowing for more density.
Tell me about it! I live in Inglewood, CA and because of the new stadium coming things are out of control. smh.
HOw does it make you sick? This is how markets work, the once "nothing out there" is now the booming place to be. One builder or investor started it all. Exactly what wholesalers be saying "help the community". That neighborhood is exactly like here in Dallas smack down where I'm living. You got old ish houses right next to brand new pre-designs and mod homes. Ye improvement values jump bug time with shit homes like the one I'm in. Easily sells for $300,000 tri-plex that was once $90,000 and it started 3 years ago when they tore down one crapped out tri-plex and build a super high end tall guy reviews type duplex right across the street. That's just how the market is my dude. Get em low sell em at the top... on seller finance LOL
we can tell its latino, coz it was a dump
Tay-K It Home that’s rude.
How did that small disgusting house cost that much money when you bought it looking like that? The before was so bad Idk how the people before you guys sold it for that much!
Because it's Austin people are moving here at record # and not alot of available properties so these types of flips are gold
location, location, location
All about the location. Thanks for watching!
speculation
I would love buyers like this in San Antonio I have a problem moving a complete gut for $25,000.00 to 28K they only need 35K for the work at most and the ARV is 95K so I’m confused on why I can’t get it moved yet as a wholesaler to my end buyers
I'm shocked. I thought that you guys goofed when you purchased this property. I thought, "Oh wow, this one is a loser for them!". I was wrong. The interior and furniture complement each other. The tile in the kitchen looks WONDERFUL! Fabulous!
Its not about shade its about having something to stand under when its raining and you wanna smoke geniusses
😂
Lol i was thinking the same thing. May the previous owner like to sit there during rain and enjoy a joint or something.
Hipsters don't smoke dude, that's not cool. They _vape_
Very poor choice of leaving that leaning tree that close to house and foundation. Plus many insurance companies won't insured homes with trees that close.
They lost the tubs. Bad choice again.
Valued today at $813k. I’m a good sleuth, never been to Austin, or Texas but was able to find this house quickly. Values sure went up the last couple of years.
I would love to see the updated floor plan! I own a 1943 house with 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, 1136 sq feet..and we are considering changing the floor plan and adding a bedroom and bath.
Shoutout to the only woman working on this remodel! #MyRespects
The beautiful furniture really did help with the overall presentation. Your regular staging is very spare and I am tired of seeing that ugly glass to p dining set in every reno. I love these results.
😍
Off topic, but I really like that you guys were respectful and blurred peoples faces in the backround. It’s legal to film in public and not do that in most places but I’ve personally always hated the possibility of being filmed without consent so that’s great of you to respect those people’s privacy.
This is my dream. I want so much to make a living flipping houses. It looks like hard work, which I love, and so rewarding.
Go for it! We're working on a course right now for first time flippers...take the survey in the description if you'd be interested.
Austin Flipsters wow. Thankyou
making money flipping houses is almost impossible. Especially when you dont do any of the actual work yourselves. These two are not making a good living from Flipping. Thats why they are trying hard to be a TV show and get in on that youtube renevue. Trust me. flipping houses is super difficult to profit on. Most people underestimate how much renos cost. and paying for trades to come in is very costly. If you can frame, hang drywall, run wires.. install flooring. or tile.. then you can make money by doing a lot of work and building sweat equity. If you just stand there and talk about ashley home furniture while people work to reno.. you will NOT make $70k. lol
@@AustinFlipsters Ya. Of course you are. Because you're trying to make money telling people "how to make money flipping" There is NO way in hell you managed to make a single dollar on this house while doing literally none of the actual labor.
Mitch Thompson it’s actually pretty easy to make money. Especially if you have multiple houses you own and sell. I don’t know why you’re saying it’s basically impossible when that just isn’t the case. Each case is different, but you make the money back and profit when you sell. People usually have Reno budgets when purchasing houses and fit that in when they resell, they still make a profit.
Okay but the driveway leading right up to the front door 😂
This house is sick!!! That bathroom is a dream😍😍
Thanks for watching Kenzy!
This is one of my favorite flips! I LOVE that backsplash 😍
I love the reveal! Although i think what would’ve brought to the look of the kitchen together more would’ve been keeping the finish of the metals the same. For example, the sink and cabinet hardware are gold, the fixture is matte black, and the stove and hood are silver. I think keeping a bit of consistency throughout a home for those small details really help.
thanks for watching!
Agreed
Disagree. That would be boring. Mixed metals is what most professional designers recommend to bring depth and dynamic to the space. How's it possible to make a kitchen all in gold? The appliances never would match if you went with gold hardware. That's an amateur move.
I like it!
Agreed
You guys always have great taste. I love the kitchen backsplash. It must be a lot of fun to renovate a house in such bad shape in a great area.
Thanks so much Heather! Yes this one was fun but long and a little stressful. On to the next!
That house is giving me flashbacks to the 1960s addition on our house, which we remodeled as soon as we could. Paneling, popcorn ceilings, lineoleum and lots of mirror tile stuck to the walls.
Yes! so much paneling. This one definitely needed an update haha
It looks like this place was designed as a food service patio. The double doors open up into the kitchen counter with a large patio and small area for some indoor seating with family living space. A family business most likely? Interesting.
The hallway is bigger than the bedroom🤣🤣🤣
😂Yes!
So much joy to look at you smashing all those walls!!!
I can't wait
It been almost 3 months since last video
I know! Sorry these projects take so long....but we've got more houses in the works right now!
@@AustinFlipsters I'm so excited !!!! Keep up the great work
Thanks!
Dear lord, you just know the before just HAD to have roaches lurking! The after is amazing, great job to you all!
Haha...yes. Our next video is worse on that front! Stay tuned.
The house really lacks windows and natural lighting
Thanks for watching! Not sure about this, the house feels pretty bright inside. The sliding door helps brighten it up.
Austin Flipsters true
in that kind of heat & humidity your prayers are for filtered light & shade! sunlight is very bright and HOT - coupled w/ the humidity its nearly unbearable. really, this level of light is very good (and better for the AC costs)! gotta LOVE those lower ceilings too! ; )
I think you forgot, Texas is HOT
@@AustinFlipsters why have TWO sets of walkout doors and not create a window somewhere? What's your landscaping in the back yard, did you show that?
Love watching y’all. From 2 years ago til now you are awesome 👏
i just spent a semester compiling research about gentrification and something was nagging at me as i started this video, then i saw the houses surrounding the house they're flipping and the new houses being built in the neighborhood and i was like, ".../oh/"
If this bothered you, don't look into East Austin. 👀
helmet hair what did your statistics and research show? Care to share? I remodel in Kansas City and I’m curious.
Whats wrong with improving the neighborhood?
Living area nasty, I would put in a big entertainment unit with beautifully stained wood and pin lighting, and in the center a 60" flat screen wall hanging Sony TV with Bose sound around cinema speakers at either wall ends connected to a CD and DVD cabinet units, on both sides book shelves and under cabinets for games and what not's. For seating 2 plush swivel reclining chairs separated by a table lamp a converting lifting coffee table in the middle and the other side an Ashley queen sized sofa sleeper and the floor a nicely designed room floor area rug. With some Thomas Kinkade paintings on the walls. AWESOME!
They did a great job 👏 what a transformation!
I love the mint green cabinets. Everything looks amazing. I wouldn’t change a thing you did.
All the way from the Philippines 🇵🇭 Long wait is finally over! More videos please ❤❤
♥️ Thanks for watching! We’ve got more projects in the works as we speak!
LOVE the oversized bathroom tiles. So clean, so classy. I would love to see it in any home Id be purchasing.

I love the kitchen that gold touch really makes it more beautiful..
Question: Have you guys studied anything related to design and house flipping or have you learned everything with experience? Great job btw!
Good question.

No answer. The results of their work give the answer. Bless 'em 😃
Yes they have, they actually say something about it in this video 20:25
I binged watched these episodes all last night until I fell asleep. I decided to repeat it tonight. Still, no matter how beautiful the kitchens turn out to be, I just can't even slightly like those brass faucets! I think they're so ugly! I have seen many people who have redone furniture and used these for the knobs...I just can't get on board with it. I'll forever be a brushed nickel gal, I guess! :) However, there is a reason that I can't stop watching your channel. Your work is beautiful and appreciated as we have flipped our house too. It's quite a process, it is!
Thanks for watching and get some sleep! Lol

Your channel was recommended by YT today. I love it and this was a great job.
Awesome! Thank you!
Great renovation!! The island is awesome. Overall it's a great flip.
Drawbacks: I don't like a sink or grill on top of the island.
I use the island as a dining room table so I leave more space between the stove and Island.

you guys deserves more than one million subscribes, great work flipsters
I love the work you guys do, managing to improve houses and communities with your work! A question for you, though - I know things work differently here in Australia to in the USA (like kitchen appliances - if you buy a house, there's never a fridge or microwave left there, though I've seen it in a number of USA based home shows) but I've noticed there's never any glass panelling around the showers to stop water from flooding the bathroom in many videos. Obviously, glass sheets are expensive, and a shower curtain doesn't look as appealing, but is there a reason the showers are left open?
Sometimes it’s to do with clearance, and having a swing open glass door might not work if there’s a toilet or sink/vanity in the way. So often times, they’re left open. Hope that answered your question!
What a transformation! I would’ve given up with the original condition. Well done!

mmmmm gentrification is what you meant when you said “new builds”
@Dee Honey I live off of SOCO. It absolutely is.
@@christianc5170 Yea that dump was real nice culture. sO rACiSt
Oh no! Increasing everyone's property values in the area is RAAAAAACIIISTTTTT. Diversity is good. Non gentrified neighborhoods are not very diverse. They are all black or Hispanic with no diversity.
@@acommentator69 a couple months later, but diversity is good. It’s good when it doesn’t put people out of housing. When some neighborhoods get gentrified, landlords raise rent- meaning if you can afford the rent (weather residential or commercial) you lose housing OR businesses.
While we’re on the topic of diversity in neighborhoods, can we talk about white flight? It seems that people only want diversity in neighborhoods when it benefits white people. When the minority starts to move in, the majority moves out because it “lowers property value”.
Yup! There's a big difference between fixing up houses to create more useable housing and flipping stuff for the gentrification machine. There's money to be made both ways, but one requires a lot more work. For all y'all balking at such a high price for such a crappy home before, that's what gentrification does.
Wow!! One of the best edited videos I've seen yet!!!!

The master bathroom is gorgeous!!! Love the hexagons.
That house is worth $90k max where I live. Over $300k for the before? Wow!
sold for $600k...
you should compare this house to a similar one in australia, a house like that especially in that state and close vicinity to the city would go for over $800,000
This house in Mississippi before hand would have been like $50,000.
All depends on where you live lol less desirable places have lower cost.
I have to ask... why did you not use some mirrors to make the space look larger?... Some of those walls were such great candidates for some nice designer mirrors.
