Literally stumbled across your channel Charlie, hope you have a banging trip I'll be looking out for how you get on if your documenting and posting all the luck chap 🤘🏻
Impressive preparation Charlie, thanks for sharing. What are those bags you have replaced the side panels with please? I'd like something like that for my 890 Adventure. Best of luck with the trip, looking forward to watching.
Can you provide some information on your tablet/setup please? Found your channel through your last video, I am literally going through the same problems you had with the camshafts and followers on my 2019, the dealership has had my bike for a month now. Any updates from that will be helpful too. You have a New subscriber. I'll be eagerly watching your upcoming journey. 👍🏽 I'll be riding solo across the U.S. from WA to FL this October.
Not much to update you on from the camshaft video as yet. That will come once i have a few thousand miles on it and need to do an oil change. The tablet is a T865 made by Thork Racing they have dealers in most countries now. i’m still very new with it but so far it is great my cousin also has one. You’ll see how I get on with that in future videos.
My rims are not stock so I can run smaller tyres so these are michelin MC360’s mid/hard pro’s amazing in mud cons wont fit stock rims and your can forget about long mileage
yes as it happened I opened it late last night. doing a little video on that for the FB is on my list to do today. on TH-cam the next time I mention it I guess will be my next service. as I'm sure people are keen to see the oil filter and screens.
you should've bought a spare stator. With all those accessorie you will put the electric system under stress. Ktm stator are famous for letting you down
There aren’t that many and they never will be running the same time. All i have it options. One of the cables is just for my pump. I don’t have extra lights or anything like that
What in gods name is that... are you taking your whole house in there (after watching first minute). That is definitely way to much stuff. Looking at all the comments you should just bring whole spare bike.
What are you basing that on? just the look and weight of it? I haven’t done a video on what i have yet. I don’t have that much in reality for a RTW trip. I could loose 5-7kg if i didn’t take my camera gear. But then you’d have nothing to comment on.
@@Adv_Charlie 40 kg of luggage... that is just crazy... why do you even need a spare parts. Are you going to some remote country with no stores??? How many miles do you itend to do... do you also have a new oil and filters??? I forgot, in KTM you don't change oil you just get new engine ;) and the size and placement of that duffel bag... to me that is just insane. If you plan on doing any off road you will not enjoy that a bit.
@marcinsmaga3441 yes I have lots of spare parts. Yes, I plan on going to remote places, Alaska and the Yukon for example. I think I’ll do around 200 miles per day. Yes, I have spare oil filters and screens. The oil I’ll buy as I need it. The back bag is over-packed as that is my main bag for the first two weeks of my trip without the bike. The tripod on the top makes it look much bigger. I’ll make sure the top bag is as light as possible and having it where it is means I can move about on the bike. Nothing worse than going down a steep downhill and your rear bag pushing you forward. I have already done off-road with this set up so I know what I can and cannot handle.
Gran trabajo, muy cuidadoso y bien ejecutado
Good idea to do all preparation work by yourself. Now you have an intimate knowledge of the bike. Good luck with your trip!
One of the reasons i want to take this bike and the bike i own because i stand a better chance of fixing it.
Very interesting!
Huge job! well done!
Good luck with the trip Charlie, look forward to seeing the next videos 👍🏻

Hello.
What are you riding for tires?
Any pros/cons to mention.

Did you receive your key chain from Blair yet? Would be great to pop that in a video to spread more awareness! 😉

I hope you plan on taking a new fuel pump, it is a KTM. There are much better than OEM fuel pumps available.
There is only so much I can take. I don't currently have one but maybe it's something I pick up along the way
