Let's talk about how Godzilla's atomic breath has enough power to blast a hole to the center of the earth but never enough power to kill another titan unless he shoots it inside their body.
@@pcmld2267 but titans can be damaged by bites and tackles? Look i love monsterverse but, sometimes the plot armor/plot amplified ability (godzilla blasting a hole to earth's centre) is very inconsistent. Atleast invent a reason to why he can blast that hole, yes he is at his strongest but, in kotm his breath wasn't that op
Fun fact: Ghidorah also had plot armour. The director stated that, realistically, Godzilla would have killed him in the underwater fight scene. But they couldn't kill him off that easy and also a 20 minute movie wouldn't make much money.
You could argue that the oxygen destroyer was Ghidora's plot armour. Had it not been detonated there's a good chance Godzilla would have ended it right there, he was handling Ghidora in the water without any trouble.
I'm pretty sure that Ghidorah won the Antarctica fight until the military intervened but ok. Also according to your logic, Golden Eagles are weak because they drop goats off cliffs to kill them. Just because something takes advantage of physics does not mean it is weak.
@haddennguyen7179 He literally did not win. He did nothing at all to Godzilla, got scared by missiles and then ran away like a girl. Retreating is never a victory, especially after doing nothing but harmlessly pushing someone over. If one party retreats, the other objectively wins. •If this was a UFC fight, Ghidorah dealt no damage and then jumped out of the ring, losing not only the round, but the entire match. •If this was a battle in a war _(a much closer analogy)_ and you retreat, you lost the battle. There are countless examples of this. •If a bully attacks you at school and you manage to push him over and run away...you did not win, you just escaped. Moreso, Godzilla was not even hurt. Ghidorah getting scared by missiles _(which is pathetic for a kaiju)_ is no excuse. If you get scared and run, you *objectively* lose. There is no universe where you can twist what happened there into a win for Ghidorah Ghidorahs entire natural arsenal was so weak and useless that he had to drop him and rely on gravity to hit Godzilla harder than he ever could just to make any progress at all. Like an eagle dropping a mountain goat because it knows it can not take the goat in a straight fight. Striking Godzilla never did more than harmlessly push him over, his beams did not do more than sting a little, biting never did anything...the thing is completely useless. Meanwhile, Godzilla showed he could pull the poor thing apart like a dandelion with no difficulty at all. Seriously, I want you to imagine you are fighting a guy that can just rip your arms off. Would you call that a fair fight? This is like a large bear vs a man...that is how large the strength gap is
@luffyxrubber Want to talk about plot armour? What about how Godzilla just straight up forgot he could casually pluck Ghidorah's limbs off because the plot needed him to. It was PIS (Plot Induced Stupidity) when Ghidorah wrapped his neck around him in Boston and all Godzilla had to do is lean forward to tear his head off…your core is stronger than your neck and arms and Godzilla had more leverage than he did in the ocean…but the plot needed Godzilla to get KOd so Mothra could do the typical sacrifice she does when she jobs for Godzilla so he could go Burning mode for fanservice so the movie can make money. *That was PIS.* Narratively it makes no sense but the movie *needed* it to happen. So was Ghidorah getting any reasonable amount of energy from one power plant. Especially enough for a non existent “upgrade” that made no difference _(a mere power plant is laughable on the scale of a nuke for your information, and unfortunately I just cannot un-know that)._ The PIS was constantly on Ghidorah's side. MV Godzilla is just dumb. So dumb he shoots an axe instead of the head thats literally right *in front of* where he is aiming. MV Godzilla is basically an NPC. He is consistently that stupid. So much he struggled with MUTOs, the bottom of the barrel garbage of the entire franchise that even a Kamacuras would objectively stomp. And that consistent stupidity is why him being stupid as a bucket of mud later when he had great leverage and did not tear Ghidorah apart i not PIS. He is just literally that dumb. It is consistent for his character because he does not show himself to be any smarter. But he is dumb because Hollywood is dumb. They just do not care. MV is an empty shell of a Godzilla that exists soley to profit off of morons by showing you stuff you have already seen before except worse. But it is in HD and America is also dumb. That is where we are at. I got a little distracted maybe but TLDR he is just an idiot. What is consistent is how bad he whooped Ghidorah in every single fight. Clearly, Ghidorah is not even a match. Monsterverse Ghidorah is just garbage and only ever had a chance because this Godzilla is genuinely retarted. Looks aside, this is the worst Ghidorah in history. The thing is absolutely worthless in combat and pathetically weak. Its best accolades are beating useless scrubs like the worst Rodan ever and a low tier Jobber Mothra. That is nothing to be proud of.
There was one way that Godzilla could've survived Scenario 5 himself. The moment MechaGodzilla forced open Godzilla's mouth, Godzilla could have easily activated his own atomic breathe, destroying Mecha's head, similar to how the pilot lost his head
I mean, they would not die, but we could probably trip them Ewok-style and then shoot them while they were down, hopefully injuring them. And yes. Even antiquated weaponry could kill these things without plot armor
Why yes without plot armor Actually every single Giant monster would die But not from Humans From Gravity and also they would need alot for food except for godzilla
everyone saying gravity but them not dying to gravity isn't plot armor. it's more like how characters from stories can survive literally being erased from existence because they have powers. most kaiju from godzilla are completely immune to all weaponry humanity has because they are simply too powerful. realistically if a real life godzilla with no plot armor fought humanity, it would win and by a lot too. it's weakest forms don't even notice missiles. the only way we potentially have to damage him is nukes and... that would literally just feed him.
One thing about the humans being plot armor that I’d argue. By adding in humans that gives the G-man a teammate. Sure they can’t punch the monsters in a fight but by helping Godzilla how they can, they turn the fights around. If you were fighting a guy and your smaller friend came in and hit them in the leg with a baseball bat or hit them with a rock while they had you pinned, would that be plot armor or the benefit of not fighting alone? Teamwork is a solid game changer.
@@SomethinglDK because the water creates buoyancy it's kind of like the feeling when you walk out of a pool you feel really heavy because your body had become accustomed to feeling weightless in the water just in Godzilla's case it would be much more severe ending his life
Humans KO’d Godzilla in KOTM with a nuke. While Ghidorah was fine. The plot armour solution was recharge him…with a nuke? Even then, he got bodied AGAIN by Ghidorah and Mothra had to sacrifice her life force to basically make Godzilla a Super Sayian lol
@@barb9740 my point is Ghidorah was unscathed while Godzilla was KO’d. You can make the argument that Ghidorah has some plot armor, but Ghidorah’s an alien. I highly doubt anything earthly would’ve worked on him
I feel like Mechagodzilla was wasted, he got the Doomsday treatment, meaning he got shoehorned into a film that was a face off film between 2 big names, Batman v Superman in the case of Doomsday and Godzilla v Kong in the case of Mecha. Mechagodzilla should have gotten his own full film to fight godzilla
I love the tiamat hissing roar. Fitted well for that type of kaiju. Btw, can you do in depth combat analysis between Muto Prime and King Ghidorah? I think this two is very well balanced.
Ghidorah would absolutely smoke Prime. There's literally nothing the MUTO can do (other than a sonic roar) that could have any effect on a flying Titan that's the largest in the Monsterverse and can shoot electric beams out of 3 mouths.
@@bigcashiv3571 The one I want to see is how the titans defeated Ghidorah the first time. They've talked about that being a team-up and you have to wonder how much damage Ghidorah did, how many titans he killed first (causing the need for them to team up), then how the actual battle went down. That would be awesome to see on the big screen. But yeah, him fighting Prime would be really cool if they could find a way to balance out the fight to keep it from being one-sided. Maybe have it happen in the Hollow Earth?
I don't think Godzilla's fight with Tiamat was nearly as dire as some people do. Like you said, his atomic breath and especially a nuclear pulse could have come in clutch with Tiamat wrapped around him and therefore unable to dodge. Plus its not like she would have been able to drown him or anything besides slowly weakening him with acid and cuts. And with how quickly she submitted once Godzilla took the upper hand I feel like Tiamat probably isn't the most durable titan in the Monsterverse.
They would of came in clutch if wasn’t for Tiamat repeatedly shredding up Goji. It takes time for the big G to charge his beam and better yet he requires a decent amount of space to himself just for him to charge up 1 beam, same thing applies to the pulse even tho it hasn’t been shown that Goji is able to do so without a specific amount of circumstances
@@Krazy346 yeah true, in order to release a pulse the lad has to literally be under strict circumstances, there’s 1 which is be in his Thermo state which requires Mosura, and 2 he has to have his dorsal played shattered in order to reveal what’s underneath which in turn will make his energy levels unstable
He can always pulse, its just that shattered plates gave prime a concentrated dose. The way the plates come back bigger reminds me of doomsday from DC. Its likely that 19's plates are now immune to that frequency. I'd like to see Goji-center do a video on 19 vs muto prime. I doubt assistance would be needed as in 14's case. It's likely that Godzilla and Prime are ironically symbiotic as they evolve new ways to resist and out do one another. That's why the legend of the ancient people read that way. You never knew if the beetle or sea god would win or who had evolved most recently.
@@taxationistheft9441 I’m still not buying it, if he always had the ability to pulse in his normal state totem why tf has he never been shown to do said pulse?

I think this is one of the most important videos you’ve ever made. Every Godzilla fan who laughs at King Kong for having plot armor should see this and understand even GODZILLA has plot armor😆 Big thanks, goji center💪🏼 And after reading more comments, 2 more things: it's not a competition of who got more plot armor than the other, the point is to understand it's something BOTH has and not just one of them. They're the main characters and are still needed And King Kong may not be the strongest titan, but he sure as hell ain't the weakest (the guy in the comments who thinks that has problems, i suppose)
I feel as a lot of the reasons why Godzilla almost died is because of humans not knowingly helping the bad Kajiu, for example. The only reason why godzillas atomic breath was weaker was because of the humans, let me explain. We all know that mutos EMP can weaken Godzillas atomic breath right? Well what are the reasons why the mutos used they’re emp in godzilla 2014? because of HUMANS. if humans would’ve not have tried to hunt down the mutos and caused them to use their emp. Then it’s possible that Godzilla would have had a more powerful atomic breath and who knows, maybe Godzilla would’ve been able to use his atomic breath more often in their fight as well.
Regardless if the humans went after the MUTOs, they have the ability capable of immobilizing one of Godzilla's most powerful traits, the atomic breath, so that they could come out victorious and multiply across earth. If anything, the humans helped godzilla in most cases, like Ford Brody trying to assist Godzilla by getting the nuclear missile or whatever it was the MUTOs were trying to feed off of, Ishiro nuking life back into Godzilla, Dr. Emma using the ORCA to distract Ghidorah, lots of ways the humans actually assisted Godzilla whenever he needed it.
Despite the weaker atomic breath, the MUTOs still showed signs of resistance to the atomic breath, and as mentioned, the MUTO prime also feeds on atomic substances, which may be a running trait through all MUTOs. Hence we can prove that should godzilla still have used his atomic breath without EMP resistance, the MUTO still would have possibly (a small chance here) survived. Furthermore, there were two MUTOs to support each other and launch quick, tactical, decisive attacks.
I think it would be cool if you all went over the Netflix Godzilla anime movie trilogy not just for plot armor, but its really good series (spoilers) about if Godzilla saw humanity as the ones breaking the balance. Great video as always!

You can't, no matter what you do.... it's impossible. This is like a large bear vs a man.... That's how large the strength gap is. Also saying that the fight being underwater made it unfair is a pitiful excuse. Being in water didn't make Godzilla stronger nor did it make Ghidorah less durable, being in water doesn't somehow make ghidorah easier to pull apart. If they fought mid air, ghidorah still wouldn't be strong enough to rip Godzillas head off. The arena has no impact on how strong you are. The 3rd fight Godzilla is curbstomping ghidorah as usual.... tanking or no selling everything ghidorah does, until ghidorah gets enough plot armour to *somehow* choke godzilla out with the same head that he casually plucked off in the last fight with half the leverage he has now. Realistically, all Godzilla would have to do there was push against his body to tear through considering he already did that but now he's stronger from the nuke and in more of an optimal scenario to do so.... *But the plot wouldn't let him* That was inconvenient for the movie, we wouldn't have gotten our burning Godzilla fan service. Obviously I’m kidding, you shouldn't…but here's a personal story: *I’ve tried.* In my defense this was at least 5 years ago, he broke my nose in our previous fight and was currently punching my ex's car to get at me as we were leaving…so I thought…why not? So I pulled him into the car, stuffed him flat on the floor and had him in a headlock from behind with my knee firmly on his spine (basically I was fetal position, then tried to stand) and literally tried to pull his head off with my thighs, hips, my entire core, and both arms all working in conjunction. I gave him 10 full seconds of that (and pulled something in my own chest, in the process). *That's my entire body, at once, and I can easily carry my own body weight.* It’s impossible, my dude. I don't think you're understanding just how much stronger you have to be to pull that off (literally). To do something like that, *you’re not close in strength. At all.* You need to be an *actual bear compared to a human.* Also the guy lived, if you were worried. And he said sorry lol. So yea, you're just wrong on all fronts, you don't even know what you're talking about. Just delete your comment
I could be alone, but I've always had issues with the muto fight. The male is able to sneak Godzilla because he's 100% focused on the female, even though he had just previously fought the male and knew he was still around. After he gets headbutted by the female, he takes precious seconds to....roar at her. The entire time, he never utilized his atomic breath (the novels, he does but it gets nullified by the male) so it could be saved for that moment. I REALLY feel like if things were written differently Godzilla (with high difficulty) could've taken out the mutos.
Another thing is, what would have happened if the nuke did go off? Would Godzilla have been supercharged? We saw that he basically ate the same nuke in KOTM, and got STRONGER. Personally I think that he would have had his ass handed to him for the next 5 or so minutes until the nuke went off, and then he’d have gone full on GvK berserker mode.
@@justswimit1278 I completely forgot about the nuke 😳. Yeah, that goes off, Godzilla is going to be powered up....imagine the mutos trying to fight burning Godzilla
They did a poor job of explaining it, but the mutos emp was what hindered Godzilla’s breath. It just so happened that because of its atomic weapon stopping capabilities, the mutos would spam it at anything that looked at them funny. Thus it wrecked human weaponry too. Still, Godzilla should have killed the much smaller male early on. There’s also that Godzilla should have killed Ghidorah in the Gulf of Mexico. With no plot armor, Ghidorah would have continued being torn apart, until he couldn’t regenerate anymore.
@@banethereckoning2638 that wasn't a nuke, they stated in the movie it wouldn't cause nuclear fallout. They also said it was way, way stronger, so Godzilla could've died although that is quite unlikely.

I don't really count the kotm plot armor since Ghidorah had two moments with plot armor during the movie. At first, the oxygen bomb appearing just when he was about to die, is a pretty obvious momment. And then, during the final battle, Godzilla was winning against Ghidorah just before he used a convenient electricity source in the battlefield. With Tiamat I think Godzilla had other ways to kill him, but that's another topic. Pd: be respectful in the debate below(?)
@@skeletor-edits I don't think so. If we remember, at the end of the movie, the terrorists recovered one of Ghidora's heads, and it was dead. It is hard to assume if it died because Ghidorah recovered that head or not, but anyway, it was dead without being incinerated. Plus, if the battle continued, Godzilla would have probably used the atomic breath in Ghidorah's body like he did in the final scene with Ichi.
I think there's one more. One more plot armor moment for Godzilla. The axe to the head scene. When Kong swinged his charged axe at Godzilla, it got wedged into his thigh, but when it was smashed against his skull, it just... exploded? Of course, maybe it got overcharged and exploded, at a very convenient moment if I may add, because if Kong hit the big guy before the axe got overcharged, we'd see what Godzilla's brains look like.
I would say it should be the opposite, the overcharged axe is stronger, and can slice through Mechagodzilla like nothing. Conversely, I really doubt Kong could have killed Godzilla with his axe, ultimately Godzilla was holding back and when pissed he manhandled Kong, their difference in power was notorious.
Exactly, like bro the axe just sliced through mecha g like a cake but not on godzilla, how massive is this plot armor really, godzilla should've been dead by getting decapitated or getting his head split with that dorsal axe
A what if series of the godzilla franchise would be a blast, it’s just so fun to wonder how would humans would deal with the titans when godzilla is gone
They would have made mechagodzilla out of his body rather than Gidoriah, at least in the monsterverse movies. Hopefully, this time it would actually work. Though a Kong v Gidoriah would have been interesting, if short lived.
@@BoroPhil Agreed. The plotline would have been fairly straightforward (Ghidorah and their Titan army go around destroying what's left of humanity and other defiant Titans like Kong and eradicating life on Earth, with nothing managing to stop them), but nevertheless, it would be a juicy treat to watch it pan out.
@@joshuabonesteel2303 Depends on when in the timeline Godzilla dies, since it took Apex years to make Mechagodzilla with a Ghidorah skull, and they also needed to design the HEAV and harvest the Hollow Earth's phlebotinum to boot. If Godzilla dies to the Muto Prime, then yeah, humans will have ample time to construct and perfect MechaG before the Mutos hatch. But if Godzilla dies during G:2014 with the Muto pair winning and repopulating, or during KotM with Ghidorah winning, then humanity absolutely won't have enough time to perfect MechaG before the Titans completely destroy civilisation.
i love this stuff every video makes me curious because this channel put in characters that have potential at everything so it wouldnt be obvious that makes me watch tihs sooooooo much
Another one. After kong knocked him out with the axe. He climbed up a building instead of getting the axe and finishing off goji. Don’t get me wrong. I know that kong had plot armour too. But people need to understand that so does goji
Godzilla obviously has it just like Kong and every other main character in existence has it, but the one you mentioned really isn't plot armor, at least not in the same way as the ones in the video. You'll recall that when the axe overcharged and sent out that pulse directly before making contact with Goji's face (which, to be fair, I do believe is an instance that would fit the bill as plot armor a little bit better), it sent Kong flying back. The axe was sent in a different direction and ended up partially buried under some rubble and lost it's glow. This wasn't really Godzilla being saved by plot armor, this was Kong simply not knowing where the axe went, which is why there's so much emphasis put on it when Kong does spot it during the Mechagodzilla fight. I think this was a fairly logical way of it playing out. The axe didn't break, stop working, or get deleted from existence, Kong lost it for a little bit due to the blast. It's also worth noting that we don't really know how much time actually passed between the end of round 2 and the beginning of round 3. What we do know though, is that they both clearly take place at night. If it was just a few minutes (what I personally think is the case, but who tf am I lol, no confirmation) then this would make perfect sense. He probably searched for it for a little bit while Goji was unconscious, realized that he was limited on time and opted to use it to build a quick strategy he knew he'd be able to execute himself instead of aimlessly search for an axe that didn't even work the way it was supposed to when he tried to use it
@@yessir2048 fair enough. But when kong spotted it during the fight with mecha it was on top of rubble. Not under it. And after kong knocked out Goji he didn’t even bother looking for the axe. Nope confirmed in the novel and novel writer Godzilla was knocked down not out, Kong saw Godzilla getting up so he didn't have enough time to search for the axe.
To be honest, most Godzilla incarnation had always had plot armour such as Showa Godzilla’s abilities to fly, heisei Godzilla’s ability after rodan helped him. But it’s Godzilla of course he’s gonna be more powerful than his foes since the recent movies are starting to use every abilities that the previous Godzilla’s had.
Natural abilities of character are not plot armor. They are feats. Saying: Show has plot armor because he can fly is like saying that Godzilla millenium has plot armor because he can use atomic breath
@@sandwraith448 so you forgot about how when Showa Godzilla was about to be killed by mechagodzilla, he for some reason became a magnet because of a random lightning or how when hedorah flew, he some how used his atomic breath fly even though in his previous films, he was never able to do this.
@@SokWorld2007 He never needed to fly before, I think that is just a case of innovation cause he would have always had the breath. Its the magnet ability that was a sudden asspull ability he developed while healing and being struck by lightning. But that was ages ago, modern Godzilla media is more serious to at least explain new powers and abilities more properly
one major moment where godzilla had plot armor was the fight with kong in Hong-Kong. The godzilla plated axe was shown to sink deep into godzillas thigh and a godzilla like relative's head in hollow earth. It's also shown that the atomic juiced up axe is strong enough to cut though mecha yet when kong strikes the axe down on godzillas head it explodes instead of you know, killing him. Now an argument could be made that the explosion was caused by godzilla still fireing the at the axe or maybe the axe took in too much energy, but that just seems highly unlikely, godzilla should have died right then and there.
Nope it's confirmed in the novel and director the axe did hit, godzilla head is just much more durable then his leg and we don't even know if the giant skull is a gojira skull or another species.
@@kiyoshi3313Nah that scene had plot armour for Kong. Wow. Another excellent and impressive video. I have an idea about a video which you can do in the future. I would really wish to see a battle face off analysis between the Mosasaurus from the Jurassic World trilogy VS. the larger sized Megalodon from the 2018 movie: The Meg, the one which was killed in the film's climax by sharks. I think that would be an interesting video. Anyways, keep up the good work.
Above a certain size threshold (which Goji has passed decades ago) a kaiju needs a _little_ plot armor just to not collapse under his own weight the instant he moves.
it’s like they get triggered. This video is about What would happen if Godzilla had no plot armor and here comes a “bUT KoNG” comment. Out of all monsters, Kong is brought into this.
Probably because there’s a more plausible explanation for Godzillas victories whereas Kong is a large Gorilla that should probably be outmatched by pretty much any Kaiju. That being said, Kong was awesome in the most recent film.
I've always wondered if the "Godzilla vs Kong' movie was setting up a potential "Monsterverse Kaiju vs Mecha" movie. Thanks to MecaGodzilla, we now know that humans can make a device capable of taking on Godzilla himself, if they have access to a good enough power source (and since all we have to do is replicate the 'frequency' of the Hollow Earth power source, somebody out there can probably do it again). Even heard rumors that we could see a 'Pacific Rim vs Monsterverse" movie in the future, as both IPs are owned by the same company now.
Voting for this in GojiCenter's poll and seeing the results: God fucking damnit This one getting uploaded first: All praise be to Gojira the holiest and most divine
Now here’s where I see a bit of plot amor, when the mechaG has a beam clash with Godzilla and mechaG instantly finishing the clash and continuing to beam Godzilla only for around a couple of seconds until stopping and only leaving burn marks on Godzilla. MechaG could’ve kept going so It wouldn’t have just be burn marks to eventually maybe burning through.

I know this comment is gonna get some other Godzilla fans really upset but I wanna share this. There are other ways Godzilla has plot armor besides getting saved by humans. The fact that, up until Godzilla dominion, Godzilla has overpowered every single one of his enemies upon first encounter, even the ones that are supposed to be far stronger than him. His enemies have to resort to tag teaming or some kind of power up or upgrade to stand a chance. The mutos were individually being destroyed by Godzilla and had to tag team. Muto prime retreated 3 times and having to power up to actually stand a chance against Godzilla, which makes no sense because Godzilla almost died to the other mutos yet he somehow easily fought off the far stronger muto prime? Ghidorah, despite being far stronger than Godzilla in his original appearances, gets beaten up by Godzilla throughout the movie and has to absorb the city's electricity in order to stand a chance. And then Godzilla gets ANOTHER power up from mothra in order to defeat him. It's so boring having the hero being way too OP, the villain having to resort to powering up, then having the hero get saved by humans or get some power up. This gets super repetitive and boring. Plot armor has seriously kept these fights from its full potential. And honestly Godzilla has always had plot armor throughout his movie history. Everytime he finds himself against a stronger opponent, he randomly gets a new power or magically becomes stronger out of nowhere. And now it seems that his plot armor makes him too overpowered which nerfs monsters like Ghidorah, Rodan, and mothra which results in one sided fights. I love Godzilla but his plot armor is one part of his character that I've never liked. The fact that I see people in comments saying that Ghidorah has plot armor seriously confuses me.
You say bulshit bro 1st he is main chracter tell me any main chracter who never got plot armour heaise final.war showa all godzilla got plot armour mv godzilla got less plot armour
Ghidorah is not stronger then godzilla and ofc godzilla evolution is basic things if king ghidorah was hero and godzilla was villian they also give plot armour ghidorah
I would be interested in a video measuring various features of the Hollow Earth, such as how tall the mountain that the Kong Temple was in is and comparing those Hollow Earth features to buildings and other things we're familiar with.
What about the part where Kong landed the axe on Godzilla's head. If it can cutt into G-mans hide them it could have done some serious damage to Godzilla skull
It didn't actually make contact, it overcharged right before it hit the target and sent out a pulse of energy. That should have been in this video for sure, because if it hadn't overcharged and detonated on itself Goji would have more than likely been done for
@@yessir2048 I have no idea why it wasn't in the video, because it was pretty obvious that if not for the overcharge, the fight would've ended right there
@@silverandgold4351 Cap, it wouldn’t have exploded. Hell, even in the movie the contact isn’t really there. Plus, the novel isn’t too reliable. It has clear differences.
Well one instance was earlier in the the gvk fight. Where Kong could have finished pummeling the absolute turds out of Godzilla, but didn’t end up killing him. Also in gxk near the end of the pyramid scene where Kong chose to drag Godzilla into the portal instead of finishing him while he was weak enough to allow himself to be dragged
I'm obviously crazy glad Godzilla survived but at the same time I would've kinda liked seeing Ghidorah in a burning state if he'd successfully syphoned all of Godzilla's atomic energy.
They only made Godzilla look weak against the robot for the movie and fans. Let’s be real here, Godzilla would destroy metal robot anyday. He literally can burn through hollow earth but can’t burn through some metal? Yeah ok buddy
I want to see a "What if Kong had to fight all the evil monsterverse titans instead of Godzilla?" video, i think he could take some of them, but some others would need some plot armor
He could take the Mutos zero difficulty, seeing as how he has dealt with similar creatures, and the emp would do nothing to him. He might be able to take Rodan. Best hope would be to use his great speed against him and impale his dragon butt. He ain't got nothing on Gidoriah. He couldn't be Godzilla at base, and Godzilla had to go burning to beat Gidoriah. The only hope he has is that humans make mechagodzilla out of Godzilla's remains and a partner up with Mothra to help even the disparity between him and Gidoriah.
@@joshuabonesteel2303 He would beat rodan, since he was able to handle a bit of godzilla's atomic breath, even though it was like half a second but his breath is 500k celsius, wayyyyyyyyyyy more than rodan's temp which is around 1k
@@RonaldoxSiu I doubt that. The MUTOs were able to pierce Godzilla's hide very quickly. As for Kong tearing off the arms, I'm a little more unsure since we don't have much cases of MUTO arms being taken off.
Honestly I’m not surprised, the humans want to help Godzilla, you could say “what if it didn’t happen” but you could say that about a lot of things in Godzilla
another one is the fact that when he was in an egg he probably could have developed improperly formed and when he was a small hatching he would also probably be picked up as a snack for a predator
now make a video about what Kong would be like without plot armo, it would also be a very interesting video to see For example when Skullcrawler stopped killing Kong 2 times to go after some humans who were doing practically nothing to hurt him
If Kong didn't have his plot armor keeping him alive throughout the entire film, Godzilla wouldn't have been worn out when Mecha appeared, which as has been confirmed would have been a completely different scenario with a one-sided victory for Godzilla. So, just like with the Oxygen Destroyer was Ghidora's plot armor which takes place before Godzilla's, negating the need for his own, Kong was ALSO Mecha's plot armor to even let him stand a fighting chance.
Ghidorah would have killed Godzilla in the Antarctica fight If Godzilla's First plot armor which is the monarch jets shooting missiles at ghidorah wasnt there, Ghidorah Just got confused for being attacked by jets after hibernation and retreated, he wouldnt retreat If the military didnt intervene and he was doing much better than Godzilla in that particular fight
I don’t know if it’s possible yet, but Kong is very similar to a Gorilla, which can lift more than 5x their own body weight. Which means theoretically, Kong would’ve been able to lift and possibly throw Godzilla. Edit: to be more specific it is believed a Gorilla can lift 27x their own body weight
Similar doesn't exactly man he is, Kong has been established and confirmed many times to not be a gorilla, he is a Kong species, so they are nothing like gorillas, they can look like it, but they don't have the same feats and strength, same as a human looking like an ape, but we have different overall body structure and capabilities, and that's juse one of many other examples like cats and dogs and any four legged creature, then there is also fish. Point is, Kong is strong, but not lifting 5 times it's weight strong, not with those weak lower half legs, those aren't supporting that kind of weight.
Every character has plot armor. I don't understand why they only focus on the protagonist and not the villains. Godzilla not being able to use his burning state whenever he wants in itself it is a plot armor. And with the last film it is revealed that Godzilla could evolve infinitely, however something prevents him from doing so. That's plot armor for the franchise. Humans are the only ones who have plot armor in this type of franchise apparently. The larger the size of a brain, the more intelligent the organism. And there are many giant organisms here. For a start.
The point of saying “plot armour” is something only being alive for the plot…for example…Godzilla. Godzilla is the main part of the plot, no shit he has the most plot armour.
Kong has the most plot armor, Godzilla let him win and let's be real here Kong wouldn't be able to take mechagodzillas missiles or beam attack. Big monke got the most armor
You could say that but the comparison between who did the most damage with plot armor isn’t even close. It easily goes to Godzilla. Kong with plot armor or not he’s still one of the weakest titans in the verse and it shows in every film he is in. Godzilla quite literally is the king of monsters because of it. Not saying he isn’t very strong without it because obviously he is but that plot convenience somehow always being on his side did seem to help out with it. I just dislike how Godzilla fans are blind to the idea of plot armor.

I have to say now I think about it, it’s a bit disappointing to think that Godzilla hasn’t really won any fights one-on-one with any of the antagonists without outside intervention. It would be great to see him actually kick ass for once, hopefully in the next monsterverse movie!
Not sure about that the next film I think is Godzilla vs kong sexual and if there is going to be another big bad he’s probably going to team up with kong
Yea, especially when most of the time its humanity itself that doesnt let godzilla do his job. i feel like people keep underestimating how powerful he is
A prime example of plot armor saving the King would have to be the final battle in Godzilla: Final Wars against Keizer Ghidorah. He would have been screwed if not for the main character sharing some of his energy
There’s another one: After Kong won his second round with Godzilla, he could’ve finished him off as he was unconscious for a short while. But instead Kong chose to climb a building and wait for Godzilla to awake… 🤷🏼

Most titans are that durable.
Godzilla also tanked the Permian Extinction meteor to the face & didn’t flinch.
@@pcmld2267 but titans can be damaged by bites and tackles? Fun fact: Ghidorah also had plot armour. The director stated that, realistically, Godzilla would have killed him in the underwater fight scene. But they couldn't kill him off that easy and also a 20 minute movie wouldn't make much money.
He died anyway
💯
Yup Ghidorah is kinda lucky there. Godzilla already wins in the past ( Ghidorah is sealed in Antartica ). Godzilla is the true Apex on earth.
Of course he has a big disadvantage on the ocean, its more fair for both of them to fight on ground, honestly i think Gidorah beats him
Also if godzilla didn’t have plot armor he wouldn’t even be there because he would of been killed by the Mutos
Just because something takes advantage of physics does not mean it is weak.
the military used plot armor for godzilla first

@haddennguyen7179 He literally did not win. He did nothing at all to Godzilla, got scared by missiles and then ran away like a girl. Retreating is never a victory, especially after doing nothing but harmlessly pushing someone over.

Moreso, Godzilla was not even hurt. Ghidorah getting scared by missiles _(which is pathetic for a kaiju)_ is no excuse. If you get scared and run, you *objectively* lose. There is no universe where you can twist what happened there into a win for Ghidorah
Ghidorahs entire natural arsenal was so weak and useless that he had to drop him and rely on gravity to hit Godzilla harder than he ever could just to make any progress at all.
Especially enough for a non existent “upgrade” that made no difference _(a mere power plant is laughable on the scale of a nuke for your information, and unfortunately I just cannot un-know that)._
The PIS was constantly on Ghidorah's side.

Realistically if you removed plot armor from giant monsters in general they'd be quite easy to take down by even quite old weaponry.
The power of gravity would say other wise maybe…
I mean, they would not die, but we could probably trip them Ewok-style and then shoot them while they were down, hopefully injuring them. And yes. Even antiquated weaponry could kill these things without plot armor
Why yes without plot armor Actually every single Giant monster would die
But not from Humans
From Gravity and also they would need alot for food except for godzilla
Also mostly plot armour for us we have Godzilla on our side
everyone saying gravity but them not dying to gravity isn't plot armor.
it's more like how characters from stories can survive literally being erased from existence because they have powers.
most kaiju from godzilla are completely immune to all weaponry humanity has because they are simply too powerful.
realistically if a real life godzilla with no plot armor fought humanity, it would win and by a lot too.
it's weakest forms don't even notice missiles.
the only way we potentially have to damage him is nukes and... that would literally just feed him.
Teamwork is a solid game changer.
that sir is a plot armor because there was outside intervention. the fight was between monsters not monster vs monster& humanity.

Mechagodzilla should have gotten his own full film to fight godzilla
I love the tiamat hissing roar. Fitted well for that type of kaiju. Btw, can you do in depth combat analysis between Muto Prime and King Ghidorah? I think this two is very well balanced.
Oooohhhhh that sounds interesting
Ghidorah would absolutely smoke Prime. There's literally nothing the MUTO can do (other than a sonic roar) that could have any effect on a flying Titan that's the largest in the Monsterverse and can shoot electric beams out of 3 mouths.

@@bigcashiv3571 yea I’m still personally waiting for camazotz vs rodan
For the pulse he would not be able to use it because well uhh. He would not be able to go thermo in any way
@@Krazy346 yeah true, in order to release a pulse the lad has to literally be under strict circumstances, there’s 1 which is be in his Thermo state which requires Mosura, and 2 he has to have his dorsal played shattered in order to reveal what’s underneath which in turn will make his energy levels unstable
Great scenario with Godzilla without plot armor keep up the great work with these videos.
It’s probably still healing
They would've probably done it anyway instinctually upon seeing Godzilla
@@alien_1089 that’s purely speculation, I mean so is my comment but we have no evidence that they would’ve used their EPM upon seeing godzilla.
I think it would be cool if you all went over the Netflix Godzilla anime movie trilogy
not just for plot armor, but its really good series (spoilers) about if Godzilla saw humanity as the ones breaking the balance.

Retreating is never a victory, especially after doing nothing besides harmlessly pushing Godzilla over. There are many people that can't fathom how ghidorah lost this so I'll explain a bit more. *If one party retreats, the other objectively wins*

•If this was a battle at war (a much closer analogy) and you retreat, you lost the battle, there are countless examples of this.
•If a bully attacks you at school and you manage to push him over and run away, you didn't win...you just escaped.
The second fight truly shows us how inferior ghidorah is to Godzilla, when they have Godzilla pull ghidorah apart like a dandelion. Imagine pulling another person's head off.
*But the plot wouldn't let him*
That was inconvenient for the movie, we wouldn't have gotten our burning Godzilla fan service.
Contrivances aside... A nameless extra has a better chance of beating John Wick than ghidorah had beating Godzilla based on what was shown. *John would have to be both completely bullet proof and strong enough to pull the other guy to pieces, just to make it a 1-1 analogy*
There's absolutely nothing in the film suggesting godzilla is outmatched. It's quite obviously the opposite.
"and biting heads off don't means a win"
Go ahead, try to rip a man's head off. Any way you can, see how far you get. Obviously I’m kidding, you shouldn't…but here's a personal story: *I’ve tried.*
In my defense this was at least 5 years ago, he broke my nose in our previous fight and was currently punching my ex's car to get at me as we were leaving…so I thought…why not? So I pulled him into the car, stuffed him flat on the floor and had him in a headlock from behind with my knee firmly on his spine (basically I was fetal position, then tried to stand) and literally tried to pull his head off with my thighs, hips, my entire core, and both arms all working in conjunction. I gave him 10 full seconds of that (and pulled something in my own chest, in the process). *That's my entire body, at once, and I can easily carry my own body weight.*
It’s impossible, my dude. I don't think you're understanding just how much stronger you have to be to pull that off (literally). To do something like that, *you’re not close in strength. At all.* You need to be an *actual bear compared to a human.*

The way the mutos looked, I felt like they would be way too delicate to stand up to Godzilla. I felt like they could fight him at all was their plot armor.

@@skeletor-edits actually it was stated by Michael that all Godzilla needed to do was rip all of Ghidorah's heads off at once to kill him

Exactly, kong had plenty of plot armor aswell but that moment should’ve atleast mortally wounded Godzilla
I still think Godzilla would survive it.
Dude survived being completely robbed of oxygen. Dunno what's crazier than that.
@@thorodinson6625 dude defied all laws of physics.
This is sick and so is this man’s amazing and deep Voice
A what if series of the godzilla franchise would be a blast, it’s just so fun to wonder how would humans would deal with the titans when godzilla is gone
They would have made mechagodzilla out of his body rather than Gidoriah, at least in the monsterverse movies. Hopefully, this time it would actually work. Though a Kong v Gidoriah would have been interesting, if short lived.
I think "What If Ghidorah won" would be cool.

How does he manage to make "Plot Armor!" sound so EPIC 😎
He just straight up went up a building. Well that’s what I assume happened. But what do I know. You could be right too tbh
kong couldn’t find the axe and he had to be quick so he just used the crane to distract him
Nope confirmed in the novel and novel writer Godzilla was knocked down not out, Kong saw Godzilla getting up so he didn't have enough time to search for the axe.
@@silverandgold4351 The novel has a lot of differences from what happens on screen. I wouldn’t deem it reliable. 💀
For me, he is still tough especially his thick scales. Killable (without plot armor that is) but difficult.
Speaking all the facts. The movie speaks for itself really. The overcharge was put there to save him.
I think it’s cause Kong practically returned the atomic energy to Godzilla
@@kiyoshi3313Nah that scene had plot armour for Kong. Thanks to MecaGodzilla, we now know that humans can make a device capable of taking on Godzilla himself, if they have access to a good enough power source (and since all we have to do is replicate the 'frequency' of the Hollow Earth power source, somebody out there can probably do it again).

And King Kong is one of the top dogs. He’s not weak
@@justinlopezmack6891 did you just say Godzilla vs Kong sexual instead of origins "(\skull/)"
@@Algeriawindows69 No he said it correct. Godzilla is a sexual Tyrannosaurus, we all know it!
he kicked kong's ass without any plot armor tho
Yea, especially when most of the time its humanity itself that doesnt let godzilla do his job. i feel like people keep underestimating how powerful he is
Out of most cases mentioned, that's not plot armor, that's humans helping out in order to save humanity. That's called team work.
That's...what plot armor is....
No shit mate. But The point of the video is whether Godzilla could have 1v1'ed them and came out victorious.
Imagine if destroyah was added to the franchise godzilla will need a huge does of plot armor
dose ☝🏾
yeah
A prime example of plot armor saving the King would have to be the final battle in Godzilla: Final Wars against Keizer Ghidorah. He would have been screwed if not for the main character sharing some of his energy
Muto finding radioactive material without a prope fight or self destruction is in itself a plot armour 😂
There’s another one:
After Kong won his second round with Godzilla, he could’ve finished him off as he was unconscious for a short while.
But instead Kong chose to climb a building and wait for Godzilla to awake… 🤷🏼
ooh, there's an idea for another what-if... what if Kevin hadn't gotten distracted by the puny humans while he was trying to rearrange kong's face with his spinning tail? :D
I don’t think Godzilla was unconscious he was knocked down I think because he got up in a few seconds
He never was unconscious also he was barely really hurt to be honest.
@༄ɪɴd᭄ԲɿՐ૯ ꧂ just like these zilla fans thinking that he had a chance against mecha godzilla
If the axe didn't overcharge he would've just died from it getting lodged into his skull right there lol
Shin godzilla:"
What is plot armor?"
