I worked on 9/11 had a 3 day trip and it was a tough day, especially being based in NYC. I'm proud to be a flight attendant and 9/11 reminds be why I serve. As a Marine and Soldier now a flight attendant I'm grateful everyday we get 🙏🏾 Great vlog
For hair fall/loss not related to thyroid (since you have already checked that), I recommend several things. Biotin 5,000 mcg but beware, some brands cause women to have acne flares. I use Nature's Best and have not had any issues. Second, NeoCell Keratin Hair Volumizer that is collagen plus other goodies for hair and nails. Third, minoxidil mousse (Walgreens has generic but Rogaine is a popular brand name). Fourth, if it persists, see a dermatologist. We have hair growth and loss cycles and if you get sick or stressed, it can lead to a longer loss phase. But a dermatologist can verify and maybe check up on other causes.
Thank you!! Pretty confident it was just a reaction to the Olaplex since the fallout stopped when I stopped the Olaplex. I’ve started taking 5000 biotin a few weeks ago and have already noticed a big difference in my nails! So I’m hopeful in time I’ll see a difference in my hair as well. 😊
Can clearly see how raw and emotional 9/11 is for you Jenny so just wanted to send 💙💙 to you and all your colleagues in the airline industry. Funny you mentioned your hair as I was going to say how nice it looked when it was down at the hotel room in Fort Myers! 😍
I always find 9/11 difficult; I was in NYC on that horrid day and a friend was seriously injured. But you are doing the right thing, working through it and showing that no amount of attacks or terrorism can stop people living life. Much love to you.
I don't have great advice on the hair other than get some labs run and maybe take a collagen supplement? Just letting you know you aren't alone! I lost a ton of hair last year after having some surgeries. Apparently you can lose a ton of hair when there is a lot of stress on your body. Who knew? It's so hard as a woman to see chunks of hair coming out. You'll get through this!
Your channel appeared on my Home Screen, and I thought I’d take a look. You’re really good at presenting and it’s nice to find someone interesting on here! Hello from LHR, London U.K. 👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼
I understand about 9/11 I am a retired fireman in Kentucky and I was on duty and watched it as it happened. God bless you and thank you for your hard work
Thanks for yet another awesome video! Your flight attendant stories are always interesting and your battles with anxiety / depression are inspirational. I'd love to follow you on Instagram, but I haven't gotten into it yet. You almost make me want to, though. 😀
My husband and I just returned from a trip where, because of crew issues, our flight was cancelled. Thankfully, they got us out on the next (and final) flight of the night. However, we are both elderly and the 4+hour delay was difficult.
I think any of us that don’t cry about September 11 are-very hard people. I cry on that day, before and after and live in the Midwest; don’t fly for a living. I get why it hits you harder. Take care. 💜
Babe….look for a micro blade place you like and see if they have opportunities for model client. I had mine done by a student under very watchful eye of main artist for $50. My daughter had hers done for free by a senior student… both had great results!
Here's some magic for your hair: 5 to 8 walnuts a day (3 to 4 if you're prone to eczema). No more hair falling out, richer thicker and more beautiful hair. True stuff. Loads of other benefits too!
Thank you!! I have a list of foods that are supposed to help with hair growth, and nuts are on there! I’ll definitely be incorporating more walnuts specifically into my diet to see if those help
I use the conditioner for olaplex and not shampoo. I have hashimoto’s thyroiditis so I have fine, thin hair as well. The shampoo made my hair greasy and it did lose a lot of hair. Now I use redken shampoo with the olaplex conditioner and olaplex style creme
I know it's hard when 9/11 comes. I still remember where i was and what i was doing that horrible day and it still breaks my heart and i'm sure a bunch of other peoples hearts as well
Consider trying Formulate. It has been a gamechanger for me and I have hair thinning from perimenopause. I take supplements of Collagen, Biotin and BioSil along with vitamin C and some antioxidants. Formulate is one of the custom hair care companies, but their questionnaire was really thorough and they allow you to get a smaller size and spend less money to try it than other companies. My hair tends to be fine, flyaway frizzy, has been highlighted, and needs thermal protection. I have been able to have it longer and looking far nicer with Formulate. I was very skeptical at first, the shampoo is runny and just kind of a weird texture. But I do a double wash on it, which they advise for better cleaning, every other day and use about 1/3 the amount of conditioner afterwards. It has made my hair feel heavier and thicker, very good stuff IMO.
Pilot staffing has been bad throughout the summer as I’m sure you’re aware. Training department only recently finished training those furloughed oct 1. Usually there would be an abundance of short call reserves but now sched. Is dependent on reassignments and there aren’t many pilots available for reassignment. First new hire class started on the 8th. Next one starts on the 22nd but these pilots won’t hit the line until December. These pilots are all going to either airbus LAX or 737 LGA. The fall downturn of leisure travel and lack of business travel with a reduced schedule will help with staffing until the holidays. Also the 10 hours of rest isn’t a contractual thing, it’s FAR 117 implemented as a result of the Colgan crash in 2009. Prior to that rest requirements were 9 hours and could be reduced to 8 hours.
Jenny - If you are still concerned about your beautiful lockes, there is a TH-cam lady who follows a carnivore diet The Meaters is channel name. Her hair thickened when she changed her diet to meat/carnivore. Also the bone brothers on Y-T says that stuff cures 20 things you didn't even know we're wrong with you. I've started bone brothing and it definitely does something. Good luck.
A TH-camr I watch, busybeingjen, had a video on June 15 2021 about reviewing a product that regrows hair. It’s called Regrowz and is a hair treatment system that actually regrows hair. I haven’t needed it but it has worked for her.
I take 10000 mcg of biotin and vital protein collagen to regrow my hair. I have pcos and hairloss is an issue. It took about 4 months but now I have a ton of regrowth.
Thank you!! I’ve been taking 5000 biotin for a couple weeks now and have already noticed a big difference in my nails so I’m hopeful I’ll notice a difference in my hair in time! I have collagen but I’m horrible about taking it on the regular 😅 might have to set daily reminders lol
@@jennyyernstt haha i put it in my coffee/protein in the morning. Its on the counter right next to my coffee making stuff so I dont forget. It definitely takes time. Im about 4 months in and im at the "looks like I stuck my finger in the lightsocket" stage
Nutritional deficiencies cause hair loss. Zinc deficiency contribute to hair loss. Other deficiencies also make you lose hair. Steak, lamb meat and liver are nutrient dense foods which contain zinc; so eat those.
As I mentioned in the video, it was a reaction to Olaplex. I stopped using Olaplex and the fallout stopped. I have a pretty well-rounded diet, just a sensitive little scalp lol
For sure have your hormones checked and it sounds like you may have adrenal fatigue..so you must stop the sugar and caffeine. The hair falling out is a serious warning…like the canary in the coal mine.
Jenny, for hair growth, have you tried the Caffeine Shampoo? Not sure what brands are available in the US but in Europe, there is Alpecin. I use it and I genuinely believe it helps...
Good morning, Jenny and happy Monday!😊😊😊😊😊☀. I hope you had fun on the weekends and it was fantastic!💙💙💙💙💙💙. Also, today, when the passengers are waiting at the airport, they will wait for 20 minutes or more to see what their destination hours will be. So...yeah. Plus, Fall is coming on Wednesday at 3:20 pm 🍂💙 and the leaves will change colors when the temperature drops! YAY!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉. Thyroid ck: retired nurse and thyroid patient since age 23. Affects hair and especially outer third of eyebrows. Am 67 now, three kids since and full life: treated and on supplement. Get checked.
As I mentioned in the video, it was a reaction to Olaplex. I stopped using Olaplex, the hair fallout stopped. I’ve had my thyroid checked multiple times in regards to my hair, every time it comes back fine.
Yeah I’ve heard some people have crazy reactions to olaplex 😅 I haven’t (I use olaplex), like my hair loss didn’t change, but maybe living proof would be good?
I have a question for ya. If you are assigned reserve, and crew scheduling calls, and it may not be a city you desire. Can you turn it down, or you have to go? May have to stay in good grace with them. 🤔
Keto was developed to help reduce seizures in epileptic patients. It’s not for everyone and is a very drastic diet change for most people. The only person who should be recommending it is someone’s personal doctor/dietitian/health professional. 🙂
@@jennyyernstt if you mean developed by ancient greeks then yes, however the majority of medical professionals have no idea what it is, and even less idea how the body works, Hence the obesity epidemic. 80% of metabolic issues are substantially helped by Keto, cancer, type Ii diabetes, dementia and coronary heart disease. LOL ok. I’ve done extensive research on it and took multiple nutrition classes. You’re so misinformed, it’s not even funny. I’m not going to argue with you. But I am going to reiterate that you, a person who does not know my body/health, should not be recommending specific dietary measures for me, especially something as drastic as an entirely new diet.
