Knowing that you're paying $400 a month to stay with your friends, grandmother is not very useful information for anyone else. unless we can all stay at your friend's grandmother's place.
Haha it is true, but was hoping it can give you a sense of how similar private rooms in the area might be priced. Had some friends find similar places for the same price :)
@@Eddie_He Kudos 🤙 for staying positive in answering this "fella's" question. Appreciate the time n effort you took to make this vid. Best of luck to you in all your endeavors Eddie !!! I was hoping to get an overview of Cumbaya, including some of its neighborhoods, shopping areas, hospitals, theaters, parks, hiking trails (if any), and housing. And your video did indeed touch on these things to some degree. But I confess I was hoping for a bit more. I'm glad that you included some shots of your apartment (or condo) as an example of the kind of place one might have in Cumbaya, but where you lost me is in the level of detail you took us through in your walk-in closet. Don't get me wrong - I think it's useful to see the storage space available, including closets, shelving, etc. But did you really think your viewers would be captivated by seeing your jackets, shirts, shoes, etc? I think it's a bit bizarre that you made a point to call those things to our attention (as opposed to just giving us an overall view of the closet and then moving on to other things). Just as you showed us the kitchen, but you didn't open all its drawers and cabinets, you could do likewise for closets. Just a suggestion on my part for you to consider for future videos. (I'm planning to move from Minneapolis to Cumbaya.)
You're totally right Jeff! I appreciate the candidness - will learn from it! (Think original thought was to show viewers a little bit about myself and what I own might highlight that but realizing you guys don't really care haha)
@@Eddie_He, well, actually, I like the personal touch to your videos. I don't expect you to make documentaries. I know you are not employed at the Ecuador Tourism Bureau. Ha ha. Your own personality is part of what makes your videos unique. Also, I realize that it takes time and resources to give an overview of a community. So what you could do is give your viewers a sample of Cumbayá in a series of videos. Perhaps this is what you have in mind anyway. As you yourself explore different parts of the Tumbaco Valley and of Quito as a whole, you can take us with you in different videos. I look forward to other videos from you in the future!
Is there a service or resource you know of that helps you find "homestays" like this? Other than air bnb's. Do local realtors know of these places?....Thanks! And great video!
$ 400 for that is a steal! I live in San Francisco and a place like that would cost $ 8k per month. I was considering relocating to Ecuador but I heard its not best since crime has really went up.
I brought it from the states - it's considered a carry-on. I had it and a 40 liter backpack. But you can also definitely get one around here for a reasonable price too
Hello dear is it 400 usd for all the home or you are sharing the money with your mates who are living with you? How much total cost you? did u get it furnished?
@@Eddie_He 100% , I 'm from the area and I have been to some that are just awe inspiring. Not to hate on it but just so people know that actually, there is much more bouginess in places such as Ecuador (known as the "global south") than what they can find in their own cities.

Eddie, just happened to come across your channel today. Your stuff is really interesting, and so is your personal perspective. Keep going, man.
Thanks a ton! Really means a lot to me :) have some cool video coming out I think you'll like! Welcome to the community

Your Spanish keeps getting better.

Wow all that for $400/ month! I would ve so grateful to be there for part of my visit to Ecuador in 2024!❤
Good job Eddie, Im not going to be a hater of your closet haha. Just keep doing you brother. Love the energy.
Thanks Jim!! Haha the closet is quite controversial...
you havs a great place, How much would a condo cost to buy in your building ? looking to buy this year- thank you
Not sure! I’ll ask and get back to you! Going to make a video about condo hunting later too
Thank you
We also like to see some mountain videos if you going to there.
Coming soon!
Bruh my dumbass was drinkin the river water and tap cause my grandma said it’s good for your immune system
During her time it was. 😢

Recently crime has gone up, but it also depends on where you live. If you live in Cumbaya it is generally safer I believe
did you pick up a guitar in Ecuador or did you travel with it and if you travel with it, is it considered a carry-on?

Nice livin!
Thanks brotha!!
Does the shower have automatic hot water from the knob, or do you have to use a calientador?
You have to heat up the water 5-10min before jumping in
So, $400 to rent a room? What would it cost to rent the whole place?
Yep for a room; whole place not 100% sure
Love your place Eddie. I could so get used to that!
thanks pep!! it's not to shabby right :)
@@Eddie_He You are so right Eddie.

Thanks for the support Arun!
How can your viewers find apartments like this?
Good question - apartment and condo hunting is something I’m going to look into and make a video about. Real estate down here is getting interesting!
Great video! However, that "urbanización" isn't the wealthiest of Cumbaya
Thanks! Yeah I realized that a little later 😅 let’s say “one of the wealthiest”

I want to move there
What would that entire apartment rent for ? Thx !
Not sure exactly because I rented a room out!
You’re so cool!
Hahaha daw thanks gaby!
I want to live with her 😁👍
dude, why are you yelling at us?
Haha you’re right it’s something I’m going to improve in future videos. Not supposed to be a car commercial 😅
beverly hills without beach view nah
Be careful not to show how to get to your building. Take care.
You’re right thanks JD
Hey man, any way I can talk to you? I need your advice on getting out of USA
Hey man! Yeah message me on IG @eddiehe03 or shoot me an email ed.he68@gmail.com

Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that…😅
Haha why would that even come to your mind!
