    I really appreciate that these are designed to lay flat while writing, which is an absolute must have feature for me. Thank you for making these unique papers readily available in a great format!

    Oh this is so cool I just ordered this and went looking for reviews, and found the creator. Thank you for the explainer, I very much like the “desk free” feature.
    One request: Have you seen the Midori MD notebooks’ grid pattern? It’s like a standard grid except there are little gaps in the vertical lines. It looks weird at first but I find it fits my handwriting perfectly. Would love to get one of your notebooks in grid.

      Thanks you Joel! I appreciate the support. I have seen the Midori MD grid patter and it is quite nice. I will consider doing something similar in the future.

    Just to clarify for other viewers: you say in the video that this is a B5 size notebook. Looking at the dimensions on your website, it's actually a little smaller than the typical B6 size, at 120mm x 165mm.
    For comparison, in case anyone's curious: Stalogy's B6 Editor's Series notebook is 128mm x 182mm. Midori's B6 slim size MD notebook is 106mm x 174mm; and Nanami's B6 slim Cafe Note is 110mm x 176mm. And why not include the Jibun Techo Mini B6 Slim (the book without the plastic cover), which is 113mm x 182mm. I have read that the B paper sizes are not as standardized as the A paper sizes, and this comparison seems to bear that out in terms of the vertical dimension. (It seems like they should all be the same.) The B6 slim width dimensions are also all over the place. I've heard the Stalogy referred to as a "true B6," but I don't know whether or not that's true.

    • @BlakesBroadcast
      @BlakesBroadcast  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you are correct! I don't know why, but I always confuse B6 and B5. The Blocker notebook is slightly smaller than a B6.

    • @arguchik
      @arguchik ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BlakesBroadcast I confuse them sometimes too! Probably because the same numbers don't refer to the most similar size from A to B. Like A5 is closer in B6...but the numbers make it seem like A5 and B5 should be similar.

    Went to your site and found the A5 notebooks with the lined Mitsubishi Bank Paper…in RED! Ideal for a general fountain pen writing notebook. I have some other bank paper items here and like them. This is arguably one of the best thought out items anywhere for its intended purpose. Thanks!

      Hi David, thank you for your support! I hope you will like the notebook. I couldn't reliably find Bank Paper notebooks and no one was offering them ruled so I decided to make my own.

    I received my notebook yesterday. I figured I'd share my thoughts.
    Pros:
    * The paper is very white, which I appreciate as compared to off-white and cream with Rhodia
    * The binding and cover are high quality
    * The packaging/presentation is nice
    * The paper is very opaque, doubly so for its weight
    Cons:
    * The smaller size will be a problem for my size of writing
    * I'd vastly prefer lined paper over the dot grid--I've never tried a grid (or blank) before
    * The paper provides a bit more feedback with a fountain pen (I tried 5) than I'd like
    * I wish it had an elastic band to hold it closed
    Overall, it's a very nice notebook which many people would be very happy with. My top issue is the small size followed by the lack of ruled lines.

    • @BlakesBroadcast
      @BlakesBroadcast  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much for your feedback! I definitely want to add a ruled version in the future. I may also make a larger size but it will have to be larger than A5.

    I love your attention to detail Blake. I’m probably going to buy one now. Does it show the sheen of fountain pen ink?

    • @BlakesBroadcast
      @BlakesBroadcast  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Atilio, it does show sheen, I would say a bit more than Rhodia, but not comparable to a coated paper like Cosmo Air Light or Tomoe River.

    Hi Blake-kudos again for producing something (well) out of the ordinary! I did mention my hope for a B6 version of the bank paper notebook, and here we are with something close to B6 in this handsome fellow. May I ask the precise dimensions? Thanks, as always for these first rate reviews.

    • @BlakesBroadcast

    Not bad for 27 dollars and the binding looks pretty good. Do lamy notebooks have this gmund paper?

    • @BlakesBroadcast
      @BlakesBroadcast  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lamy notebooks have a 90 gsm paper. Blocker paper does not come in 90 gsm. It is possible that they use a different paper from Gmund but it would not be one that I recognize.

      @jdrotleff 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have the Tourmaline Lamy notebook and I love everything about it…really cool color, nice cover, the lines are like sorta half grid half lined…except the paper. The paper is terrible. It feels so scratchy. I almost never use it :(

    • @dashsunil
      @dashsunil 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jdrotleff I have never tried lamy notebooks. Its surprising that their notebooks are not great for fountain pens and they say 75% of their sale is from fountain pens.

    Hi Blake! So good you added B6 blank and I'm still waiting for the blank A5 re-stock. Is your discount code BB10 for only One purchase? I'm thinking on buying the A5 and B6 blank both together if your code is good only once. Congratulations🥳🤩👍👍💙💚💓💗💜❤️💛
