Don’t know how I missed this one! Love your set of alarms, LOL. I should def follow your lead with the personalized “Seriously, you need to…” Feel bad that you had a such a long trip home, knowing you were getting sick.
I get my Italian and Spanish mixed up sometimes! 😩 In Italian, a C before an E or I makes the “ch” sound. And I’m better at Italian, hence the mix up 😅
Thanks!! And you can thank my dad for that one! Growing up, whenever we went on trips, we didn't have a wake up time, we had an "A.I.S." - or "ass in seat" - time. What time you woke up was up to you, but if you weren't in the car by the AIS time, you were in trouble 😂
Always nice find little work gems. Beef empanada. Look like our Pasty in UK. Look as tasty as you❤️. Vanity side lighting agree. Happy Hour meal looks delicious.
Missed you Jenny! I guess you're feeling better by now I hope :) Hey please no worries about filming while trudging through the airport! It's amazing how you all do it! Enjoyed the vlog btw! Hehe I got such a kick out of the "Ass Out Door" reminder on your phone! :)
Have you done a video about the logistics of being a commuter? I'd love to learn more about how you make that work, troubles you run into, and if you would recommend it. At what point in your FA career can you be a commuter?
There is a great empanada place here in Las Vegas, with awesome chimichurri sauce too, if you ever fly to Vegas? It's called: Made In Argentina Cocina Argentina & Mediterranea. It's only like a 5-10 minute drive/ride from LAS and not on the strip. They also have other food. Cheers!
Great video. So are you feeling 100% after your battle with bronchitis or whatever was making your throat sore. Santa Domingo was gorgeous with the beach and the ocean, so gorgeous
There are these mini room hotel setups with what looks like a small bubble type bed in DFW Airport that you can rent for like up to 8 hours. They should let a flight attendant/ pilot/crew member like yourself have a complimentary stay for up to 8 hours so you aren’t stuck in a crew room. I think they probably have similar type facilities in most large major airports.
They have those in PHL and other airports, too. They aren’t complimentary though. A lot of crew members get hotel rooms overnight but I’m getting married in May and also need a new vlogging camera so I can’t justify spending that money when I can stay in the crew room.
@@jennyyernstt That is too bad about not giving you all comps in those places, you certainly spend enough money in those air ports. Congrats on your pending nuptials and safe travels.
Meat and agriculture has to be declared just like with passengers. As long as it’s unopened packaged food, I don’t have any issues. Sometimes they make me toss my prepped meals and sometimes they don’t.
@@jennyyernstt thanks for the reply! I appreciate seeing and understanding what FAs have to go through to do their jobs. Does this typically mean you could grab one of the packaged meals at TJs and take it international without much fuss? That's super convenient.
I did one a few years ago, but I could try to do an updated one that would also explain the nuances of how we get paid! It can get kind of complicated 🙈
Jenny!!! It’s been forev!!! How’s life? Been thinking about you, and was wondering what happened to you and why you didn’t update the past few months. How’s your throat? How did you manage to get bacterial bronchitis? I am going to send a link to you on here, so you can read about it. This article comes from sedar Sinai hospital in Chicago. You poor thing! I feel so bad for you! It’s never fun having to take a week off from your trip you had planned to work, and then having to be home. I hope they are giving you sick leave, so you can still get paid when you are at home, even though your sick. Always remember, anytime you start to feel sick, take vitamin C. Vitamin C is really good for sore throats and coughs. Also, gargle with salt water, because that salt water will help to fight off the bacterial bronchitis. I had bronchitis once, and I was like “oh dear god, am I going to have to stay home and stay in bed and not do the stuff I had planned. So trust me, I know exactly how you feel. Most important thing to remember during trips, is to take care of your health. I would encourage you to always carry band-aids, alcohol swabs, nose spray, eye drops, ibuprofen, or Zyrtec, tums (for an upset stomach), and vitamin C. If you go to Costco, they sell this vitamin called “Mature Multi, which has several vitamins in one big pill. Also, make sure you always keep antibacterial disinfecting wipes wherever you go, so you can touch stuff using wipes, so you don’t get all the nasty germs that people put on things like door handles, shopping carts, etc. I would also encourage you to wipe down everything if you stay in a hotel, because you never know what germs might be left from previous people. My last and final advice for you, would be to always keep a small bottle of hand sanitizer and a small pack of masks with you. If you go on a road trip, make sure you keep a bottle of hand sanitizer in your car, so once you come back to your car from a grocery store or wherever else you may have been, you can disinfect your hands to kill any viruses or bacteria that is outside. Are you planning to get the booster for the Pfizer vaccine? I vaguely recall that you got both doses of the Pfizer vaccine. I would highly encourage you to get the booster shot ASAP, as you are considered an “Essential worker”. Anyways, hope your staying safe from this current situation that we are in, and with the two variants that are out, which are super dangerous. P.S. here’s the link to the cedar Sinai hospital article about bacterial bronchitis! www.cedars-sinai.org/health-library/diseases-and-conditions/b/bronchitis.html Oh by the way, I forgot to ask you how Laya and Zeus are doing. I saw your screen saver of them, and they are both so incredibly photogenic! The cutest little things!! Hopefully they get along with each other! The best way to get them used to each other, is by putting them in the same room and letting them play with each other!
Hi Jenny! Just a suggestion, but do you think your throat issues may be due to constantly wearing the mask? We are mandated to wear masks at work, but I have to pull it down, if nobody is around. Stay safe! 🛫🤪

Pleasure working with you on this trip! We had a good but tiring time! All the best ☺️
It was such a fun trip! Definitely won’t be trying to work another four day any time soon though 😅 hopefully we’ll get to fly together again soon!
I love your vlogs Miss Jenny. You rock as a flight attendant. Happy safe travels. ✈️

Wow what a pack 4 days. I am a light sleeper and I know of the struggles of not being able to sleep bcos of the ambience noise or light.
The Fiji Apple Pear Celsius is my favorite! You have to try it next time ❤️
Flying American in March!! fingers crossed for Jen as a flight attendant!!!

You can be a commuter whenever. Although it’s not recommended as a reserve because it’s quite difficult.

Love your vids. Class 21-01(?) here. I have to give you props for being a commuter for so long. How much longer do you plan on being a commuter?
This is my last month! I was awarded my transfer back to CLT starting October 1st
Couldn’t you wear a ring to cover the tattoo while working ? 😁

The first place I had empanadas was at MIA, LOL!

Thank you! 🥰
loved this video! hope to see more
Had a 2.5 hour Mia sit and found that vendor. They either stopped selling those celsius drinks or they were completely out of them
Hopefully they were only out! I rely on those when going through MIA 😅
I’m sorry you’ve been ill.
Thank you!
Best channel around. Thanks for sharing your adventures
Other people’s noise is my pet peeve as well.
I need to set an “ass out door” alarm before my van times 😂
It’s a lifesaver!! 😅
Is international flying now getting busier?
Somewhat. Summer travel is coming to an end though and the Delta variant is keeping a lot of people home. So flying overall is slowing down.
On international trips do you ever have issues with bringing your own food in?
Meat and agriculture has to be declared just like with passengers. As long as it’s unopened packaged food, I don’t have any issues. Sometimes they make me toss my prepped meals and sometimes they don’t.

Hey Jenny, did you ever get that tattoo? Asking for a friend.
What tattoo?
*high five* hazy IPA.
Great take raw garlic for your throat !
Ouch, does your airline allow tattoos on your fingers?
We have to cover any visible tattoos. So I have tattoo concealer for it when I’m flying
That sucks, it's really cool, but ouch it must have hurt with so many nerves in your fingers
Wasn’t too bad. It only lasted a couple minutes.
