I'm really happy you showed that this can be done. It allows newbs, like me, that you can start small and work your way up to investing in the injector, but that the injection molds are not useless without an injector. Good stuff!
since i use more swimbaits than anything, i’m probably gonna order those top fill swimbaits. i got some neat colors in mind. the dead on pink with their green. both those colors work in my waters and should make for an interesting mix. another brilliant video man loved it!
World's Worst Fishing now heres a question ive been pondering. would heating the mold up with a torch or other heat source before pouring help the plastic flow into the lower cavities of those worm molds? if it cools down too quickly that could be something to help.
Always entertaining buddy! I like the black and green worm the too. The one with more green than black is my favorite! Can’t wait until the next video. Appreciate ya!
Like green and black is my favorite color combo in general so also in baits for sure. I have some really cool silver star shaped glitter that I think would look really cool in a swirled galaxy color scheme. 🤔
GREAT IDEA FOR A VIDEO!!!!!! You have answered a question that has been swirling around in my head. I have been wondering if this would work, I have some worms that I want to melt down, and pour into a larger size mold. Do I need to add anything, or can I just do a remelt, of my skinny worms and pour the hot results into a senko mold?
@@WorldsWorstFishing I'll need it hahahaha. They have to manufacture it before sending it out so I'm willing to bet it may take a full month at the very least for me to get one with all this coronavirus
Chris, I'm curious if you got the griddle out and pre heated the frog mold .. would it work better? Could you do punch bugs with a heated mold? Awesome video as always, thanks for the knowledge and entertainment.
Good vid I’ve been hand pouring half the mold (sinko) then inject diff colors on top don’t have the duel injector yet it does work just time consuming you could skin pour some of the swim baits then inject maybe a vid as well thanks
Awesome video! I am so pumped up and excited to start hand pouring some of my molds! Would pouring in a hot mold or on a hot plate help? Maybe worth a shot. Keep it up man! 👍🏼
Have you ever looked at a milk frother to mix up pigments??? The knife method looks good but the milk frother would be good to mix it up quickly if you were in a rush
question like that .. im a machinist and im planning making a mold for stick worm .. but for hand pouring i will cnc my worm at a 30% angle soo it will be easyer for the plastic to flow all the way because i will not use pressure like injection .. is that a good idea ??? sorry for my english
After watching some of your videos, and then the way you started this vid, I was thinking about a weird injection method- using a top down bait mold and using the double injector you would slowly spin the mold while injecting the plastic getting a barber pole type pour. Prolly useless for fishing but would look really cool, if possible.
Great vids as always. I have the AI 4in swimbait with top injection ports for each. I still have issues getting this mold to laminate properly. Great single color baits with the eyeball mold though.
I grew up fishing a GRAPE curly tail worm - 6". I had so much confidence in them. I could ALWAYS catch a fish. ALAS, it seems that GRAPE has been lost forever. The purple you used reminded me of it but it's not GRAPE!
Wonder if you can put it on a hot plate like you do the open pour swimbaits and keep the plastic cool enough to finish those finesse worms you had? Just a thought
It looked my the liquid pigment in the first worms was extra thick at the beginning, maybe that’s why there was a green piece left. Also, you should use one of the marbled pour spouts that you typically remelt to try and catch a fish! Haha
Hands down the swimbaits were sweet, I fish a lot with a lot of friends if you have spare baits and random stuff I’d like to buy a variety pack. I’m sure you have bunches laying around I don’t mind paying for a box of variety it would be cool to try some of your stuff out along with the crazy and cool colors.
The ones at 19 minutes have a super familiar feel to an old Senko-style bait I use to fish that was more of a mustard yellow/ watermelon "cow" pattern. Super killer to fish weightless wacky rigged.
Love these!!! How can I order these from you? My husband would love these, just as much as I do!! I love your channel and you're so very talented!!! Tight lines🐟
Does it matter which way the measuring cup is held when pouring compared to the direction the plastic is flowing? If parallel; less color mixing? Perpendicular; more color mixing?
I can tell you not to use the microwave in your house it smell like hell and I wouldn't recommend using it for food after it will taste like hell also. But really it dose take a hole lot I carved a swim bait out of some balsa wood and made a mold with silicone mold with stuff from hobby lobby and poured with old plastic bait that were junk. You should check out marling baits on TH-cam make almost all his own stuff it's real cool.
i think your supposed to keep it as still as possible so it goes in evenly and get the green better the other time you shaked little to much mixed basicaly the black with the green on the way in
If you crack the molds in half and then hand pour you can get a laminate, if you have say something like a frog mold with thin legs you could pour a belly color then inject the rest
I think for hand pouring these injection molds, the mold should be heated up to 350 or so the keep that plastic moving...I would think, I have no clue really, I just started, but I can't imagine that heating the mold wouldn't help.
Which were your favorite?? Thanks for watching!
The first ones that you made were great!
Black and green then the last ones turned out awesome. Should try some black and orange they should swirl great
Swirled senko was awesome! So much could be done with that
That laminate attempt looked really cool along with that brighter green second run
Definitely liked the worms.
*I used to fish with a Crippled Killer growing up in the 50/60’s and **enjoyable.fishing** recommend think this lure gas a smoother propeller action. It is a great surface lure.*
the first worms with the dead on plastics lime look like wood grain, really cool looking
Yeah u are right about that
I'm really happy you showed that this can be done. It allows newbs, like me, that you can start small and work your way up to investing in the injector, but that the injection molds are not useless without an injector. Good stuff!
certain ones work well
It’s spike from Instagram just wanted to say thank you again for the recommendation and all the help
Thanks for watching!
You inspired me to buy my first mold and I got some dead on plastic on the way, can't wait to catch a fish with a bait I made myself!
helllllll yeah
I’ve been doing it for three years now! It’s still addicting!
Great insight for beginners as well as the most experienced bait makers out there.
Those last bloodline swimbaits with a black bloodline rather than a green one would make a great baby bass imitation. Great video as usual!
yeah big time baby bass!
@@WorldsWorstFishing I airbrush hard baits and do a baby bass pattern that looks very similar. Ready to start pouring soft plastics now.
You’re a mad scientist .. but killing it 🤘🤘🤘
thx preston
The really bright green was great, it looked like predator blood
If it bleeds, we can kill it
Watching these videos made me get into soft plastic making
so glad to hear!

It's an awesome mold..he has it in 4,5 and 6"

Really Great Show Chris and the Green was the Bomb Love the way the Blood line Show up , Tight Lines My Friend
hey thanks bud
Interesting way to do it. Green and black but liked that blue color turned out nice. Thanks for the lesson.

i wanna get some star glitter ha
That purple and blue looks amazing completely jealous and need to start making my own
Jump in!
The second one with brighter green almost looks like wood grain. EPIC!!
haha yeah it does!
I would like to see you trying to catch a fish using the runner for the bait.
Man that Purple was a cool color, but I think my favorite was that watermelon laminated over the pearl bottom
thanks Nick
The stick worms came out sweet. Gonna definetly give it a try

Have you revisited this and tried to pour some of the harder molds on the hot plate?
Dumb question but how did you do the divider cup for the stick worms
Have you ever tried to pour side walls on the blood line series then inject it to add another layer element as well as another color?

Extra heat never hurts
Can't wait to get my blood line molds in ordered them 2 weeks ago with some other molds from bts and do it molds
Hell yeah
Where did you get that divider for the pyrex?
What brand plastic do you use? Also for the senkos do you use soft or medium?

tnku master i have learn so much whit your videos very soon i will have my Mold to directly from eangling AI and Deat on Plastic

it doesnt swirl the way you think it will
Damn!! But it woulda been cool
Beautiful baits but I Was wondering if you heated up your molds if the plastic would flow further into your molds
it probably would..but wanted to show that you can do it without the heat
Great vids as always. I have the AI 4in swimbait with top injection ports for each. I still have issues getting this mold to laminate properly.
Great single color baits with the eyeball mold though.
Would heating the molds and maybe angling them so the plastic runs down hill in the worms help. Just a thought I had while watching
I grew up fishing a GRAPE curly tail worm - 6". I had so much confidence in them. I could ALWAYS catch a fish. ALAS, it seems that GRAPE has been lost forever. The purple you used reminded me of it but it's not GRAPE!
you can get black grape color and use it lightly and get an old school grape worm..give it a try!
Awesome job on the baits
Glad you enjoyed
where did you get your finesse crawler injection mold?
Wonder if you can put it on a hot plate like you do the open pour swimbaits and keep the plastic cool enough to finish those finesse worms you had? Just a thought
it might help for sure!
I wonder how little squeeze bottles would work with drawing patterns on skin pours, would it work like a pen?
no idea
Those green and black senkos look killer!
they actually came out nice ha

I like those first ones alot. I'm ok with the black swallowing the green a bit. More of a natural feel.
Loved the green swirl but I thank i like the swim baits better
Good choice!
How do you get weight in your senkos I make my own but no matter how much salt I use they don’t like to sink
It looked my the liquid pigment in the first worms was extra thick at the beginning, maybe that’s why there was a green piece left. Also, you should use one of the marbled pour spouts that you typically remelt to try and catch a fish! Haha

Why are my hand poured baits cloudy. Is it the release agent or just the mold. Player of Paris mold
Chris, how long do you put your plastics in the bath?
Thank you answered my question I’m just starting and was gonna wait to buy a injector because of how expensive they are thank you
Glad I could help
What would happen if you preheated your mould just before you poured the frogs?
Great video where did u get that cup Divider at
What temperature would u recommend for the Plastisol to be at while hand pouring injection molds?
Chris bring your molds up to temp before pouring. Should work fine.
I think if green was hotter few degree would over power black , what do u think
love those green ones
That blue in a core shot with the clear and copper flake that be a pretty bait
dude a great idea!

Maybe heating up the mold with a heat gun before pouring? Idk I’ve never done this. I plan on it.
keep it up and you might not get your laundry done for you much longer 😅 nice baits tho thanks for demonstrating the potential for this method!
hehe
Kinda weird at how fun that was to watch. Gonna make for some weird re-melts too.
You should do the black and green in a craw bait
Make a video on the colors bluecrawl or pb&j
ive done both! check em out

Why not preheat the molds on your hot plate to get the plastic to flow further on the molds with more limbs or pockets?
Have you thought about warming up the molds when you are hand pouring?
I do that every time when I am pouring an actual open pour mold
Does it matter which way the measuring cup is held when pouring compared to the direction the plastic is flowing? If parallel; less color mixing? Perpendicular; more color mixing?
it probably does...im still learning of course
Could you put the frog mold on the heating plate?
might help a little but gravity will prevent it

is the bath just water to cool them down ?
I'd like to see you catch a fish with the waste piece/runner. That would be funny. Just a chunky cylinder on a hook.
Maybe you could use a “plunger” to push into the hole to push the plastic into the smaller parts. Just a thought.
you could...but I wanted to see which ones would truly hand pour
i think your supposed to keep it as still as possible so it goes in evenly and get the green better the other time you shaked little to much mixed basicaly the black with the green on the way in
