Thanks for watching! Yeah, for not a lot of weight in the rear and most the weight in the motor and gear mechanism up front it does make it out of balance. So your body has to counter that weight hanging out on the pole. I think most electric saws are like this, I have a gas powered one that is nice with the engine in the back and not much at all up front, the balance is better.
Yeah, the 40 volt has a bit more power and does not overheat the batteries with aggressive use. Also, I find the 40 volt does not stall/jam as much with the extra power. The only advantage the 24 volt has is if you have Greenworks 24v hand tools you will have more batteries to share between your tools.
How Short can You Get this particular Saw??? Could You use it kind of like a regular Chainsaw??? 🤔 Or was what You showed in the beginning as short as it Gets 😊🤷♂️🤔 Plus… Do You Have the Same Problems With The 40V as in… The Top End Heaviness??? The oil leakage is something that I’m yet to find a Chainsaw that has come up with a solution for that Problem 🤷♂️🤣 I’ve owned Lots of Different Brands and they ALL have oil leakage issues!!! Just drain the thing before storing it is The Only thing I’ve found that Works 🤷♂️ Thanks in Advance 👍 Plus… Thanks for the Video ✅
For the length you have long and longer, unfortunately no short handsaw option, that would be a great feature though, but I'm sure it would make the top even more heavy. 40V is exactly the same as the 24 in all physical ways but the battery. The only thing I notice different is the 40 volt can deliver more power to the 40V motor so the 40V stalls out less. Yeah, the only solution to the oiling leaking is to drain it after use.
Brand new, right out the box, 80v 10” pole saw. Oiled and properly tightened, ready to go…WOULD NOT CUT A DAMNED THING. I tried several overhead branches that were no bigger than two of my fingers together: didn’t make hardly a dent. Soft pressure, solid pressure, steady downward pressure…NOTHING. 😡 Finally I tried a downed branch at the edge of my yard, a known dead branch that’s been atop a pile of other leaves and branches for weeks (in dry weather, it’s rained twice here in a month) to watch it carefully…again, not even 1/4 of the way through after three minutes of running. I will NEVER waste money on Greenworks, or battery-powered pole saws again. This is beyond infuriating. The design is awful; oil leaks out the cap, no idea if the oiler is doing its job, the battery’s down to 2/3rd capacity after just a few attempts, it’s incredibly top-heavy even with the battery in place, and the included shoulder strap was cheap and useless as far as how you had to rig it up on the handle. Absolute JUNK. 🤬
I wonder if the chain was on backwards or just defective. I do agree with your comments about leaking oil, a bit top heavy. But my experience with battery life is that I can cut more 1 to 2 inch branches with a 4ah battery then I can clean up in a day and that's good enough for me. For the oil I drain it out when I'm done using it. but even my Husqvarna 351 leaks oil.
@@LetsDoThis321As i was reading this comment i too thought that the chain was on backwards… That’s The Only Reason for a Brand New Chainsaw to be Sooo Slow!!! I once had a Small Engine Shop work on a Chainsaw for Me and it Came Back With The Chain on BACKWARDS 😳🙈🙄 Notice i said i… “ONCE” had… That Small Engine Shop NEVER Did Anything Else For Me!!! Or maybe it was a Return that had been run through rock or something in a Tree (Barbwire) and They Just Cleaned It Up Really Good and Sold It As “New”🤷♂️🤔 Had a Previous Owner hit barbwire on the first cut they’d thought the same way about it!!! I have a Greenworks 42” Riding Mower that does a Fair Job on my Yard but it doesn’t like Tall Grass!!! Drains the Batteries Faster and will bog down… I would guess it would Stop Cutting altogether if i kept Pushing It into Really Thick and Tall Grass🤔👍 Thanks for the Video ✅
Depends on the Person… My Dad just turned 84 last week and he and i cut up a downed tree in his yard just last Year… Course a Chainsaw is Definitely a Dangerous “Handtool” for Everyone!!! It’s a Machine that doesn’t have a care for what it Cuts!!!😳 My Dad heated our Home with Firewood so that makes a Huge Difference also 👍
Looks heavy, good work out 💪

Was the 40 volt better than this new 24 volt? Great videos
Last 30 seconds answered that I believe. I’m going to get the 40 volt. Do you agree? And thank you. You seem like a great guy. Cheers from Toronto

It is very heavy and not recommended for older folks. Too heavy to hold and it could cuase injuries.
