just ordered up a set of treal hardened steel portal gears since they just became available in the UK . should get me rolling again in a couple days rather than weeks ! stoked to get the little fcx back on the rocks 👌👍

Yo! keep up the great videos! You have no idea how much they've helped. Glad to see that Treal is supporting the FCX24! Love my sxc24's but nice to branch out to other rigs.
I strongly recommend when installing those Treal driveshafts, since the hole to connect the Ds to the Differential, to have the diff gear drive curved side up. That way the screw tightens to the driveshaft and draws the round curve of 5he diffs pinion shaft against the inner curvature of the Treal driveshafts connection. Do the same with the Transmission drivetrain as well. Less vibration, I've ran at least 12 packs through mine with a 40,000rpm motor, and the screws haven't even loosened yet without any blue LT. I ran it once with the drives opposite of this and one screw almost got away, so I thought I'd get science on it... Lol awesome vid, and super jell on all that great Treal merch. I used to be sponsored by Castle Creations racing Pro Mod 1/10 Scale Monster Trucks in 2016(?)to 2018, won Mid-Ohio Valleys championship points and freestyle with a highly modded Axial SMT10 named Mr. Yuck. Those were the days and now I'm getting back in slowly with these Lil guys. So much fun! Sorry so long! 🖖❤️🍻
I'm so glad you're doing all the parts recon for us! I bought three Power Wagons. Starting off with just adding oil to the shocks and some cosmetic effects. As I'm able, upgrades will come with time. I plan on going in three different directions with them. So much good stuff being made available... taking a deep breath and taking my time with each one.

Appreciate you sharing everything, I’m glad trail coming out with parts, got my limited edition FCX 24 power wagon, well I think I already told you in another video but they did an excellent job on the paint decals, the clips are longer now to undo the body. Got a set of my mofo RC monster truck tires and rims on it it looks awesome and Mean yeah catch on the next one

The shocks do come with the doubles. Count the parts in the bag. You use the brass and one silver on the double balls they have longer screws for them in the bag also.
No actual double ball stud in the set. Maybe they put twice as many in there so you can double them up but I’m talking about the double studs like the stock truck has. I honestly haven’t even ran them. They didn’t really offer anything over the stock shocks besides some looks.
Awesome Matt! Your ability to afford to get all this stuff to try is a big help to people and can save them money by letting people make better informed decisions on what to by. Look forward to seeing how these parts work out once installed!

Lol I work for a utility company. My wife originally would ask what I ordered now when a package arrived. Now she don’t even bother. I do kinda treat it like a business now with the channel so that helps. Gotta have those expenses come tax time 😆

I've about given up on mine. It took so long to even get it with the months long shipping times from China. In the meantime my health keeps getting worse and my hands barely work anymore (which also makes typing increasingly difficult) so I just shelved the truck still in the box and all the parts and stuff I had gotten for it. Eventually I decided just to run it box stock just to get some run time and video of it. First issue is with my hands as they are it took me about a half hour just to get the body off to get to the battery to charge it. That's when I realized there was no charger in the box. Apparently when Fairrc opened the box to put the spare battery I had ordered in the box, they removed the charger to make room for the battery. I of course have a real charger but it got put into storage 2 years ago when I started having the health issues. Then when I put batteries in the controller I find out that it is defective and won't even turn on. The only place that seems to have the controller in stock is Fairrc who are the ones that sent me a non working one, so I'm not liable to order it from them. And if I did by the time I actually got it I may well have already gone to meet my maker. So to minimize my frustrations since I have enough of that in my life already, I just stuck my FCX24 back in the box, brand new with no working controller.
Maybe I'll request that this truck be cremated with me so I can take it to Hell with me, or wherever I end up. (I'll try to send video :>

Another great video. Thank you for this. As far as aluminum and brass upgrades, what do you think is the best brand? I’m mostly talking between TREAL and RCAWD. If you had a choice between these two brands to complete a rig with all their upgrades, which one would you choose.? Is there another brand out there that may be better than these?
Awesome watching now Matt I’ve been up in hell Michigan Hail Michigan mud jam talking about a blast it was my first time first time ever in a mega truck yeah I had fun heck yeah. So now it is Sunday 9:21 PM watching now. I thought maybe my inner aluminum portal box was in but not yet, I got the bronze color, I do have their brass outer covers on now just the front of my red one, going to put the other two on the front All the limited addition
Not sure if anyone makes these I made a out of a round peice of solid aluminum cut in half cut to length and drill a hole made a little insert for my drive shafts. Been running them now for a week. They are so far really nice. I want to try different materials even a 3d printed one..
Just ordered the treal drive shafts. I have the other brand that looks the same just says 400mm-50mm on the shafts and installed them today. 2 set screws snapped in half during installation. Replaced them and it had so much slop at the pinions I took them off and am sending them back.
Treal is the way to go on these FMS DRIVESHAFTS.

@@2fmrc So they do extend? I was worried because the Treal website says the are NOT extenders. All we really need is a couple mm...those weights....LOL! Maybe if you want FCX24 bookends...
@@QuinnsRC I don’t think they really extend any. I’ll have to measure but the way they slip over the pin and sit back a bit farther makes me think they don’t really extend. I thought they did at first. They call them spacers like they do something besides just be a hex replacement 😆

No I haven’t found one made for it. I need to check the tooth count and see if any others will fit.
I will get the steering links and the hexes. No interest in bling or parts just for the fact that they exist though. I like the weighted portal covers but it looks like they are for the stock wheels, not 1" wheels.

@@2fmrc Thanks. 40 grams seems a bit much, but that's coming from ignorance. Just 10 minutes ago I got my set of axles from FMS. Alert, they came with metal gears that appear to have good attachment. They only needed grease and the covers fit better. Same puny steering link though.
Great video but seems like with some of that stuff they just selling to get pp money .I hate buying stuff just to find out it doesn't even fit or needs fabrication

Very interesting Video like always, THANK You! The Covers are really very heavy. You don't like such heavy Things on Your Crawler? What You think about brass Wheels? Bought last Week very Heavy Injora Brass Rims(44g) each. But I think this is to heavy and now You said the same 🤔. Greetings!
It’s a fine line between good weight and too much weight. I try to build my trucks basically as light as possible (without doing all crazy doing it) then add a little weight here and there to get a 60/40 balance front to rear. I’ve found that lighter rigs just do better for me. Heavier rigs sometimes struggle to pull themselves up things that a lighter rig will go straight up. Always keep the weight as low as possible also!
This truck does need lower weight added. I think there is a place for those portal covers and that would be if you are using the stock wheels on a stock truck. It's non rotational weight after all.
