Hopeless and Beaten and Worst is on Its Way, I would say Start the Healing is the one I like the less, too poppy for me, instead of choosing a favourite one. HAB is just poetry and WIOIW almost killed the rest of the album for me, it's everything Bleeding Out didn't achieve in terms of groove, maybe too short but incredibly well executed.
Yes, sir. That album encapsulates the KoRn sound better than anything else. Same with the clear and inspired vocals. I always enjoy meeting other korn fans who think Untouchables is their opus. True fans.
Untouchables was my favorite album when it first came out and to this day it still is my favorite album. I still listen to the whole album start to finish constantly. Truly a masterpiece.
One of the most down to earth, honest and humble superstars in all of rockdom \m/ Great interview and very cool to see Jonathan happy and in his element ~;^)
Korn is amazing, there is a reason they are still around. They are a center piece of my one tattoo as these guys have been with me through dark times and even now their music resonates with me. I pray there is more to come. Than you korn for being #1
They did a tour in 2022 that I went to and they played a re-worked version of Alone I Break, it was amazing. IDC much for the studio version of AIB for some reason, but the re-worked version they played live had more distorted guitars and sounded much better!
Love the guy. Jonathan is such a cool person with so much talent. His voice is so unique. And the melody. The new album is so amazing 👏 love it. I'm so appreciated for it. Thanks
I became a fan when Untouchables came out and quickly binged everything b4 it. Korn is definitely on my Mt Rushmore of music. Not just Metal or Nu-Metal. Love every member, but especially JD! ❤️🔥
I listened to the new album 3 times in a row early this morning on a bus to work and the obvious choice for me was "hopeless and beaten" man it kicked my ASS. That choirs was deeper then hell. "Help me this thing is feeding" that freaked me out so much....so amazing. The tune, the intent from the lyrics. they all hit the way I wanted them to. Brilliant stuff. I love the entire album but that one song really had my attention. I almost ......nah I cant do that on public transport lol
I first seen korn in 94 them and Marilyn Manson opened up for Danzig and ever since then I've been a fan I've seen them live 14 times now and still going
I'm a big Korn fan but they're not underrated haha. When you're selling out shows most of your life, and your name is known worldwide, you definitely aren't underrated. There are many talented artists who barely receive any recognition in their lifetimes.
Nah, if anything Korn is over-exposed as a band (and as a hardcore fan myself, I say that in the NICEST way possible) But I honestly don't think Korn should be as popular as they are...what I'm saying is, Korn as a band is a household name, in other words people who don't even listen to this style of music know exactly who they are for the most part. I think Korn should be a band that appeals to serious fans of music and their hardcore fans, but I don't think they should be a household name like they are.
I think these last 3 albums act as a loose trilogy. Not narratively at all, but they’re just three different albums with different moods that still maintain a great sound throughout. Keep up the great work guys 🙌🏻
Ive notice when the whole band is together in studio they make gold pressed platinum this album has suchhhhh an old school sound that we miss sooooo mich and the lyrics i swear soundtrack to my life rn no bs
thanks god Jonathan is feeling much more better atm) hes so strong man to get through all the shit he had. a man i proud of, since my childhood. ty Jonathan for music u made, which carried me through all my life. i lived all good and bad things with u, u re not alone! yesterday was watching Queen of the Damned on TV, u did all that music, u re genious one)
Been listening to KoRN since day one and this album has so much feeling in it, it comes through all the songs, I could tell right away without even hearing any interviews that it's special!✌️
OMFG, these guys are like gods to me, they´ve been soundtracking pretty much my whole life since i was 18 (maybe this interviewer wasn´t even born yet i was already headbanging with their incredible music), i´m almost 45 now and still listen to them all the time, always waiting for new amazing music from them and they never dissapoint! Saw them live in Barcelona in 2018 for the 1st time in my life and really was something that i´ll never forget, hope they come back again, we miss them already! If i had time and funds, i´d follow them through the whole european tour without a doubt!
My favorite rock band of all time. 🤟🏽They were the first of many bands I've heard. I've been hooked since my friend gave me the “Issues” cassette album in 1998-99. I love these guys!
Requiem is their best record in a long time. Its heavy but melodic. I love the cleaner vocals and the lyrics are great. I hope they explore more of what this current feel has to offer.
This one was actually better than the nothing for me. I was expecting the other way around. Sos is still my favorite though, but in no way do they sound like they're running out of ideas
Slamming album!! Great job. John you signed my brass pipe “ HIV “ in Boston 95 Sugar Ray opened. I drank Rolling Rocks with David after. I remember he had to ask the tour manager for money. He bought me 3 beers
I died on sept 13th 2019 and was revived. Kinda crazy the nothing came out then. Woke up, with literally no memory of how I got where I was, which was medics over me giving me cpr or whatever. And then being transported to the hospital. So the nothing holds a special place in my heart for me
I doubt they could without Fieldy and David in the mix, those two work together so well and are both under-appreciated. Without those 2 we will never get another Untouchables.
Fell in love with Korn back in early 2000's Take look to the mirrow was their last good album, after Silveria left it sucked and didn't listen albums since 2006,still listen their first 5 albums😊
Original KoRn fan here - Got introduced to them thr week ISSUES came out. Funny thing is I hated it, but that's becauae i had already listened to their first album no joke probably 50 + times in the 5 days it was introduced to me. Issues was such a different sound and at rhe time i had ALOT of rage inside me being a teenager that was bullied alot. The ironic thing is that ISSUES became my favorite album to date. TALITM was a massive letdown for me. For how "heavy" it was, it sounded muted to me and piece-mealed together. I hated it and its my least listened to album of theirs. For me, it is the only album that i felt did not have atleast ONE "ah-ha!! Now THAT'S KoRn!!" track. And then along came REQUIEM and i now put this album in the negative KORN file of mine. It ls not good. I dont know how they keep missing key opportunities to add flare and excitement to their albums, but they keep missing it. The only good and worthwhile track IMO is LOST IN THE GRANDEUR. That would be the perfect KoRn song IF JD didnt mute his voice when he goes off after the third verse and screams MOTHERFUCKER. Its too muted. Like come on JD you're not gonna kill your vocal chords ONE time to really give us the anger and emotion like you used to in the 90s and 2000s. Anyway, i disagree TALITM being their last good one. The Nothing was pretty good. BUT IMO their last real KoRn sounding album was KoRn III REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE and that's because they had Ross Robinson producing it, who as you know producrd their first album.
yeah... i ve heard self titled first then life is peachy,,few FtL songs but then found Issues and that album was definitly and still is the best for me ;) keep it uo bro

What’s your favourite track on ‘Requiem’?
The Requiem.
Hopeless and Beaten and Worst is on Its Way, I would say Start the Healing is the one I like the less, too poppy for me, instead of choosing a favourite one. Jonathan sounds great. I don't know if I've ever heard him sound so lucid, relaxed, and composed. Happy to see it.
Xanax helps
@@shuruff904 he actually stopped with anxiety meds a few years before this interview (ik this reply is late sorry)

Wish you all the best with that

Yes, sir.
That album encapsulates the KoRn sound better than anything else.
Same with the clear and inspired vocals.
I always enjoy meeting other korn fans who think Untouchables is their opus. True fans.
I grew to appreciate it so much more than I did when it was new. I knew it was great but to the level of appreciation I have for it now
Untouchables was my favorite album when it first came out and to this day it still is my favorite album. I still listen to the whole album start to finish constantly. Truly a masterpiece.
14th album. It’s just insane. One of the hardest working band out there.

Great interview and very cool to see Jonathan happy and in his element ~;^)
Absolutely
this guy had a journey of growth behind him. Amazing man
Perfectly said!
For how truly groundbreaking and talented , emotionally intelligent and real the music was/is.... I'm so happy Jonathan is truly a beautiful soul.

Lovely to see Mr Davis so blatantly happy. 😀
Let’s hope Korn do an untouchables tour, that would be epic!
20th anniversary

I have owned a few copies of that album through the years. Incredible album, especially the songs One More Time, Embrace, Hating, and No Ones There.

The new album is so amazing 👏 love it. I'm so appreciated for it. Thanks
Jonathan looks so happy. That brings me a lot of joy.
I am SO glad Jonathan is in a better place in his life, I teared up a little when he said that.
I became a fan when Untouchables came out and quickly binged everything b4 it. Korn is definitely on my Mt Rushmore of music. Not just Metal or Nu-Metal. Love every member, but especially JD! ❤️🔥
For me it was the Freak On A Leash music video. After that, it was all over. LOL
My two favorite members are James and Brian. They inspired me to start playing guitar back in the late 90s.
So good to see him cheesing!! He has a gorgeous smile!! ♥️✌🏻
