Do every switch capable of power devices over PoE can also be powered by it? All I need is a small 8-port switch that can work with no access to an power outlet.

Hi I have a question. I want to use a wireless WiFi signal for gaming but my wifi does not reach my room. It is a very good connection in the living room but it’s bad in every other room. So what is the best option for wireless WiFi extension for gaming? I have very thick walls. So Should I get powerline adapters and use their wireless WiFi, mesh WiFi or an external router instead of the router modem combo provided by virgin media (hub 3.0). I can’t really use Ethernet as it is not very practical or convenient for me.
    Thank you

It was hard to follow what you're describing without any visual references. Maybe some diagrams of the wiring and pictures of some of the products you reference. Thanks again!

Hi, very informative and learned quite a bit on POE.
I’ve a pressing need for a switch to connect 2 non-POE devices but I’ve no access to power supple for this switch.
Would it be possible to use the Ubiquity Nanoswitch N-SW 4 port POE with an injector for my purpose? Thanks
