Well, the video is over a year old now, and the Calamity devs don't sit still. They are always tweaking the battle AI, which is one of the reasons I try to mention all the versions. I know they reworked a lot of the boss AI in recent versions, so I'm not surprised that you are seeing differences. @@m27315 After a bit of personal experience and independent research, I’ve come to discover that playing on Revengance mode in a Master Mode world drastically increases the aggressiveness and AI of boss AI, damage, and attack patterns I initially thought that everyone played Revengance on Master Mode but I found out that Calamity is balanced more around Expert Mode than Master Mode💀
@@AquaticNebula that's my understanding too. It has become recently more balanced, but the intended experience has always been expert + calamity. Anything more is for the unhinged. 😅
There are several things that I am doing to boost damage, and although individually meager, they all add up. Double check your arena buffs, like the Drunk Princess candles. Double check all your accessories are reforged to Menacing. (Each one can add 4% more damage.) Also, check that you are using the accessories that maximize DPS. And, make sure you are using all the potions I am using, which also add another 10%-20% to DPS. Also, some armor sets have melee bonuses, which also helps. Also, make sure your hammer has been reforged to the maximum tier, Godly, IIRC. ... It is possible that any one or more of these got nerfed too. (If it got nerfed, I don't know it yet.) You can look through Calamity's "changelog" to see. (If it got nerfed, I don't know it yet.)Unfortunately, that investigation is a manual process of looking through all the changes between the above video and the version you are playing. @@lahvis5097 im having the same issue, i think they reworked it unfortunately but I cant seem to find where in the logs they reworked it, must be recent as it hasn't even changed on the calamity wiki
bro its so annoying, they nerfed a lot of the good melee weapons use times like the fallen paladins hammer and the briny baron right click. i dont know what weapon to use for this fight
