Great review man, even without any extra weight this racket has made a night and day difference in my game, I hit flat mostly but sometimes hit top spin and it's just perfect for that!
That was a great review! Nice to know that the new vcore pro seems to be more comfortable than the old one. The 2019 feels really stiff, despite been listed as a 64 ra rating.
so true, it was discounted and i bought it thinking i got the new one:)) so now i play with veeery demanding vcore 97 pro, and i played with head speed MP new, which felt sooo good, but i wanted to try out more precise one and willson autograph 310 g not available
Really love this review! There’s many informations exactly I needed. Some of my friends think the thicker beam, lower stiffness, and the muted feeling make this racket doesn’t like a “classic” vcore pro 97. Still hesitated to get one.
I dont think it should be about classic or modern. Classic rackets are made out of wood lol. If any features of this from this video appeal to your game, i would not hesitate to get the new one:)
@@andreysmirnov7461 Is it worth it though the upgrade they barely improved it by a lot I have the old gen and I’m planning on getting the vcore 95 instead of this one
Just tried this frame and wow!! Love it... was reluctant for a long time to try the VCore Pro line as I thought it would really lack power for my level but I actually find it really comparable to my Regna 98 in terms of power.. only more comfortable!! Has enough spin and super control!! Will stick with this one now! Just have to get used to the plush feel and maybe use a stiffer poly
I have Regna 98 and 100 , plays much more stable and comfortable. I have confidence with this racquet the I can hit hard and ball will land deep . I don’t have such a confidence with regna 98. This stick is a dream to play with with 2 handed back handed just like he said . Having said that it’s highly personal , each person swears by their stick .
Best review about the 97 Pro. I tested it against all the new Vcore and Ezone out there. And the conclusion hits it absolutely. Enough spin and power while the control was the main reason for me to switch to it. Ball pocketing is outstanding with this stick. Looking really forward to dail this stick right in to my needs. In combination with the Yonex poly tour pro this stick feels great. Looking forward to your poly toure Rev review. Great work. Keep on.
Thank you for the racket review. I am coming from the Wilson Pro Staff 97 v13 and was looking for a more arm friendly racket. I bought the VCPro 97 310 2021 and am very pleased with the flexibility of the racket. My only challenge is weighting the racket to the same specs as my Pro Staff’s. Like you, I put about 5 grommet holes of lead tape at 3 and 9. This wasn’t enough so I added the same amount at the butt of the racket. I needed more weight so I have added the same amount at 6 and in the throat. If this isn’t enough, I might move up to the D version.
Hi Lance, just saw your comment. I’m about to embark on weighting the VCP 97 2021. I also own the VCP97D but the the string bed does not offer much spin having experimented with various shaped polys. Would like to know what you settled on in terms of weight, strings and tension on your VCP97 2021 👍
Interesting review, will try this racket what string do you recommend? I use Weiss Cannon black5edge . And how does it compare to vcore 98 in terms of spin capacity and feel?
I watched this video again and paid close attention to the amount of weight that was added to his 2019 VCP 97 310g, and saw he did the same to the 2021. I’m currently on the fence with this racket having demoed it for a week now. I did a ‘blind’ purchase the VCP 97 D 2021, but found this quite sluggish, especially on serves, so returned it. Groundstrokes we’re great though, and am thinking that for me the 97D may have been a better option as no weight needs to be added to that racket, coming from an RF97A v11. I’m going to persevere with my PS97 v13 for now, and see how it goes. Update 27/11/2022: went back to the VCP97D but am also going to re-visit the VCP 97 2021 and experiment adding weight in the head and handle to bring up the swing weight and static weight closer to my VCP97D. I find I am lacking spin from the VCP97D 18x20 string bed having tried the usual suspects of Hyper-G, Confidential and even hybrids. Update:18/05/2023 The VCP97D is now gone and solely play with the VCP97 310g with weight at 3 and 9 totalling 4 grams and 4 grams in the handle as counterbalance. Experimented with strings at various tensions but finding Confidential 1.25mm at 50lbs has been working well and also a hybrid using poly tour pro yellow in the crosses. Now trying Head Hawk in the crosses in one one of my VCP97 310g as my stringer tells me that this will last longer than the Poly Tour Pro 🤞 UPDATE: 19/06/2023 Now playing this racket with just 4 grams in the handle. Weight at 3 and 9 not needed. Enough power and stability already there. Trying Solinco Tour Bite Soft at 52lbs. Plays great 👍
Just had a demo of this. Great racquet. Even with dead poly tour pro that was sitting in there for a year, my arm was fine (I usually can't handle full bed poly). Honest racquet. You get what you put in.
Fantastic review Andrey great work 👍 these rackets are awesome you can get them half price now the Percept has been released I just bought a Vcore pro 97 with Polytour Rev mint 48lb delivered all in £115 🤷♂️ ps also have the Pro 100 as back up! fantastic racket £112.50 what’s not to love 2 for the price of 1 Percept 👍
I demoed this racket, coming from a Blade 98. I didn't hate the Vcore Pro but for me it just lacks some X-Factor. It's a box frame, head light, muted. Control is great but it doesn't offer any help at all for spin or power. Cosmetic is great though.
Awesome review! Very detailed and right on the money about what's important to focus on when choosing a racket... I would really appreciate a comparison between vcore (97 & 98) and ezone models. I personally use the ezone 98 (2020) and find myself launching the ball quite often if I don't give it enough topspin. This makes me switch to a lesser flat swing and things start to fall apart. Thanks in advance! PS.: you say night and day between this and the RF but you don't specify why...
At 22 minutes in, you explain that you added weight more to the top of this model to increase the snap on your serve. This is confusing, because I would imagine this would decrease the racquet head speed, and diminish “snap”…Of course it would increase swing weight, and your ground strokes would be heavier, but on the serve, doesn’t adding weight at the head slow you down? Any kick or slice would noticeably be impacted, I would think. Thanks for your video
Good video. Could you try the D? I'm currently using the HD, really like it especially the 18x20 pattern, considering getting the new D in part because I can't find anymore HD in 4 3/8.
I tried the D and I have decided to return it because, once I put an overgrip on the handle and bumper protector tape, it weighed almost as heavy as my previous racket, the RF97A v11. This was on a grip size 4 with syn gut strings. I also learned that Yonex handles run a size bigger than other manufacturers. I found the D very sluggish. I’m going to try the 97 310g 2021. I have demoed the 2019 310g as well and Andrey’s analysis is spot on. I’m going to try the 2021 model in the next couple of weeks, as judging by Andrey’s reviews it sounds awesome!
Very detailed and comprehensive review! Thanks for putting comments about where you put weight and why. Gonna have to take this one out for a demo, because I felt like you helped me see how this could potentially fit my game! Thanks a lot!
Wow Andrey, i am really impressed by your review. Very informative insights, especially since you are a really good player! Would be interesting to hear your opinion and thoughts about Head Speed Pro 18-20 string pattern and Head Extreme Tour...
Thanks for the review. I'm thinking of buying this frame. What strings do you think would complement the VCPro 97? I normally use RPM Blast/Hurricane, or Solinco Confidential/Tour Bite in 1:25 gague on my Pure Strike.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts online for those who are considering this line-up. Because of your weight mods, I guess you also considered the VCore Pro 97D (320g, 18x20) variant. Could you share your thoughts into this particular 97D vs a modified 97?
@Bernardo, I used to play with the VCP97D and that frame needs weight in the handle to counterbalance it’s head heaviness making it feel less sluggish, but pushes the static weight above 350g strung. I ended up selling mine because it is a very demanding racket unless you’re an advanced player. I tried many different string combinations to help generate more spin but gave up and stepped down to the VCP97 310g and added weight at 3 and 9 totalling 4 grams, with 4 grams in the handle as counterweight. Static weight is circa 345g. This suits my game a bit more than the VCP97D did and I can always play around with more weight if needed. The only knock I have with the VCP97 310g is the low swing weight, but weight at 12 can solve that 👍
5:10 The low twist weight of the VCP has pros and cons. You are right, the racquet is less stable when you do not hit in the center, on the other hand, a lower twist weight correlates with more maneuverability and spin. The lower the twist weight, the more demanding the racquet.
Strings are too personal to recommend without seeing you play. Right now, in my opinion Luxilon makes the best strings on the market but they are expensive and dont last very long. Yonex has stepped up their string game a lot recently
First of all, its much more maneuverable and when playing against people who hit really hard it pays off, it has more spin and more control over depth of the ball compared to RF97. Bigger sweet spot too because of isometric shape. More snap on the serve. The list goes on why i chose to go with VCORE Pro over RF97 :)
Am playing with extreme tour, 2g added to bump the sw to 320s, often find it under powered. Tried vcore pro 97 with same confidential @52, this thing stock packs enough power for my balls to land on the baselines. Idk if i got an over spec, but this thing is fast in the air too, good spin, accuracy and power. More than the extreme tour and very comfortable, surprisingly not as muted as other yonexes. I think string plays an important factor for this frame. All in all am switching to this frame.
Personally owned the v13 and bought the new vcore pro a couple days ago. I had to sell the v13 bc it gave me arm issues but it was a solid racquet to play with. Imo the vcore pro gives me more pocketing and power and is also more comfortable than the v13. Both are solid pickups and the v13 actually had a bit more whip just not my racquet for extended play time.
Thank you! Its a hard question to answer when you consider the weight difference on two rackets) I remembered them being about same power wise but 97 being a bit more solid and numb while VCORE felt more alive
Thanks great review! Just wanted to share that I’m Demoing it myself and funny enough having exactly the opposite feelings though: comfort not even close to the PK Q Tour Pro (currently playing with), struggling on low backhands (one hand) and very low power (compared eg to another 97 like Donnay pro one Octacore I’ve demoed at the same time) 😅. Funny how racquets can feel so different to one another. Curious to hear your thoughts. Cheers!
In your honest opinion. Do you truly think that the VCORE Pro 97 310 offers more power than the Pro Staff 97 315? I'm looking for a frame that plays with the control of the Pro Staff 97 but offers a bit more pop and comfort as I've been dealing with some mild tennis elbow lately. I would be adding a few grams of lead to the tip of the VCORE 97 310 just as I do my Pro Staff 97 315. I'm trying to decide if it's worth the purchase or not. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Chad, i remembered these two rackets being about same power wise and remember a lot of power can come from the string of choice as well. Pro Staff 93 315 might be a bit more powerful but its negligible. The 2021 VCORE is waaay easier on the arm though in my opinion though thats not a concern to me.
How do you compare the Vcore pro 97 vs Vcore 95 (2021) ? Which one feels better. I am left-handed player, I hit forehands with lots of spin, one handed-backhand sometimes flat, sometimes with some spin.
Nice high toss and motion like Herbert 👍. Am playing the vcore 98 2021 but ordered one of these for my 40 year old shoulder. Hope it’s softer flex like listed and you say.
Please do more reviews! You are the best reviewer on TH-cam- hands down! 👍🏼👍🏼 could you review the Wilson Blade 98 V.8? Would love to hear your opinion:)))
Loving the 97H, just needs stiffer strings with the added flex and dampening like yonex recommends. The Poly tour pro I have in right now is too soft. Excited to throw in some mayami tour hex, poly tour rev, or lynx tour next.
Great review!! i'm currently using Ezone 98 Tour and sometimes i struggle with my one-handed back hand. What do you think this racket compare to Ezone 98 Tour? Thanks!
@@LifeIsGoodThankYouGod for a pure beginner might be an overkill and vcore Pro 100 could be better but in my opinion, i would still recommend just getting a normal version
Thank you for the great review, Andrey. Very helpful. I have been searching for a new advanced intermediate racket for a while (tried Vcore 95, Vcore 98, Ezone 98 Tour, Babolat Pure Strike 97), and recently landed on the 2021 VCore Pro 97 310. My initial impressions are very aligned with your and your review gives my confidence that I have made the right choice. What string set up do you use? (BTW, you have beautiful smooth strokes that are an inspiration to watch.)
Great video man! Could you briefly explain your thought process on why Vcore 98 is better than VCP 97 for one handed backhand? I’m considering VCP 97, Ezone 98, Vcore 98, pure strike 98. Using ezone 100 now. Thank you!!
great review thanks. did you think about the ycore pro 97D that is slightly heavier. 340g vs 326g.or is that too heavy? question the 97D says the swing weight is 330g vs 318 for the 97, so how much heavier is than on the arm and for maneuverability? thanks in advance
@Andrew Smriov, what i quoted above are the absolute weights of the 97 and 97D. The swing weights are calibrated as 318g and 330g. Given you added 16g to the 2019 version, it would appear that the 97D would be pre-assembled to be perfectly suited. what do you think? Also a question: If one adds say 8g at 9-3 clock positions to a racket, does that translate in about an 8g increase in swing weight? Or is there some average factor one applies to that 8g? what is the factor if 8g added at 9-3 or 10-2, or at 12 O'clock. Any rough factor that can be used to translate into swing weight? Thanks in advance.
@@stevenjo i need to try to hit with Gravity Tour. My guess is that these two will feel very different. Head racket has 18 main strings where VCORE has 16. Also i think Vcore could be less “plush” than Head. But i expect VCORE to have better spin and feel
I am using a Head extreme tour and hit with a lot of topspin. I like the feel of the extreme tour. I can’t demo the VCORE pro but am interested so I’m buying one through tennis warehouse so I can always return it and get 65 percent refund. But, going back to my comment do you find the VCORE pro a good racket for modern strokes and topspin on forehand and backhand? Also their is a video review from tennis guy and he loves the VCORE pro and uses black code. I will try that string and also tourna silver 7 tour. And maybe a few more like Weiss cannon black5edge and yonex poly tour spin.
Hi Andrey, what are the final specifications of your new Vcore Pro 97 2021 racket, did you add the same 16 grams of lead at 3 and 9 or did you need less? great content by the way.
I added only 8 grams. 2021 version defiently does not need as much weight as 2019, i would even argue that it does not need weight at all but i prefer a more of a head heavy racket
@@andreysmirnov7461 Excellent Aandrey, I am trying to switch from the Blade v7 18x20 to the Vcore 95, I love the plow through and power of the Blade but I struggle with the high swingweight and head heavy balance in my one handed backhand. my second option will definitely be the new Vcore 97 thanks to videos like yours. Cheers
Hello ! Big fan of your channel. I tried the new vcore 97pro 310 . Coming from a pure drive I love the stability and increased plow through it gives me. However , I cannot whip it as fast and I feel that it’s slightly too heavy for me. Do u think over time this will be better for me than the pure drive or should I try the vcore pro 100 ? I’m around a nrtp 4.0 player
Hi, thanks a lot! I think 310 grams is very light, im surprised that you feel its heavy. 4.0 is a good level and i think professional racket will help you get to the next level at this point. I would not go for 100, that is for more like 3.0 players who are also older and starting tennis for the first time. Hope that helps
@@andreysmirnov7461 Thank you! I will try again to move up slowly. I feel my techinque is still causing me to hit late and too close to my body. I find that with the vcore pro I need to swing through more rather than how i like to whip up with my pure drive. Appreciate the advise and keep making more videos!
@@garlicbread68 try to relax your body as much as possible especially wrist. Let the racket do the job for you and whip the ball. In tennis more is less, to hit the ball harder you actually have to do less
I been using the vcore pro 97 2017 (blue one) and need to buy a new one. My only nock on that racket is that it lacks a little bit of power (even with led). I am considering the ezone or vcore 98 but you made me think that maybe the new version of the Vcore pro can be perfect. I´m looking for more easy depth and more power on "put away balls".
never played with 2017 but 2021 feels more powerful than 2019. Also, its much easier to get depth on the balls with 2021 and in the video i provided some of the stats that showed that my average ball depth is higher with 2021 VCORE 97. As far as power to put away balls, i think thats not exactly the correct way to think about it. You should be putting balls away by taking time away from your opponent to get to them instead of hitting 200mph forehands from the baseline :)
This is a great video. Loved the parts about groundstrokes and how you felt constructing points. I also currently the 2019 Vcore pro 310 with lead at 9, 3 because of the same reasons you were talking about with the racket feeling unstable. I've also noticed that my 2 handed backhand needs to be perfect and just re-directing balls doesn't work with the 2019 VCore Pro. Is the 2021 VCore Pro more forgiving for in terms of more defensive, more redirecting hits or is this more of a need a full swing all the time like the 2019 VCore Pro?
When redirecting i was thinking more of offense than defense. It somehow has a little bit more plow through effect than 2019, and possible because of extra flex it is easier to change direction of the ball aggressively
and imagine how i struggle with 1 handed backhand!! haha and i am not a pro only 4 years into tennis, and i was doing very well with head speed mp new one with thicker beam. But i think playing with less forgiving racquet makes you eventually much better player, i will go back to bigger head size or new vcore97:))
I have the EZone 98 2020 model. I was doubtful but when I learned it was made in Japan. I know I had to try this since japanese products are good quality. I have lost ONE match since I've gotten the racket.
I’m demo-ing this racket now and I love the feel and spin! Flat serves were not as powerful but the kick/slice serves were so spiny and easy to generate racket head speed. How do I increase the SW while preserving the 7 pts HL? It needs a tad more stability and plow though
Well i think its impossible to not affect balance when increasing swing weight. Maybe if you fill the handle with some silicone and put some additional weight at 9 and 3 but i have never tried that
@@andreysmirnov7461 Makes sense. Also, I heard that the Yonex grip sizes are a little thicker compared to other brands? I"m not sure which is thicker, the actual replacement grip itself of the bean underneath the grip. I just demo-ed this racket and it is amazing! Like what you said, it needs a little weight to help with plow through.
@@kevo99able i did not notice that grip size is any different. When compared to rackets with leather grip then maybe a little bit thicker but you can always change it to leather grip
@@andreysmirnov7461 Would be interesting to get your take on the new babolat pure aero. Perhaps not a racquet for you and your style, but they are making the string pattern more dense which is supposed to increase control quite alot. Also, the racquet is supposed to offer more feel than before.
Also I find it hard to find that balance between power and control. Too much control and it's really difficult to hurt the opponent... and with too much power you hit more winners but have more unforced errors. What is your thought processes about this balance between control and power?
The thought process is to try out as many racket as you can:) In my opinion its not as simple as more power = more winners. Racket is a tool that is used to amplify strength in your tennis game style and smooth out weakness. So start with analyzing your own game and then use that knowledge to pick the racket
@Andrew Smriov, what i quoted above are the absolute weights of the 97 and 97D. The swing weights are calibrated as 318g and 330g. Thanks in advance.
Adding weight is done not to make a racket heavier but to tweak its properties and tune it a little bit. For example 2019 version is unstable so adding weight at 9 and 3 makes it perfect. Right now i still added 8g to my 2021 VCORE but this time more to like 10 and 1 so a little less weight but more forward biased. That helps me with this specific version because i no longer need as much stability. I tried the H and D versions of 2021 too, i really liked the D and highly considered getting that instead but i honestly could not figure out which one is better for me in the end so i just sticked with 310. The D version was more pleasant to hit very big but lacks spin and pocketing. H version is just too heavy
Thanks for the great and well-informed review, Andrey! Do you think there is a string setup that could counteract the very muted feel a little bit? If so, any recommendations? Thanks!
Thanks, Alec! Its a hard question to answer. In my opinion, string should not be picked to counteract the muted feel because string is the only thing that touches the ball therefore its important to pick it based on playability rather than "feedback". I think you kind of get used to the muted feel of the racket over time anyway
@@andreysmirnov7461 Thanks for the reply! This approach makes more sense. Please let me know if you recommend any strings for the 2021 vcore pro 97 and the core 95 when you try it. Thanks!
It only needs about 2 or 3g in the hoop at 12 position to increase the swing weight it does not need weight at 9 and 3 positions as its already stable and you will lose feel from the string bed adding too much lead tape.
Eh i dont like weight at 12. It creates a weird feeling when hitting normal strokes. Its good for serve but thats about it, for the rest of the strokes it does more bad than good. Also the weight was to increase stability, not to add swing-weight necessarily
Excellent review 10/10. So why you chose vcore pro 97 over vcore 95? I am vcore sv 95 (customized) user and never try vcore pro 97 but want something from yonex 97 square inch head with 16/20.
So back in 2020 when i was picking a racket the two finalists were the VCORE 95 and VCORE PRO 97. I kept hitting with those two rackets for like 2 weeks because i could not decide which one to move forward. Back then i did not have an opportunity to play as much tennis as i do now and concluded that if i were to play every day then i would go with the 95, however because i thought i wont be able to be playing every day, i went with the 97. 97 also felt better for my backhand. I also know that there is a new VCORE 95 out there and i heard that its also a huge step forward compared to previous generation
@@andreysmirnov7461 Thanks for response. Vcore 95 is perfect racquet for my forhand and serve but I struggle on 2H backhand and volleys. I see your old 97 loaded at 3 and 9, was it ths same when you played it in the video? Cause with led on the sides, the plough through should be huge, but still the new 97 seems much more powerful. Or wss it customised to your specs as well? Last q, what strings and tention do you use? Thanks for the great review
When comparing 2 rackets, i took all of the weight off from old 97 and played with it for 3 days to get used to it. Then played with new 97 without weight for better comparison. Then i added weight at 9 and 3 to the new one but 50% less than on the old one and new one does not need as much. I play with Poly Tour Spin on mains and Poly Tour pro on cross at 53/51
@@dimitrisblatsios4706 thats a hard one. To me the ezone was just more powerful and more like a bazooka. Versus 97 pro being more a bit more like AR-15. A little bit more precise but still can do some damage just with more shots. With EZONE i just wanted to slap the ball while 97 pro suited my gamestyle a bit more
Hey! Yes i actually did try it but with a different string. Its definitely more suited for advanced player. I dont know if i should make a full video about it but in short: much less spin, very good for big flat shots, insane control, really good stability and pop on the serve but not as much pocketing. Very nice feel for dropshots and volleys. Less manuvreable and harder to hit angles than with 310
Could you tell the pros and cons between the 97 and the 97 D . I currently use a 97 HD but I usually rotate among this and Orince textreme tour or even a ezone 98. Id like to Know why do you think the new 97 is a better option . thank you
The hd weight is 320 unstrung and it really requires big swings to get the ball moving. Not a lot of free power. I found it tough to maneuver at the net as well. Also the string pattern 18x20 will give more control than the 16x19. I think you should consider a 16x19 version and pay attention to a weight that fits you?

Thanks for the only comprehensive review for this racket! Answered all of my questions!
Oh wow thats a great feedback! Thank you very much!
No way it's better than regna? Everyone says regna is best yonex ever made
I have Regna 98 and 100 , plays much more stable and comfortable. I have confidence with this racquet the I can hit hard and ball will land deep . I don’t have such a confidence with regna 98. This stick is a dream to play with with 2 handed back handed just like he said . Having said that it’s highly personal , each person swears by their stick .
Definitely needs a stiff poly at a 52lbs tension to counter that 60 flex 👍
Would like to know what you settled on in terms of weight, strings and tension on your VCP97 2021 👍
that was a very good review! also played with wilson 97 l, moved to vcore 97 pro. and this video answers a lot of my questions. отличная работа!
Thanks a lot!
I love the thin beam as well, but I don't like flexible beams; I like them thin and stiff.
Update:18/05/2023
The VCP97D is now gone and solely play with the VCP97 310g with weight at 3 and 9 totalling 4 grams and 4 grams in the handle as counterbalance. Experimented with strings at various tensions but finding Confidential 1.25mm at 50lbs has been working well and also a hybrid using poly tour pro yellow in the crosses. Now trying Head Hawk in the crosses in one one of my VCP97 310g as my stringer tells me that this will last longer than the Poly Tour Pro 🤞
UPDATE: 19/06/2023
Now playing this racket with just 4 grams in the handle. Weight at 3 and 9 not needed. Enough power and stability already there. Trying Solinco Tour Bite Soft at 52lbs. Plays great 👍
That's some nice strokes, love the gradual accelerated motions!
Looking for a replacement for my dear old Rdis 100 98. I think this racket will be.
Excellent review mate!
Thanks for the review. Did you test the Vcore 97 D? If yes, why did you choose this one over the D?
you start considering beam thickness once you start playing in windy conditions and then you start to notice how your racket travels through the air.
I demoed this racket, coming from a Blade 98. I didn't hate the Vcore Pro but for me it just lacks some X-Factor. It's a box frame, head light, muted. Control is great but it doesn't offer any help at all for spin or power. Cosmetic is great though.
I’m in the same position, coming from blade I can’t get used to it… unfortunately I bought one and now can’t sell it

@@andreysmirnov7461 Haha 😝 fair enough!
I’m buying this, just demoed, so good.
Try the easy one 98 first 👍 ezone 98 👌
Great review, very comprehensive and has helped with my decision making to try out the VC Pro 310. Thanks.
Im glad you liked the review! I might be reviewing the D version next, i tried it and its a very interesting racket!
Good video. Could you try the D? I'm currently using the HD, really like it especially the 18x20 pattern, considering getting the new D in part because I can't find anymore HD in 4 3/8.
If you’re in the US, Tennis Warehouse has them in stock. You may also want to try eBay. I just bought 2 new HDs in 4 3/8 on it. 👍🏻😀
Yes, actually before me ordering the 97 PRO i want to try the D as well
I tried the D and I have decided to return it because, once I put an overgrip on the handle and bumper protector tape, it weighed almost as heavy as my previous racket, the RF97A v11.
@@bsinghgill My HD weighs 347g with over-grip, dampener and 2g of lead split across 10 and 2oclock.

@@andreysmirnov7461 I am considering buying the new VCP 97 310. Just doing some additional research and getting more feedback from other users.
The only knock I have with the VCP97 310g is the low swing weight, but weight at 12 can solve that 👍
Thanks for the review, I’m dying to try this raque
5:10 The low twist weight of the VCP has pros and cons. You are right, the racquet is less stable when you do not hit in the center, on the other hand, a lower twist weight correlates with more maneuverability and spin. The lower the twist weight, the more demanding the racquet.
How would you compare this one to the Vcore 95 2023, considering that they would be similarly weighted up? Thanks!
I'm convinced! What string Config you recommend
Strings are too personal to recommend without seeing you play. Right now, in my opinion Luxilon makes the best strings on the market but they are expensive and dont last very long. Yonex has stepped up their string game a lot recently
Excellent review. Really helpful, thank you
the rf97 is better compared to the 330g version of the vcore pro. the regular prostaff at 310g would be a better comparison
Great review! Will buy.
Cool review… There is some noise in the back ground tough. Like a printer or a hard drive.
You mentioned "night and day" you much prefer the yonex over the rf97 but Why??
First of all, its much more maneuverable and when playing against people who hit really hard it pays off, it has more spin and more control over depth of the ball compared to RF97. Bigger sweet spot too because of isometric shape. More snap on the serve. The list goes on why i chose to go with VCORE Pro over RF97 :)
Love your style Andrey.. beautiful technique
Thank you! Still needs some work
@@andreysmirnov7461 how long u been playing ? U had much coaching ?

Am playing with extreme tour, 2g added to bump the sw to 320s, often find it under powered. Tried vcore pro 97 with same confidential @52, this thing stock packs enough power for my balls to land on the baselines. Idk if i got an over spec, but this thing is fast in the air too, good spin, accuracy and power. More than the extreme tour and very comfortable, surprisingly not as muted as other yonexes. I think string plays an important factor for this frame. All in all am switching to this frame.
Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on 2021 97D .also If ever get the chance head prestige tour 95 2021.
im using a pure aero, i demoed the 320g one and loved it. should i go for this 310g version?
Nice job! Do you think the Wilson 97 you used before is more powerful than the yonex vecore pro?
Personally owned the v13 and bought the new vcore pro a couple days ago. I had to sell the v13 bc it gave me arm issues but it was a solid racquet to play with. Imo the vcore pro gives me more pocketing and power and is also more comfortable than the v13. Both are solid pickups and the v13 actually had a bit more whip just not my racquet for extended play time.
Thank you! Its a hard question to answer when you consider the weight difference on two rackets) I remembered them being about same power wise but 97 being a bit more solid and numb while VCORE felt more alive
Thanks Andrey. Great video!
Thank you!
What forehand grip do you use? Eastern, semi western ,western?
Something between semi-western and eastern
Thanks great review! Just wanted to share that I’m Demoing it myself and funny enough having exactly the opposite feelings though: comfort not even close to the PK Q Tour Pro (currently playing with), struggling on low backhands (one hand) and very low power (compared eg to another 97 like Donnay pro one Octacore I’ve demoed at the same time) 😅. Funny how racquets can feel so different to one another. Curious to hear your thoughts. Cheers!
Great review! Would love you to review the Ezone 98 Tour
Thank you, will try to find one :)
You play amazing but you should mention strings and tension..that changes everything
Nice high toss and motion like Herbert 👍. Am playing the vcore 98 2021 but ordered one of these for my 40 year old shoulder. Hope it’s softer flex like listed and you say.
lol you speak as if 40 y is soo old haha

Thank you for the great review, Andrey. Very helpful. I have been searching for a new advanced intermediate racket for a while (tried Vcore 95, Vcore 98, Ezone 98 Tour, Babolat Pure Strike 97), and recently landed on the 2021 VCore Pro 97 310. My initial impressions are very aligned with your and your review gives my confidence that I have made the right choice. What string set up do you use? Great video. How does it work for single handed backhand players?
Thank a lot! 310 should be good for one handed backhands but in my opinion VCORE 98 and especially 95 is better suited for one handers

@@andreysmirnov7461 Head gravity tour. I like the plush feeling so think VCP 97 310 will provide the same but with better maneuverability
@@stevenjo i need to try to hit with Gravity Tour. My guess is that these two will feel very different. Head racket has 18 main strings where VCORE has 16. Also i think Vcore could be less “plush” than Head. But i expect VCORE to have better spin and feel

You should be putting balls away by taking time away from your opponent to get to them instead of hitting 200mph forehands from the baseline :)
vcore 95 is really good also
This is a great video.
Did we ever actually learn if he switched to this frame? its a little cryptic
Yes i did upgrade all my rackets to this
I have the EZone 98 2020 model. I was doubtful but when I learned it was made in Japan. I know I had to try this since japanese products are good quality. I have lost ONE match since I've gotten the racket.
Very nice review video, well done. Perhaps I missed it, but are you switching to the new version or not?
Will you replace 2018 VCP310g to this one ? Do we deserve it ?
I want to play a little more with 2021 but i think im 99% committed to switch, just need to buy the new one now
I’m demo-ing this racket now and I love the feel and spin!
Hey Andrey, why don’t you review more racquets? :)
Haha idk work has been keeping me waaay too busy, what racket would you be interested to see a review of?
@@andreysmirnov7461 thank you ! Will do.
Hi and thx for the review, question: for a one hand backhand, do you think the vcore 95 is more suited or the 2 are pretty similar?
Very hard question to be honest:) 95 might be a bit better because it moves through the air faster so its easier to accelerate
@@andreysmirnov7461
Thx for your reply, in the meantime I opted for the vcore pro 97 and so far I'm very, very happy with it, your review is spot on!
Are main strings longer? New raket looks wider at top of raket
Isn’t your 2019 version modified? It looked like you had added lead tape. Are you comparing the new one with the same customization ?
No, i took all the weight off my 2019 version and played with it for like 3 days and then did the comparison
Friend’s ezone 98 and speed pro suites my backand and volleys better but I can’t play with them overall so I’m interesting in vcore pro 310 or vcore pro D. Have to demo vcore pro line up.
Keep going Andrey 👍🏻💪🏻
@@TheXkofix thats exactly how i felt too! 95 was amazing for my forehand but i struggled on the backhand a bit. I want to try the 2021 version tbh. 95 would work amazing for people with one handed backhand though
@@andreysmirnov7461 if you ever demo vcore pro D or new vcore 95 please review and compare with your sticks
@@TheXkofix will do!
I play with Poly Tour Spin on mains and Poly Tour pro on cross at 53/51
@@andreysmirnov7461 makes sense. Thanks a lot. How would you compare the new 97 to the ezone 98Tour?
@@dimitrisblatsios4706 thats a hard one. To me the ezone was just more powerful and more like a bazooka. Versus 97 pro being more a bit more like AR-15. A little bit more precise but still can do some damage just with more shots. With EZONE i just wanted to slap the ball while 97 pro suited my gamestyle a bit more
Thank you!
bro any thoughts on the denser 97D version?
Thank you, Andrey! Have you had a chance to try the D version, how does it compare to 310?
Less manuvreable and harder to hit angles than with 310
@@andreysmirnov7461 a full video would be great!
Please review vcore pro 97 D
Interesting with new pro staff 97 v13
Strings and tension please?
Do you think pro 100 suits for my one-handed backhand thx
Could you tell the pros and cons between the 97 and the 97 D . I currently use a 97 HD but I usually rotate among this and Orince textreme tour or even a ezone 98. Id like to Know why do you think the new 97 is a better option . thank you
The hd weight is 320 unstrung and it really requires big swings to get the ball moving. Not a lot of free power. I found it tough to maneuver at the net as well. Also the string pattern 18x20 will give more control than the 16x19. I think you should consider a 16x19 version and pay attention to a weight that fits you?
Nice video - Did I miss the “verdict” is he switching?
I am 99% sure i am switching. It plays better than 2019 version for sure.
@@andreysmirnov7461 cool - I use the blue 2018 version...and just obtained a used 2019 Green frame...I don't find the frames harsh at all, the 64 RA feels much more cushioned than the Vcore 98(2021) I had been using earlier.
Keep up the solid content!!
@@steveklurfeld4412 thanks! Which strings are you using?
Hi. Can you compare it to the regular wilson prostaff 97 V13 and not the RF97? Also with the wilson blade V6 without the countervail which was released early 2021? Thanks.
Yeah i played with prostaff 97 and i feel like a lot of the things still hold true minus the weight. RF97 would prob be better compared to the 97 H

Do any of your pals play one handed backhand with It? I play vcore pro d but Now i am playing on clay and thinking about open my pattern but don't know if the flex would damage my OHB. Thanks for your very useful review, hope see you more times hitting like this👌🏽
Thank a lot! I think this and VCORE (98 or 95) are perfect rackets for 1 handed backhand from Yonex. Have you tried the VCORE 95?
@@andreysmirnov7461 you already knew it, yeah it"s my racquet , but now I've switched my club and mostly, I play on clay courts now and I find it a very demanding racquet for this surface, my best shots now are not enough many times and having to do them so many times makes my game a little risky when I compete with pure aero's and drives players. Thanks for your wise answer
The new VCORE PRO 310 has been amazing for my 1HBH. In my first practice session with it, I did not miss a single ball for the first 20 minutes. Actually, it was an improvement for me over VCORE 95 (2021). Easy pace, spin, excellent height and trajectory, get the ball consistently deep. Great connection and feel on BH side for me. It's very maneuverable, great for running topspin BH and passing shots. The only shortcoming is that I have so much success hitting topspin BH that I forgot how to hit my slice. :-)
