You are welcome, and its a good steering upgrade, i have enjoyed it. The tir rod took some hits off roading from sliding off of some rocks, and it took the hits well with no issues.

I’ve had the same HD steering kit and I had to replace my drivers side tie rod after 3 years. The grease boot disintegrated and tore in half. Not that impressive however, the the kit is decent. The metal is high quality and that counts.
3 years isn't bad for the price, i have smacked mine on rocks many times and it has held up. With it siffing up the steering and being able to take a beating on the rocks, to me its 100% worth the money. And its is affordable compared to other companies at that.
I Like your no BS opinion. I’m looking for HD steering kit. i went to crossover steering on a 5.5” lift and have had nothing but alignment issues and death wobble. I just ordered a HD kit from extreme terrain but it’s back ordered. How is your steering down the road? .
Thank you i appreciate that. I haven't had any issues at all with it. I also changed out my ball joints to the American iron ball joint deletes, so i dont have any wobble of any kind. For what i paid i cant complain, i have hit the tie rod on rocks many times wheeling as well and no issues at all even with the abuse.

Great video, I've used PLENTY of Gaston's stuff (ruff country) sorry, it's always held up just fine, Never been one to follow crowds or listen to people whom get paid to speak on products, it's like listening to these dummies tell other dummies that you need 1 ton axles for 40" tires 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😅😅😂😂😂 seriously, I'm like keep wasting your money, I've been on 40s for I don't know how many yrs , mudding, running power lines, and rock crawling on STOCK 44s . Anyway, I fully agree with what you said bro, 👍👍
Exactly, why spend the money if you dont need to. We run 38s on my wifes with a dana 30 up front. But you know .... you cant do that right... it will blow up right... 🤣🤣🤣

I have actually seen more MC longarms breaking vs RC. 🤷♂️ i shop with both but RC has been building suspensions longer and will sponsor drivers. Metalcloak sponsors no one. 🤘🇺🇸 Nice Jeep. Yeah, i agree, i have the same basic setup. And i wheel the snot out of it and have never had an issue at all. Full flexed it many times without worries or problems. I think most people think because you spend less on it you are cutting corners and dont have the money to really do it right and your just wanting to "fit in" but to be honest everyone i have ever wheeled with that has RC beats on in hard as hell and the high end rigs are always so scared to damage there over priced rigs.
How is the ride on the highway--at 60-75MPH? Does your Jeep feel sketchy at that speed? What I mean by that is does the jeep feel "planted" at the speed without excessive wandering (wind/bumps) and "over-sensitive" steering where the jeep feels sort of "swayey" at speed. My 03 TJ feels that way with 4-inch RC X-lift, HD track bars, steering stabilizer, 35-inch tires etc...,. About the only thing not upgraded is my steering (still stock) which I believe is the weak point now and is contributing to my "very sketchy" highway manners. I would never let my young teenage daughters drive this Jeep because it is a handful to keep pointed straight down the highway. Does your Jeep TJ feel like that? Let me know--thank you
No, mine does not do that at all. 70, it runs smoothly, even at 80 i have no issues. What i would do is make sure that your drag link and track back run at the same angle. If they dont have the same degree, then you will get bump steer. So if you have a drop pitman arm but your track bar wasn't relocated or visas versa, you will have issues with that. Also make sure your track bar is adjusted correctly, if you disconnect one side then jump up and down on the bumper drive it back and forth in tbe drive way a few times then see if the track bar goes back on with no issues, if it doesn't, then adjusted it to were the hole lines up and reinstall the bolt. You shouldn't have to fight the track bar into place. If that isn't the issue then i would definitely upgrade the steering and chang out the American Iron ball joint deletes. They take about 500 miles to brake in and you will have a very "wondering jeep" for the first couple 100 miles, but after that you will have 0 issues. The ball joint deletes, and steering made a MASSIVE difference with my on road and off road handling. But first check that drag link and track bar first, then the track bars position, then go for steering and ball joint deletes. If it was mine that would be the order i would go in
I have any 99XJ and I bought this and installed it and the bar is too long. I’m gonna have to get someone to shorten it in order for my alignment to be done. Both my wheels are sticking out words because of the bars too long and the tie rods are bottoming out.
Thread your nut onto the bar, then take a hack saw or a Sawzall and cut the amount off that you need. Then, use the nut and thread it off to re set the cut threads. It's an easy fix if you have a Sawzall.
@@JeepTrailsandBarbells thanks man well that’s the thing the tie rods aren’t too long. They screw all the way in with the lock not as far up as it goes so I think with the issues I have to cut the bar about 1.5 inches shorter because on both sides of the tie rods are all the way in and the nut is all the way loose it goes. Unless I didn’t understand what you meant
@@JeepTrailsandBarbells we were able to get one wheel straight, the passenger did but then the driver side look like he was turning left, and there was no room for adjusting it shorter
@jaydonaguilar4882 you should have enough threads to cut them down as well. Just cut off 3/4 on each side and that will still leave you with plenty of threads. Im pretty sure i had that same issue and had to cut mine down as well. I just forgot about it to be honest until you just mentioned it. I think thr threads run 3" but double check to make sure. And cut 3/4 off a side and your good to go.
Yes you do, but its easy. You will have to drill out the knuckle with a 5/8 drill bit then ream it out to a certain point. Just put tape around the reamer so you dont past that that. Its really easy, just make sure you use plenty of cutting fluid or you will ruin the reamer.
@lilnos4986 yes 100% all you need is to buy a 5/8 drill bit, then drill out the knuckles and use cutting oil. You can buy the reamer off RC site and it tells you the depth that you need to ream it out to, so you can put tape on the reamer to make sure you dont go past that mark. Take it slow and easy using plenty of cutting fluid. It should take you about 5 or 10 minutes to drill and ream each side. And when you're done, you will be happy you saved all that money doing it yourself while gaining experience in the process. Just make sure you ream the correct end lol.
@lilnos4986 Good deal, glad to hear you knocked it out. And it's because the back spacing on the rim, depending on the lift and tire you run, you will rub when turning. And with the larger tie rod ends, the rim might have issues with going back on the hub and hitting the new larger tie rod ends.

I'm not sure. Mine went as easy as can be. Just use cutting oil and take it slow. If you dont use cutting oil your going to have issues.
