Transforming thrift finds: my bag full of thrift flips

I'm so nervous and excited for this new journey I'm about to take with sewing. It's been over 5 years since I touched a sewing machine. So I can use all the help I can get and hopefully inspire others to get backninto it as well.

Put a little carpet cleaner in the wash for that yellow dress. I use it all the time in my wash

Is the carpet cleaner going to help with the zipper or that's for stains? I was able to get the stain out with oxyclean. Now I just gotta figure out straightening the zipper.

Some ideas for the cute-fun printed skirttt: a romper but oversized with tie straps, a short bubble babydoll dress, or could shorten the skirt and make a top out of what you cut to make a matching two piece set (also could make it into shortss for the two piece set!)
