necropolis streets is really good for farming exiled mages too, if you spawn at the southern side of the map most of the time theres either an exiled mage or a loot chest.
Bro I just farmed Mage like 30 times in necro street for the mad alchemist ladel after you recommended your frost claw beginner build to me in-game the other day and finally got it! Still have a few more piece to grab, but loving it so far, ty!
I can confirm this stil being valid for 1.1. Tested with Lakeside Trails in Lagon Mono. Spawn point is now also shared with Nemesis. My first run was discouraging and I thought it was not valid. Did like 6 Lakesides close to Mono start, nothing. Called it quits. Later I stumbled upon a Lakeside Trail next to Orobys and I am hitting Mages every other try. Still no Laddle though :P but I guess I will be busy now
ive got 200 hours in the game and have just recently realized ive been playing like a noob and ignoring entire mechanics wondering why i always hit a wall. you and raxx are mvp's
Lagonian Arena also has a Mage that is visible in bottom left corner of the inital spawn minimap, so no running around needed to see if there is one. Comparing Lakeside to Lagonian, Lagoinian seemed reasonably compareable in terms af Mage spawn rates (around 30-35% in my hands) but probably not as efficient overall. I occasionally got swarmed a little by Arena monsters that spawned after I moved toward the Mage and would need to clear a bit before engaging the mage or trying to exit after killing him. Also a little more dicey if there are prophecy drops to factor in. Your 50% mage rate is awesome but 7 2LP's in an hour? That's crazy good compared to what I was able to do. Congrats on the results and thanks a ton for doing the data work. The LE world is a better place with you at the stick
Yeah that was another one I saw mentioned a lot, I didn't look the idea of stuff attacking while doing stuff but it might be okay! A big chunk of that LP was likely the 3k corruption to be fair, and I think the mage rate would probably have been a fair bit lower too, haven't done a lower corr run to compare.
Freaking RNG sucks I did this a while ago got only 1LP and 2LP ones Then moved to MG and bought a 4LP one for cheap because the seller forgot to add a zero to the price lol, i have 2 ready to go bases bit never slammed it for some reason 🤷🏻♂️ I play offline these days with all 4LP gear 😏 no slamming stress anymore 😌
Thanks again and again for this high quality content Frozen! A quick doubt, how do you set up the Red Ring on the loot filter? I go into it, go to rings and uniques, and the Red Ring won't appear as an option... Any idea? Thanks a lot for this exile mage farming! Gonna do it today for like 5hs lol

If you are in an echo T should take you out of the echo to the map device thing, only if you use T outside of an echo should it take you to town. If that's not the case sounds like you might have found a bug
At any corruption you'll get more mage items than just playing normally, there isn't really a "breakpoint". If you specifically want these items you'll want to do this setup with as much corruption as possible

I did mention it, but didn't find it as good as Lakeside. Can do another test at some point though.

you feel the further echos have higher chance? I thought that too before but when I tested in 1.0 I didn't get any difference, maybe a 1.1 change

Devoured Armoury has been good for me. You always start in the circle room and there is a cache or mage in that room.
Just tryied it, 0 spawns for me. Probably ported in and out like 20 times or more.

How do you avoid TP to town? Pressing T always bring me to town and it is slow.

@@FrozenSentinel I'm pretty sure it's an offline thing. Which is kinda lame because it means you need to play online to farm mages efficiently lol

Your 2nd best option is probably to press M and port to the Monolith instead of opening a portal and walking through.
