Just a helpful tip. You need to apply a couple more swipes of the activator. The film didn't get "melty" enough. It should pretty much be a liquid by the time you dip.

Hi, spray cans for doing these types of jobs on controllers, are acrylics ok? because I used for example HARDOCORE cans, but when I use it even after giving the clear matt, it remains sticky, thank you very much
No I don't recommend those. You need the 2k spray paint I used. Once it dries it hardens like plastic.

hey, I'm probably going to customise my ps5 controller when it arrives, are the buttons the same shape so i can use my custom buttons from my ps4 controller on my ps5 one?
I think so just remember to make the black parts of the buttons white
A tip if you want it to last dont use primer for steel and rust. Use plastic primer. Then it will last much longer. And not get scratch so easy Aslo that clear cote it perfect ,
that will make it last for ever. Everything else perfect!

No you just have to clear coat it to prevent that from happening
So I do every step you do the problem I have is that when my controller us drying after hydro dip the paint will start to run and Smear., any tips ? Thank u
Make sure you did the activator over the film the same way I did.
I tried it and it still ran when it was drying.it didn't do it when I 1st took it out the water but once I let it sit their to dry I came back to it and it was a little bit runny

Once you clear coat it with that 2k max clear coat I showed in the video it's nice and smooth.
Hey man, you forgot to mention personal protective equipment. The 2k clear coat you're using is highly toxic, and you should ALWAYS use a respirator when using it.
The right film and activator is key.. And they say wather shal not be to hot little hotter then skin. Im a beginner at it aslo. So looking at a lot of videos to be shure. Smart to test on things you dont like to.. It can go real bad
