    Hey Karl, thanks for raising a voice for us. Youre a BRAVE man! I know us immigrants don't have a chance to stand against the unjust behavior we are facing in this country. After working for 5 years in this country, paying thousands of dollars to be an engineer and working as a professional, still waiting for a year with 3 lodged EOIs Ive lost hope in Australia.. but its Australians like you who show some ray of hope.. I hope Australians realise what immigrants bring to this country and raise a voice for us because certainly we cant do anything for ourselves.

    • @bp24964
      @bp24964 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@troynguyen1346 the comment isn’t meant to compare my case to others. It just shows the current state - that there’s uncertainty even with what some people might consider a strong profile (which in my case is just not true, at least in the current system). The above only gives me 85 points (age and relationship status had an impact) because the current points system clearly doesn’t give enough importance to education and experience, but rather on irrelevant things like where you stay and NAATI. I understand the logic behind extra points for regional, but they don’t give you additional skills. The same goes for PY - when does a course give you a higher chance of getting a job compared to actually being in the industry?
      As for the global talent visa, not all of us have sponsors, and I don’t think everyone would be willing to fill the nomination form. 482? Again, that’s temporary and you’ll have to chase after another visa when that’s about to expire. Peace of mind is more important than just having a permit to stay.

    I’m confused why 261312/Developer Programmer is on the “definitely yes” list while 261313/Software Engineer is on the “uncertain” list. The job description is nearly identical. Any ideas? It’s as if they just picked the first one arbitrarily… not looking forward to potentially paying ACS more $$$ just for an arbitrary code change.

    I just saw some information regarding ACT conducting integrity check of their 190/491 visa applicants and visa holders to make sure they have fulfilled the residency commitment while signing the declaration. It seems that Karl’s video talking about withdrawing nomination due to visa applicants leaving states which nominated them still holds water today.
    I guess the best practice is if you are still waiting for your 190/491 grant, don’t relocate. After the grant though, do whatever you like.

      Also just to point out the occupation 262112 ICT Security specialist was conveniently removed from Anzsco code search and replaced by 5 Cyber occupations (Dated 22.11.22), and also not available in any of the Draft CSOL. This was not communicated by them. What is going to happen to those who applied with 262112? Just wondering if skillselect picks up those applicants with that code (which is not in the system).

      The list won’t even come into effect anytime soon. Timeline already suggests nothing will happen until at least end of 2024. You might even receive your 186 TRT grant before then.

Under current legislate, can I be considered positively for 482 or 484 subclass visas for sponsored occupation Mechanical Technician/Drafter, if I have qualification Mechanical Engineer, recognized by Engineers Australia, and proven work experience as an Engineer. It is the same engineering field, but with lower level of education required. Thanks.

    We are skilled partners, both with superior english, earning well over 300K combined, both occupations in IT and on Medium Long term skills list. Experience over 2 years onshore and 7 years offshore EACH. Living in Regional Australia, paying our taxes and sitting on a 482 awaiting a miracle for 189/190/491. The employer has a no 186 sponsorship policy, and here we are feeling hopeless through this immigration system and their politics. We seem to be the ideal migrants, both paying the govt back with our high paid jobs, superior engoish, job skills in demand and regional residence, i've given up on what more we could do to be invited for a PR or even to get an invitation to apply for one.

    • @ailsaustralia
      @ailsaustralia  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Your circumstances are difficult and hopefully will be releived after July with more regional places given out.
      The issue of employers using temporary workers on a long term basis but never sponsoring them for PR should be addressed for in the end it is just exploitation. There should be a pathway without the need for an employer to sponsor for PR for those who have been on a 482 for a long period

      All that 491 is for is carrot and stick visa holders into settling in regional Australia, nowadays you can even go to Perth Adelaide and even Gold Coast. All you can’t settle in are three major cities. You can still visit those big cities on holidays.

    • @estellebright2579

      At least JSA is fairly upfront about this. If those people who checks the list bother to read introductory and explanatory texts, they would’ve realised this CSOL is ONLY for skilled in demand visa.
