Ok Ebuka I am going to follow your instructions and if I see no improvement, I am just going to pack the 4 that I have and ship them to Nigeria 😂😁because I’ve had it up to here(my neck) with those plants. 😂😁😂😂
Growing most of my calatheas in self watering pots, and I have a couple in just water with colored glass pebbles. The ones in water and pebbles are the ones that seemed to get spider mites constantly, but now, when I change out the water, I can also wash the leaves down. They all seem happier and healthier.
I have all my Calatheas bunched together in my bedroom. Doesn't get much light, but they love the humidity coming from my ensuite bathroom. Great video!
Thank you calathea guru! I find it hard to find the balance between constantly moist & too wet, same with other plants-I find semi hydro works ok, they seem to live better as I’m not murdering it! Xxxxx your white fusion looks so beautiful, better in my opinion xxxx
Hi Ebuka I thought these caletheas die after a while and I thought of why buying them if I couldn’t keep taking care of this plant, thanks for your information 😊 it does help ❤❤❤ good day sweetheart 🥰 hi for everyone 🙏🏼 God bless
I have a Rattlesnake that is doing well. I bottom water it. The reason I don't have more Calathea is because I live in a small apartment. As always it makes me so happy to see you. Peace
Yes yes as we have discussed several times on this page it’s super important to work with your space, know its limit and what plants will work for it . If one calathea is all that works then definitely stick to that 🥰
Hi! It has been a year since i started gardening and recently I bought my first calathea (pinstripe ornata). It had started getting crispy until i followed your instruction. Kept them in between other plants and in almost full shade (against the many suggestions of keeping them in bright indirect light). I am so happy to see my calathea revive. Hoping to buy more😊
Ebuka I have 👀1 Calathea 😂😂 a rattlesnake for 4-5 years now and I can still count the leaves on it 🤦🏽♀️ only reason it hasn't seen the bin is because I have some kinda love & hope for it still, taught I tried everything but thanks for giving me a couple more to try , and your face looks so smoothhhh keep these fab videos coming babes 🤗🩷
Lol oh wow I do hope these points help and transform your 5 year old Rattle snake lol . Although they tend to be quite slow growing. Thanks for the compliment babes ! I’ve started taking skin care abit more seriously these days 💚💚
Actually I think I may try the Triostar again! Knowing what I know now . The Makoyana is truly a darling. She’s in my experience the easiest Calathea there is omg
The algorithm was really freaking working hard for me today. I am currently in the process of killing my first Calathea and there’s so many things I need to change. Today’s plant chores will be to put all these in action and then see how we go from here 😅
Spider plants on all plants I find set in if you don't take your plant down and take it to the sink and wash it's leaves when watering. Also my #1 tip to anyone go to the pet department or pet store and go to the Fish section and buy yourself a bottle of Water Conditioner. I used to keep fish for years and buying yourself this product will save/prevent your sensitive pants from chemical damage. You literally only add like a drops to a watering can and it does all the work for you and you don't need to buy Distilled water. I have spider plants also with ZERO brown tips, cause thet too don't like city water. Water Conditioner by API or Tetra --- total game changer it's like 10 or 11 bucks and lasts forever.
Hi ebuka, I started my indoor plant collection with various calatheas. Needless to say, they all died. It's definitely not beginner friendly. A year later, I now hv a calathea makoyana and a red maranta that are doing great! If this keeps going, I may try some more. Now that I have some experience. And I agree with your tips ebuka ❤
OK, so I’m back again. The Calathea that I mentioned I have the best luck with the most beautiful, is the Cthenanthe. This is the one that I threw outside because I gave up on it. And then it flourished! It is now huge almost looking like a small bush. but here in Texas it will soon be freezing so now I will have to bring it in to protect it. I do possess to Rattlesnake Calathea‘s because I think they are so unique looking, and they are both blemish free. I found a perfect spot and I never move it from that spot. I learned once they’re happy in a given spot to leave it there. Another one I refuse to give up on because of its beauty, not really a Calathea but treated as one, and that is my Stromanthe Triostar. Thank you for your video, I look forward to receiving it each time for great tips.
I thought the previous title was too shady and y’all will come for me 🤣🤣 , but let me change it back now !! Thanks as always , love the new display picture 😀
Ok your "Material" Fell on my head like a full laundry basket and I'm only now blinking here on the floor thinking "What just happened to me???" The humidity circle and a drama queen dance posse to hang with I can do. For me I buy water conditioner out of the Fish section in a pet department. A few drops into my watering can and it conditions the water for me instead of buying distilled water. A bottle of conditioner last forever cause you barely have to use any to treat your water. Prior to this I would water with my fish tank water when I cleaned my tanks. I will set up a chic circle for them tonight by the humidfier. 👑🪴👑

🤣🤣🤣🤣 lol my favorite comment of the day
I will play this video for my dying Calathea. “Ebuka says you’re tough dammit! Shape up!”
🤣🤣🤣 I hope that works

Bathrooms are super great for them, and bunching them together is super smart I wish more people did that with them ! Thanks for watching dear 💚
I cracked the code when I put my Marantaceae family plants in sphagnum moss. Holds moisture and yet airy. The roots love it. 💚
Periodtt!! Once you can get them something that holds moisture , then you have worn half of the battle with them

Yes semi hydro works wonderfully for Calatheas as well as a lot of moisture loving plants !! Thanks so much for watching and engaging 💚🤗

I found terracotta pots good only for cacti and saculents, maybe sansevieria 💚
I unalived a stromanthe triostar (tried it in pon) 🥴 but I wanna try again in the spring.
My makoyana is doing fantastic tho. Had a big growth burst.
Actually I think I may try the Triostar again! Knowing what I know now . The Makoyana is truly a darling. She’s in my experience the easiest Calathea there is omg

I miss the sassier title, but you have really raised the bar for an intro. We're not worthy, we just aren't 🤣

@@TheMillennialPlantDad You did it! And it's funny because we all know it's ... TRUE. Be well, friend.
I'm so jealous. I've given up on Calathea.
My rattle snake is my favorite plant !
Hi Ebuka😃🙌💖I love Calathea. I enjoyed watching👍
Thank you so much
I have many calathea and other marantacea for years, one is 11 years old, they are not as difficult as many people say
