This is the BEST idea for the groundbreaker I've ever seen! Turning it into a house breaker was genius 😂
Glad you liked it!
A bunch of haunters did it last year too.
@@NightmareFoundry considering that the groundbreaker from Costco came out this year, I’m not sure what you mean. But if you want to be a Debbie Downer, I’m sure there’s plenty of other channels to be one on
Issac, do you have your decorations out yet?
@@mrscaptcrewsocks not until end of Sept
A very effective use of the groundbreaker skeleton. He looks menacing bursting through the roof like that. Well done.
Thank you so much !
I don’t usually like store-bought props but leave it to you to find a way to make me love it. The displaced shingles around the roof “breakthrough” was genius.
The shingles really make it look awesome!! Always awesome tutorials!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Love all the attention to detail that you put into this project. The little things go a long way in the finish.
Yes it does! Thanks so much
Longer ladder to get on the roof Mr Man.. getting on that last step was NOT SAFE 😏🧐.. carry on ❤👑
👍
I’ve been searching online for weeks to see if anyones done this. ❤ thank you x1000000000
You're welcome!
I watch this channel for three reasons:
1. Your DIY videos are so much fun and cool!!
2. I love how passionate you are about your books!
3. You're so gosh darn handsome. Lol
Keep up the amazing work!!
Wow, thank you so much! Your support means a lot. I'm thrilled that you're enjoying the DIY videos and my books-both are such big passions of mine. And as for that last part, you're too kind! 😄 I’ll definitely keep the cool projects coming. Thanks again for being such an awesome person
@@IsaacAlexanderDIY anytime my guy :D
We followed your directions and just did this!! YOU ARE AWESOME!! The only thing we did differently is we used zip ties to secure the one arm to the board instead of drilling into the finger and back of it. THANK YOU!! We must have referenced your video a thousand times the past couple of days and today when we put him up! ❤
My HOA is gonna hate me 😂
Do it! Haha
I HAVE TO TEY THIS!!! THANK YOU FOR THE TUTORIAL!!!
You're going to get this a lot, but this is GENIUS way to display this monster skeleton. I especially loved your tips on counter levering the weight and the supporting the neck with the wire. These props are meant to go on level ground and you thought this through well. Storm approved! The shingles are also the perfect touch to finish the illusion.
I've never tried using the expanding foam as "glue" but this will be my go to. It seems to work great for you. (I have a bunch of plastic tombstones that fall over and haven't ground a glue -yet-to stick to the metal support brackets I put on them.
Another great tutorial Isaac! Gracias!
@@senorscaryjerry Thank you so much! I really appreciate your feedback, and I’m glad you found the tips on counter levering and neck support useful! It’s awesome to hear that it’s storm approved too-those little details really make a difference. Expanding foam is definitely a game changer for securing props. Keep me posted on how it goes, and thanks again for the kind words!
De nada! Glad you enjoyed the tutorial!
Will definitely be doing this with ours! Can't wait! Great tutorial!
Awesome! I always wondered the best way to mount a prop to the roof. The addition of him breaking through the shingles is a great touch. Thanks for another great video!
Thanks so much man!
Omg you have found the perfect place for it!!! It will be a perfect display on Halloween! I’m excited for your display this year ! I know it will be epic
Thank you so much!!☺️☺️☺️☺️
I was curious how to go about putting the ground breaker on my roof! So glad I came across your video. I can’t put a second piece of plywood to counter the weight due to how my roof layout is, so I’m hoping a ton of sandbags on the plywood/base keep it in place.
i had thought of this already but i was just thinking of mounting it. the makeshift shingles coming out with it is genius and adds so much! i didn’t even think of that, great touch!
Thank you so much ! 😊
I can't convince the Mister that we need to do this, LOL Yours looks great and I am so looking forward to this year's haunt reveal.
I’ll take to him and convince him haha
Great project! Really ingenious using the counterbalance to secure it without having to penetrate the roof. Bravo!
I can even begin to afford the skeleton but this videos still cool to watch.
Thank you so much !
Found you from Tiktok, great video.
Isaac.... love it!!!!
Great conceptual idea on how to do something different with the ground breaker. My favorite by far.
Glad you liked it! And yes wanted to do something different
If DIY projects can make me look as good as you, I’m going to start doing more DIY projects :-). The skeleton on the roof is awesome.
Haha Thank you so much for the kind words
Very easy and awesome job! Some digital or flickering eyes would finish it for me.
Great idea!
Outstanding! Well done 👏 😊
Thank you so much !
There's Nothing Issac cannot do @ this point. W😲W
Haha thanks
Love this guide! Love the effects of the shingles 🧡
Thanks so much!
That looks amazing on the roof.
Thank you so much !
That looks SOOOOOO COOL!!!!! You are very inspirational
Thank you so much!☺️
The only thing I would change is to add some weight to the counter balance. It probably doesn't need it but it would help me sleep better at night
Great tip!
Thank you for all your continued hard work to knock it out of the park. Fan for life. Bull from SA Tx
Thank you so much for the kind words Bull, glad to have you here
That looks absolutely awesome! What a great idea! 💡
Thanks so much!
So so cool!!!💜🖤💜 thank you ❤
Pure Genius !!
Thank you so much !
This looks fantastic!💀
I actually purchased this from Costco a few weeks ago. I was going to put it on my lawn but this looks so much better.
@@CustomWoodWorkDecor Thank you so much !
That's wicked cool!
It looks really cool🎉
Thanks !
Omg 😱 love it thank you for sharing all your amazing 🤩 works of art. Have a wonderful weekend 😊🤗🤩
Thank you for the kind words!
DIY of the year!!!!!
You are too kind
That's your best one yet, my #1 ❤
Thank you so much !
A skeleton the size of the giants found. That’s crazy big and love the roof idea😁
Hehe indeed !
That's awesome 👍
Thanks 👍
Wow I really love it, looks great bursting through the roof🎃
Thanks so much! 😊
I am so looking forward to your full reveal this year!
Me too!!
Freakin' amazing!
Doing this with my giant groundbreaker! Demonic gatekeeper from Spirit!
Thought it would be impossible with a slanted roof but thanks for the tutorial!
Glad I could help
CAN I SAY WOW??? This looks so cool and amazing!!! Isaac you are truly talented and ghoulishly creative!! Great job!! Te quedó estupendo!! 👏👏👏👍💀❤️😎
Thank you so much for your kind words, I’m so happy you love it. Muchas Gracias!
Thank you so much for this video!! We are planning on doing ours soon. What lights do you have on him?
This idea was Amazing!!! It looks soooo cool!!! And the added touch of the shingles really adds to the look!!! Great job!🎃💙
You are too kind!
This is such a great idea to put that groundbreaker on a roof and honestly with the light you addzd it makes him scarier than ever ! You did a good job 😊
Thanks for giving me the idea to do a review with the ground breaker
@@IsaacAlexanderDIY 🥰🥰 but you did the rest and in an amazing way as always 🙏
Hauntingly cool, I'd love to be able to do that. But figure out how to make the head turn back and forth, like he's looking around! ❤️
Love that !
Came from instagram. This is badass!!!
Welcome from insta! Glad to have you here
Great idea! This would work on the colossal spider as well!
Totally!
OMG!!!!!!This is amazing!!!! I have to say, Isaac that I was distracted in this video by your amazing arms! 🤗💪
Haha we had a heat wave when I filmed this video, so it was about 100° outside and I was melting so I had to wear the tank top to cool off. Thanks again for being here
love it great job
I'm glad you like it
Nice job ! Looks great.
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome idea! Love it!
Thank you! 😊
This is awesome! Wish I had the roof line to do something like this.
Thank you so much !
pretty cool
This is the best idea ever very creative
Thank you so much ! 😊
Wow I bet this technique would even work on a metal roof. Thanks
It might work
Love this idea!
Thank you! 😊
Awesome display. How would you mount the giant spider? The same way?
So creative!🧡
Thank you! Cheers!
I love this
Thank you so much !
Great job. Is it basically just glued to the board with the foam? Not bolted to the board at all?
Really cool display. I'm glad it did fine in the rain, but how would it do in some aggressive wind? It looks like the pieces of plywood on each side would shift during strong winds.
I will find out
That looks sick!
Thanks Mikey!
@@IsaacAlexanderDIY :)
thank you for the materials list
You are welcome 😊
Love this idea❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊
I got 1 last year and was thinking of doing the same thing. Looks good.
Thank you so much !
This is the best idea I’ve seen for the ground breaker skeleton! Wish I could do this on my own roof, but it slopes way too much. 😞
Thank you so much, yes if the roof is too sloped I definitely don’t advise that it could be dangerous.
😲oh Crikey.. Hey Isaac.. gosh.. that looks so wicked love it.. now gonna watch the video lol.. 🤔that is a great idea.. the 4x8 cut and use it as an Anker.. very brilliant..love that.. 3:30 Hey Little Helper, lol So sorry about the weather you had gosh.. glad all was ok,. The Groundbreaker looks wonderful and life like gosh and the size wow... and the shingles.. perfect touch.. wow. At night with those flashing lightning light, amazing and the size of the Skeleton gosh.. amazing as always Isaac.. again true artist at work here.. !! Taking notes again.. lol. It turned out brilliantly.. and glad you guys are safe.. Bravo... !!!😊👌🏆💀🎃 * I went to Walmart to other day, and saw a 20 foot skeleton or more and I thought of you and all the ideas I had , just staring at that giant.. thank you for these videos.. !!
Hopefully, we don’t get any more intense thunderstorms like that. My little helper has been great.
@@IsaacAlexanderDIY Hey Isaac, I hope so too, gosh.. 7 in of rain.. wow.. I thought you were in Texas, ok .. Yes even though didn't see him, glad was there to help.. lol Little Helper lol !
This is awesome buddy!!! 🔥🔥☺️
Glad you think so!
Someone posted this on Facebook before you, but appreciate the tutorial atleast
Oh yeah? What was their name?
Love the look. Wondering how you would go about doing it on a metal roof tho. Since it's slicker than shingles and I would think using shingles for around the base would look wierd
I wouldn’t do it if I had a metal roof. You don’t really have traction and you could end up scratching the roof.
Such a great idea to put him on the roof and it does look like he is breaking through the roof. Awesome job. Your display this year is going to be next level it always looks amazing. Happy Falloween 🧡 🤎 💛 🍁 🍂 🎃 👻
Thanks so much! I expect that my display this year will be the biggest one yet
Love the idea! My roof is too pitched or I would have definitely done this.
Yes, this is definitely a project for a regular steeped roof. I have an average steep to my roof, but if yours is too steep, it is too risky.
6:58 All I could think was I hope that holds because that thing is gonna push you off the roof and then land right on top of you.
@@GoblinsMom that wouldn’t be very demure
blasts "Break Free" by Ari. You make it look so simple to do with such a genius outcome! so bloody sick Isaac!
🅰️lexa, play break free by Ariana Grande. Thank you so much Black Bear!
OMG Imagine if lightening hit the head during the storm and then POW there goes the head. Also we need a workout channel with those big guns of yours stud.
Haha that would be quite the lighting strike! And yes I need to do a fitness channel next
Got dammit ur a got darn GENIUS!!! 🙌🙌
How amazing is that?? 😍 I can’t find one locally but I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for one! 🧡💀💚
They are such a hot item right now and keep selling out
What kind of lights do you have on it? I noticed one was on and the other was strobing.
My roof is plain white and flat. Any suggestions on making the skeleton look like it’s bursting out instead of the shingles? Love what you’ve done here!
Is it white shingles or is it another material? If it’s white shingles, you could spray paint the extra shingles, you buy but if it’s another material, I would use pieces of insulation foam board (the 1in thick type) cut them in irregular and jagged shapes and attach it to the base making it look like it is breaking out.
@@IsaacAlexanderDIYamazing , thank you. It’s just a plain white roofing paint
I love it :)
Thanks Alex
This is so cool!
Thank you so much !
Amazing job
Thank you! Cheers!
Amazing !! Nice work . Just curious what is spot light you are using with the random strobe effect ?
It’s actually in my tactical flashlight that I temporarily put up there lol
What lights did you use to light him up?
So cool!
Thank you 😊
What strobe are you using? It looks like it's an intermittent rhythm of light, not a constant on-off strobe
@@MarkFaustino it was actually my tactical flashlight lol it was strobing SOS in morse
Soooooo. Cool !!!!!!!!! 💀💀💀
☺️☺️
How much weight can that foam actually hold?
Sad I didn’t get to see this in person.
😔
I hope it can withstand strong winds. I know that here in Michigan we get very strong winds every October.
We get windy Octobers but nothing like Michigan
Brilliant!!!
Thank you so much !
I would love to do this on my metal roof. Any suggestions on what to do for a base to keep it from scratching up my roof?
I wouldn’t recommend this on a metal roof
Awesome!
Thanks!
