Watching your video was an absolute delight….. Thank you..! …In addition to leaning a great deal from your explanations, I’m convinced that The Shirley Fabrication Cookers are the best of the best. Again, thank you for sharing. D, from Sarasota FL….
Hey man, what a really fantastic video when I am ready for a Shirley I’m going to get a model very similar to yours. Please keep the content coming. Really appreciate it.
That smoker and your patio both look fantastic! I haven’t used a Shirley smoker, but with mine I build a bigger fire and use the vents to throttle the heat
@@EmergencyRibz I don’t know who built mine. I found it at a estate sale. It’s a little smaller than yours and not nearly as nice but it’s made some good grub
Great video! My only criticism would be that you open and leave the doors open way too long. The longer they are open, the more the smoker has to work to get back up to temp! Open it up to add wood, and shut that thing back down! You can dramatically reduce a cook time by simply managing this, otherwise, great video!!!
Hey Bruh glad to see Your first cook on the new smoker. I watched the vid when you first got it and I know You had to be super excited to cook in that baby. Congrats and I look forward to seeing more of your cooks. I can't wait until I get the call that mine is ready for pickup.
@emergencyribz1466 In September of 2022. I was glad to hear you say in your video that you made payments on yours while waiting. That's what I am doing since you said that. I was just putting money to the side but I like what you said better.
I also have the meater probes and they were a pain in the A@@! So I said to he'll with it and stayed with an old school wired temp probes I have. Beautiful smoker amd good content! New subscriber!
Beautiful Shirley, I have a smaller patio version. I always find smaller logs ( coke can diameter) work better, that and build a bigger charcoal bed. Just my experience....
Yes sir. Took me a little while to figure that one out. Just got a new load of splits and they are smaller in diameter. Can't wait to use them. Thanks for watching brother!
I love that cooker! Makes me want one. If I may offer a critique, I believe Kip may have been referring to starting the chimney of charcoal first, then putting the wood in after dropping the charcoal. Either way, new sub for ya here. Cheers!
I think you putting your wood splits in the warmer is ingenius ! Also if your a bbq sauce conisuer like me try head country original and there apple habanero
Yo Man love your beast of a smoker, like the wheels it roll on, (it remind my of a low rider). Having fun learning how to use your smoker. Learn how to take control of your, (intake, and how to place your pile for oxygen). Ride hard - smoke hard! Good luck.
Great video. Took me a few days to get through in chunks with kids and work grabbing at my time. You really have that shirley rocking. The beef shank came out looking perfect after the oven rest. I like how you showed the way to thread a thermoworks probe through and get yourself setup with the smoke unit. I have both the signals and smoke, depending on wifi, but the temp probes are the same. Nice display presentation showing how to adjust the dampers and chimney for air flow and smoke. When are you putting the big Dino plate ribs on Mr Practitioner of ribs? PO q13h #4 Keep the videos coming. You're going to be an all star
Greetings! I enjoyed watching your video. QUESTIONS: 1) How much did you pay for this beautiful rig? 2) Have you ever towed it, and how does it handle on the road?
@@EmergencyRibz nice! Keep the vids coming. I have a older pit I'm going to do beef ribs and a tomahawk on soon. Got my deposit in to Tyler though. Now for the long wait. Lol

Brother you are not playin. Did you build that garage just for your smoker? Only thing keeping me from getting one is space to store it.

You need to keep the fire box closed as much as possible. Close the draft down the wood will last longer and heat up better
