a story about SENDING it (first time canyoneering)
Two years ago, Pete and I bailed on doing a really cool hike at Zion National Park because it was too technical for us and we didnt know how to do anything and we didnt have any gear. Two years, later, we're in Moab Utah and have our sights on another really cool hike called the Pleiades Canyon and this time we're a little more knowledgeable and a little more prepared but still definitely out of our league and expertise, but this we decided to SEND IT.

a day in the life without a job, goals or dreams
มุมมอง 347ปีที่แล้ว
I used to be the most intense and ambitious human you'd ever met. While that mentality to this date has led me to the life I have now (which am immensely grateful for), I've slowly realized that it has all come with a lot of unnoticed stress, comparison, anxiety and failure. So last year, I quit my job and have been testing a new lifestyle or "way of living" that also includes no big goals or d...
Is Life Better in the USA or South America?

The Secret Power of Travel You've Never Realized
มุมมอง 737ปีที่แล้ว
When I saw the most beautiful and unique sunset I'd ever seen, I wasn't thinking "how amazing." What I was really thinking was "what is the point of taking an 8 hour overnight dirty bus and spending hundreds of dollars in a crammed van to see this for 5 minutes." Which got me thinking "what is the actual point of traveling?" which led me to a deeper search for the answers, which led me to a sup...
My Biggest Regret at 25...Traveling For The Wrong Reasons

Would you travel everyday for the rest of your life if you could? I actually had this luxury for the past few years traveling to 21 different cities in 8 different countries, but I would soon realize it was for all the wrong reasons and that led me to a strange feeling. It's comfortable (and fun) having a checklist of things to do and see in a new place and then just leaving, but how can you deepen your travel experience even further? Staying for a while and trying to build an actual life sounds daunting since you don't know anyone, might not know the language, and definitely don't know the area, but the things you learn, the relationships you develop, and the...
A Trip To Quito Ecuador...Not What We Expected

    Very impactful video brother Just one question for you. Don't you feel like a person who gave up when you say Musk and Jobs are just built different and accept it. I always think about it. If I choose normal life it'll mean I gave up Your opinion is really interesting for me

    • @Eddie_He
      @Eddie_He 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think what I meant by Jobs and Musk are built different is that their work passions perhaps outweigh their desire for the things that come with a normal life (family time, hobbies etc.) so for them it is an easy decision but for most of us we can't decide which is more important (content vs hardo etc.)

    been thinking a lot of the same things lately. i’m in my senior year of undergrad and have always planned to head to med school thereafter. only, i have always had qualms about the sacrifice you make to the very things you mentioned in the pursuit of something “great”. at the end of the day, i think it comes down to you as a person and what you deem to be great within reason of knowing yourself, as you mention. it’s about understanding what you want out of life most and making the necessary sacrifice. for me, i’d rather travel, pursue music, art, photography, etc and be ok with accepting that i wont fulfill my dream of becoming a doctor. at least not now. there is always tomorrow until there isn’t. it’s about enjoying today in whatever way that makes you happy. the grass is always greener until you hop the fence

    • @SunSunSunn
      @SunSunSunn 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      just wanted to chime in as a second year med student. i love that you've figured out what makes you happy. there were definitely sacrifices that I had to make, which included cutting off some hobbies like photography, learning languages, or playing the piano. these days, all i have time for is bodybuilding and building up my primary youtube channel because my other free time is siphoned into research and clubs. i do always wonder what life would've been like on the other side, if i had chosen not to pursue med school. i think i would've enjoyed either path just as much but i definitely do regret not being able to engage in the humanizing hobbies.

    • @Eddie_He
      @Eddie_He 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I like to think that if you focus on figuring out what you want (knowing you can't have it all) what you want and like will filter into the world in the right way, so focus on yourself and not what others think
