I've always been the quiet kid at school and this year (my Senior year) I decided to do something before I regret it. There's this girl, we'll call her Jenny and a buddy that I met this year, we're going to name him John. So Jenny is a girl that I met this year through extracurricular activities and I have her in my lit class. So John and I have been friends for close to 2 months (I met him through my Physics class and we know each other through a club at school too) and I've been friends with her close to 2 months. Okay, now with my question, I've recently been getting a feel for Jenny and you know, I think she's really pretty and has a great personality and is just downright awesome. John is a cool dude but he was a lot quicker than I was. He asked her to Homecoming today and I at first wasn't planning on asking her since it was too soon and too fast (I think) so I guess I lost in a way. I know friendships to expand and I think John and me will be good friends by say, in the next 3 months or so and same will apply to Jenny. So with all of that in mind, I start feeling awful. I've never been a very social guy and often am anxious talking to people but I honestly want to change. And this is where my confusion actually comes, after a homecoming, are they "dating" or is that just dependent on where they take it? Also, say they don't take it any further besides a homecoming and I ask her out to prom, would the relationship between me and John suddenly become awkward?
Thanks bro, I just think she's great, I know most guys will be like, DAMN THOSE CURVES DOE or something like that but I feel like I'm more of a guy looking for pure amazing, you know? The girl I'm talking about (Jenny) is just amazing lol. Her eyes are great, her motives are great, what she does to help people is great, what her ambitions are is great and I feel like we have all of that in common. I just don't have extended conversations with her just as I said before, I'm socially anxious and I absolutely hate that, I wish I was like other guys who just have an easier time at this.

I know how scary it can feel to be put on the spot like that but there will be more opportunities in the future. I know it may feel like you love her, (witch idk if you say you do or don't i am assuming so,) but love is a very strong word, and although you might have strong feelings for her, love has a completely different meaning than anything you have felt for anyone outside of your family, and honestly i, I believe that someone 5 states away, has no business saying that they love you, when you have never met in person, and may never meet in person. But do not stress, I remember middle school like it was yesterday and relationships are something that usually start developing in to something real that you can enjoy with another person about when you get to high school. Is it a girl or a boy you like. It seems that you change gender mid text. Just say something interesting that would give her a motive to answer. Try to look at the situation through her eyes. A random guy saids random shit that i give zero fux about. If you can, ask her out. You wont get killed if heshe would say no. You will live on and die old or horribly in an accident.

Ironically, I was in a somewhat similar situation. There was this one girl who I liked but she happened to like my friend, but my friend said he didn't like her like that and he said he would help her out and stuff. Well, I got her number, we texted for a week and a half, and last Saturday was the Homecoming dance when I was planning on making a move. Well, sadly, one of my other friends was drugged (he survived tho) so I was pre occupied with that, but once I found out he would be ok, I go to look for my girl, and guess what? Hey josh, my name is erik and i am a freshmen in high school and I stumbled upon your channel a few week s ago and it helped me SO much in better understanding the mechanics of how to get in a relationship, what girls want in a relationship, and how to be my best self in many situations. Back in early September, I started getting to know a girl (a junior in high school) who is in my marching band at a party I hosted (with many friends from marching band) and i asked her if she wanted to hang out around town the next day. She said yes, and we went around to several parks for about four and a half hours, just talking and getting to know each other more. At the end of that day the topic of homecoming was brought up and we decided (mutually) to go together! To go after a crush of his who happens to be a junior, it worked out anyway. After about a week after that we had just got done playing at one of the varsity football games and she asked if i wanted to be her boyfriend and i said yes! And i know that i have you to thank, because i used many tips that you taught in your videos and I realized things that i was doing wrong that caused me to not be in a real relationship before just two weeks ago.
