The gallery actually mentions that "Gilgamesh" is a type of metal found in the underworld. The weapon in 4 and the tank in 5 are made from that metal. That's how it's fused with the tree and why its "heart" is a Qliphoth blood clot.

So I’m a very casual fan of this series overall, and this game is a 10 for me as well.
I enjoyed one upon release, 2 is one of the few games I immediately sold back before beating, and I played the way too difficult version of 3 so I never went back to it. Didn’t play 4 or reboot.
This game really nails combat in an almost fighting game way. The story and numerous cutscenes really nail the balance between genuinely cool moments / cheese. I’m on the first hard difficulty and am super grateful that it changes enemy placements instead of solely buffing health bars.
Lots of neat extra features, especially with the deluxe edition as well. Ability to change battle music to old game tracks, full cutscene viewers, those glorious b-movie production cutscenes... it’s a solid purchase.
It’s lovely that we got two respectful, well made, fan love service capcom games roughly a month apart.
I love how the initial segment is set up so that no matter what Dan says in his review he will inevitably stick out like a sore thumb because the other three's reviews scale in height of praise like a staircase so unless he says, it is the greatest game of all time he loses. It's probably my favourite moment in the entire spoilercast.

There were no bad bosses, not a single one was bad and even the worst was “goodish-mid”
the worst boss in this game still beats out like a third of the dmc3 bosses and half of the dmc4 bosses imo. and the best bosses in this game are as good if not better than the other games highlights
the only “goodish-mid” boss in DMC 5 is gilgamesh in my opinion
even then as a visual spectacal is was great, it was a damn Halo boss@@69Kazeshini

There are only really two things I didn't really like. I prefer Nero's DT from 4 and was hoping to see that again. And secondly I'm sad V wasn't Mundas's son. I really liked V as a character and it sucks he probably won't be returning. Also both Nero and Dante received powerups and new abilities through the story, but not V. Imagine if later in the game V gets a powerup and now he can fight alongside his summons, that would have been insane.
V does get a lightsaber.
V can parry with his cane and that's the tightest shit
That final boss fight is absolutely meant to be a better version of the DmC one.
Coming back from the astral chain spoilercast makes me sad on how positieve they were here and now knowing it wasn’t as good as they hoped it to be.

Oh I thought of a question for you guys. Of all the playable characters in this game, which one was your favorite to play and figure out their combos?
yeah, dmc5 is probably the greatest action game of all time, and the game of the generation. literally my only problem with it (besides QOL stuff like loading screens and hidden orbs not being listed) is that V becomes less and less fun to play as the more times i play the game, even though on the first playthrough he was enjoyable. he just pales in comparison to nero and dante and lacks depth/variety.
The mechanics of the summon fight Feel mentioned are definitely in devil hunter mode.
also vergil's hair is so dumb it doesn't even look like normal slicked back hair, it's like a vegeta thing where it just stands back awkwardly like a hedgehog
