Since I only do reviews of games I've done playthroughs for, they are always positive (because I only make playthroughs of games I like) so I try to explain why I like the game. Love this game. Played with several player counts (2-5) and always raced 6 cars. No race felt lacking for players. The AI is so simple to run. Looking at the car, gear stick and deck spaces in the box insert and the grid numbers on the boards, I think we can expect 2 more cars to be added soon. Very excited for that and other expansions. Great review and brilliant playthrough too Shaggi.

Thank you for your playthrough and review! It is hyped everywhere and I wanted to check what this game is about. We have it in preorder now and I was anxious that miss something. That is the first game in the theme I am not interested in. I easily see it as a good online game on BGA. Also, I see it as a great game for a group of people who are interested in Formula as my friends are with a lot of emotions. But for solo, it looks personally for me kinda empty for the emotions I seek for and story I am looking for. It looks to me more like simple arithmetics plus probabilities if you play safe or gamble with strange and spontenous management of the deck so you can discard heat occasionally to receive some heat for further actions
Heat is probably my favorite game in the last decade or so! So yeah, I agree with the hype. Great review of the subtleties of the game!

I've played just about every racing game that people have said was good: Rallyman GT, Formula D, Downforce. Heat is the best, I think its the only one that's even good
Thanks for watching, Kevin! I agree Heat is the best. I also like Downforce at 3p and 6p. But it definitely requires a table that knows how to play and won't create runaway winners.
Now we just have to wait to actually being able to but i here in EU. No chance to get it and import is waaaay to expensive :/
My LFG told me that no german publisher was interested in translating and publishing it over here...until it got raving feedback at Spiel '22 and blew up over at BGG xD
That sucks. If they are smart they will distribute this game quickly before the heat wears off. 🙂
