If I may, I’d recommend avoiding rubber bands. They tend to pull our texture hair. Have you ever tried to do knotless braids as a protective style? There’s some age appropriate styles for toddlers. It will help with hair growth too, keeping it in a protective style. I do the same for my baby girl. Less manipulation. She’s such a good baby to sit while you do her hair. So precious!
