Because of this movie, there are now real "School of Rock" after school programs here in the U.S. A few of my friends have their kids enrolled, and they play at real concert venues. It's amazing!
Actually those were around before the movie came out and paramount almost got sued over it but the movie did give a ton of publicity to those schools
Fun fact: The kids are actually musicians and can play their instruments. They all did a 10 year anniversary with Jack Black and they all rocked. Happy Easter Viki and Lia

School of Rock is the best rock and roll movie of all time. I love the kids playing and having fun, the actors were amazing and Jack Black is the best guitarist. RIP to Kevin Clark who played Freddie in the movie

I taught a class on building plastic models, every Saturday for seven years. Some of my 'kids' stayed until they graduated from high school. Parents wanted to know what my secret was that got their kids so excited for this class, than regular school. Because they had a passion for what they were doing, and took that passion on to other things; I was only there to guide. We talked about everything under the sun while making things with our hands. I looked forward to it as much as they did. One boy took his passion with him to MIT.

Yes he was riding his bike at night and was hit by a passing motorist, sad very sad & may he rest in peace...
Well he was ridding his bike when a car hit him, then he goes to the hospital where unfortunately he died because the impac probably he didn’t tolerate very well. They tried to save his life.
That's totally heartbreaking
this movie was so influential in our country,, so influential that they even formed their band of kids here in our city, they were joining the battle of the bands, and ofcourse it took them awhile to win, but they were instant favorites.
This movie was so inspirational that an actual chain of School of Rock schools were created.
yeah there's a documentary I have on DVD called Rock School.
The movie is based on the school program, it already existed.

There is now a school of rock across the US where kids can learn how to Rock. I have one near my house where kids can go. And they also perform one of the days at Lollapalooza.

According with jack black, he talk with Led Zeppelin for use the song inmigrant song for the movie and he did it, in fact, Led Zeppelin is known for not letting their songs be used in anything, be it movies or covers

My siblings used to be in the band class. My brother the drummer and my sister the guitarist. After their done, they moved on for better. Music means everything for them. But they have work and support their future. They will play music again. Until the right time.

As ridiculous as he is acting to character, Jack Black (Mr. S.) Is an extremely talented musician. He's one of those guys that will forever be known for his versatility as a person in any profession, situation, comedy, interview etc.

Trivia note: The writer of this movie is a man named Mike White, who also created the series The White Lotus. White also competed on 2 Seasons of The Amazing Race with his father (Seasons 14 & 18), & he competed on Survivor's 37th Season. Well, much of The White Lotus is based on White's experiences on these game shows given how in them Americans traveled to exotic locations while taking part in cutthroat competitions with each other.
