What's hilarious is how they happen to run into Lando on a completely random planet that is a complete rip off of Tatooine. "Oh my gawwwd, you're here too. What a coincidence!" Seriously, I feel like a 5 year old wrote this script. "And then Rey finds a dagger, and this dagger is a secret compass to a scary planet in the outer spaces, and then Kylo and Rey become bestest friends."

You know Rey,finn and Poe never seen interacted with each other in the last two movies so really it didn’t make sense.

I get the whole Rey being a nobody but really shouldn’t she want know if her parents being alive is important than being related to someone famous however whole being a nobody wasn’t an issue in Star Wars in general in prequels the Jedi are nobody but famous through there own merits like Obi Wan kenobi,Qui gon, kit fisto, Mace Windu etc

It's not that it really matters whether Rey is a nobody or related to someone important. My criticism is that it feels that the whole Rey is a palpatine thing wasn't planned out. TLJ seemed to make it pretty clear that Rey was a nobody. When Kylo revealed that to Rey, it seemed like an important revelation and not just a piece of misdirection to fool us later. Rey being a palpatine was something thrown in at the last minute and it doesn't really enhance her character in anyway, and was honestly anticlimactic

@@thecorellianconnection141 You know I kinda blame TFA cause they was setting Rey up as somebody important due to the whole vision thing they never gone to any depth to why the lightsaber called to her specifically.

@@jaieregilmore971 That's an interesting thought. It's always tough discussing the sequel trilogy has a whole because there are so many issues with consistency. I certainly don't put all the blame on RoS. TFA, and especially TLJ, kinda left RoS with very little to go off of, that why I think they started to panic and make stuff up. Like the whole palpatine aspect of RoS wsa really just a trump card that the writers pulled because they didn't have any better ideas.
