This was absolutely ridiculous. I watched for an hour, ate dinner and took a shower and when I came back they were all still in the same place they were before. They stood behind that car for 3.5 hours. And no, this is not a result of "coward cops". This is a direct result of CA lawmakers making it harder for cops to do their job. Any other state, you would have had an arrest team formed 10 minutes max after the vehicle came to a stop and the suspect in custody.

This is so tragic. My 84 year old grandma waited 3 hours in a Wendy's drive thru and when she got to the freeway it was completely blocked off. Truly tragic. Thoughts and prayers.

Possibly, follow the suspect and make an arrest when he is not in a vehicle to avoid a major incident? Who was the suspect and did he have a criminal record; why did he shoot at another vehicle that prompted the chase?

The failed attempts to employ the tire strips looked awful - just poor performance on the part of the police. Surely there must be more economical and effective ways of handling this. Got reports that he is NOT DEAD they brought him back in route to the hospital and he is in serious condition.
