Hey we are Winston and Mayfair! We are a Christian couple, who are totally in love and we got married in August 2020.
Winston was born with a condition known as Osteogenesis Imperfecta, a disorder that causes his bones to be extremely fragile. He has suffered over 200 fractures in his lifetime and uses a wheelchair for mobility. Mayfair is non-disabled and enjoys looking after her physical and mental wellbeing - although she admits that she doesn't like running!
Professionally, Winston is a Motivational Speaker whose work has been featured by international brands including Google, Disney and TED talks. Mayfair is a Life Coach and Author who published her debut book The Becoming at the tender age of 21.
Our purpose is to document our day-to-day life as an interabled couple, and address some of the stigmas around disability and relationships. Our ultimate mission is to create a world that is kinder and more inclusive for everyone.

Every baby is different. Understand that mobility is not something that can be rushed. Malaika cannot be pushed to do what she has not acquired the musculoskeletal development to perform without injury or harm to herself. Development is different for her. If I had to guess I would say, she's a unique offspring. She bares some of the markers for OI like her father, while exhibiting quite possibly less fragile bones. She's a blessing.
Let her be please. I know much is coming from a place of love. Although her journey is going to be different than the most children, it is going to be her journey, uniquely her own. Just enjoy her and trust that her parents who have the blueprint will provide her with what she needs.

You are absolutely right! My oldest was slow walking and crawling because at the babysitter he was always held or in a high chair. He started walking when I put him down and allowed him to explore.

I used a walker for my 1st baby too. Not much for my 2nd and not at all for my 3rd.

Just to let you know all you have to use is the vacuum hose if you have one I don't know but you could use that and then the connection pieces that come with it make it more easier to clean her car seat or her stroller

Babies are different and don't reach the same milestones at the same time. Both my girls managed to stand and walk on their own towards 2 years, no matter how much you try it will come when the time is right. So don't even allow such comments to make you feel like you are not doing your best.

@@troywhitaker6684 I think by 1 year they started crawling, they didn't crawling for a long time before they started walking, they learnt how to stand and walk at the same time, but they stated sitting on their own from month 3 and started talking way early that the kids their age. Just concentrate on doing age appropriate activities with no pressure on yourself or the baby because like Mayfair said, safety is key. No pressure mommy if the child has no disability declared by a Dr, don't mind what you see around you or what the internet say, just concentrate on make sure your baby get the best out of their surroundings safely and eventually they will reach milestones.

@@troywhitaker6684 I would too, and she was very nice about it, believe me some mother would be very rude. Let's be sensitive with some of these issues. Issues to do with fertility, child development are no go areas let's respect boundaries. Even if they are sharing their lives online it doesn't give people the right to ask about sensitive matters.

What you can do is boil the ribs about 25 minutes. the ribs put some seasoning and the water and then put them in the oven and cook quicker. ❤️💯

My son's motor skills below his Age he had to get occupational therapist. don't worry about it stopped answering questions for people's. Both my kids start walking after one years old everybody child is different.🙏❤️

Hello Mayfair, Try putting them in a slow cooker. They are great for when you need to cook something for a few hours. I start mine out on high then reduce it to let what every I'm preparing slow cook. I think you'll be impressed at how tender meat can get in a slow cooker. You'll probably need a large one for the amount of meat you were preparing. I have a large and small one and i love them.
