@@ChristmasAficionadoyou know I think I do too. I used to watch this as a kid. I actually had big bird at my birthday party when I was a kid in the 80s.
@@ChristmasAficionadoYa you good for adding this top 5. That said, I’m looking and it’s been a few days since we had a Rankin Bass entry. Ya still living’ life on the edge!
@@ChristmasAficionadoLol I also have a Guilty Pleasure that I know isn’t making it on the list (for sure not Top 5). Disney’s Small One. Love me some Don Bluth.
I feel like if you're gen x, you were either a Sesame Street kid or you weren't. I still think it's the best kids show ever made, and my kids (especially my oldest who's autistic) loved it. We have two copies of this on VHS plus the book. The Bert and Ernie part always gets me choked up.
You gotta love the subplot of Bert and Ernie exchanging gifts 🎁 in an homage to “The Gift of the Magi “.
It makes me so happy and sad to see Mr. Hooper. I remember the show addressing his death

CEOSS still means a lot to me all these years later. I still watch it every year on Christmas Eve.
It was a must watch in my house
Another interesting pick! I'll give this a watch for sure!
Have you ever seen it?
It Aired on PBS in the Late 1980s
Unexpected, but a welcome top 5. The skating scene is outstanding (and Goofy). Mr Hooper is possibly the MVP. I love how often Santa is called fat.
This is a personal choice for me. Before we got cable this was on PBS on Christmas Eve and was the only thing we could watch. It’s special for me

I was born in 1975 with no cable in the early 80s. This and Mr. Rogers were essential
