Jane Seymour Admits She + Christopher Reeve Fell Madly in Love on the Set of "Somewhere In Time"

You'll never watch "Somewhere In Time" (1980) the same way again! As far as I know for the first time ever, at the Turner Classic Movies (TCM) Classic Film Festival in April 2022, Jane Seymour admitted that she and Christopher Reeve fell madly in love on the set and that she got her heart terribly broken when he discovered his ex-girlfriend was pregnant. You have to hear this interview between Jane and TCM's Alicia Malone at the TCMFF screening of "Somewhere In Time", especially what she says about Christopher at the end. I was sobbing in the audience. As a Michigan girl, I've always had a soft spot for the movie, filmed at the historic and grandiose Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island in northern Michigan, where I spent many summer holidays and where they still have an annual "Somewhere In Time Weekend." I'd never heard that Jane & Christopher had even been an "item" and didn't know they'd fallen in love during the filming of this beautiful little film. Just makes the film and their personal story of heartbreak all the more bittersweet knowing this.

Yes, I couldn't believe it that those were her last words....will see him Somewhere In Time...she believes that she'll see him again. You know, it's the strangest thing even though I never got the chance to meet Christopher I also have a strong connection with him as well, and he doesn't even know who I am. So, I feel the same way Jane feels as much as of a BIG crush I had on him ever since her starred in, "Superman," I will also see him Somewhere In Time too...

I must’ve seen this masterpiece a few dozen times including tonight. To me its the best love story of all time. I can’t lie, I still get all the feels and misty eyes 😢. This heart warming revelation that the greatly talented and beautiful Jane Seymour gave us…… is just even more beautiful.
